  • "Twisted Rose offers a great wine and food selection. The filet was tender and delicious, while the chicken picata although not quit an itlain flare offered a well balanced flovvoring of capers and lemon. The wines list is extensive and they have their own offrings. I recomment the Late Harvest Riesling, which was like drinking liquid gold, the flavor and sweetness were remonicent of a great late harvest."

  • "What a great find. Fantastic food, waiter was very knowledgable and friendly. Surprise they do wine making on the premises. The two we tasted were very good, especially the Shraiz. "

  • "We were seated and greeted by a knowledgeable server who explained how the Deal chicken certificate worked. We enjoyed the choice of wine(muscat). We shared the appetizer and the dessert as was the policy. Our entrees were good, although not overly large. Service between courses was slow. The value for what we paid for the certificate was fine, but was DEFINITELY NOT $112 value and not what I would classify as "romantic"."

  • "We found Twisted Rose Winery on Yelp and were surprised that it was so close to us and have never heard of it before. This place has great waiters/service, great wines and decent food. I got a wine flight and a Tuscan chicken sandwich and my boyfriend got a flight and fish and chips (which he said was the best he's had outside of England). Would go there again!"

  • "It was a little to find, perhaps due in part to our not being familiar area. The staff was friendly and the food and wine were fine. We would definitely return if we were in the Scottsdale area. Prices were reasonable."

  • "Food was excellent. Only issue with the service was we asked that my salad come out with the appetizer because I was eating the salad and my date was eating the appetizer... and we had to ask for the salad, after the appetizer was eaten other than that it was a great dining experience. And we will be returning."

  • "My husband and I had the opportunity to eat here on Sunday evening. Our server Robert was very attentive and knowledgeable about both the menu and wine list. His recommendations were spot on. I had the chicken piccata which was wonderful and the wines which were made in house were surprisingly very good. We were impressed and will definetly be back when we are in the neighborhood."

  • "Very pleasant place. Limited but interesting menu. Local wines, plus a selection of others, as well as beer and mixed drinks available. Nice bar and smallish but nice outdoor area."

  • "We really enjoyed our dining experience we drove in from Anthem . The musician playing had a great song selection. He was a nice compliment to the evening."

  • "We decided to try out the location. We were looking forward to it since it was a winery. The owner talked to all the guests, as well as a great server. Our disappointment came when the "filet" came out. It was dry, no flavor and tasted like an inside choice instead of a tenderloin. The consistency as well was not that of a tenderloin cut. Our waiter suggested a wine that was a bit unusual, so we went with his suggestion without looking at the wine list. When we got the bill, I was astounded to find that the glass of wine was $15.00. The rest of the meal was tasty & my husband was happy with his choice. I would suggest this as a nice spot for dining, but keep your eye on the wine prices & order anything but the filet."

  • "We went to the Twisted Rose Winery and Eatery for a birthday which was included within our Open Table reservation but not acknowledged by the server (not even a verbal Happy Birthday). Steaks ordered medium were delivered rare. Menu indicated the tenderloin steak was served with a Merlot sauce. The sauce is actually more of a tomato sauce. It did not pair well with the steak. Potatoes served with the steak were hot with a bit of crisp on the outside and were good. Salad served with the steak had too much dressing on it. The salad was served on the same plate as the hot steak and hot potatoes so the salad was lukewarm. Chocolate Mousse dessert was actually a cup with layered cherries and juice and very thick chocolate. Disappointing."

  • "The service was a bit slow but the food was fantastic. We will go back hoping that the slow service was the result of a bad night. Loved the filet and the chocolate lava cake."

  • "Four of us entered the Twisted Rose at 7 pm and had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Not a good sign but for the fact that by 8 o'clock a few more tables were filled. Two of us ordered the special - a chef's choice homemade pasta and meatballs. I ordered a hamburger. The pasta portions were on the small size and although it was hefty and tasty, my hamburger was cold. We were surprised to find thatat a place that bills itself as a winery, one of us could not order the wine she wanted; they didn't have it. Desert was excellent. While not expensive, none of us felt that we received a good value for what we spent."

  • "We were searching Open Table for a restaurant close to home and a place we had not been to before. The Twisted Rose was a pleasant surprise. With a friendly and knowledgeable staff we felt welcome and comfortable. The Twisted Rose wines were good. I had a Sauvignon Blanc and my husband had a Pinot Noir. We split a beet salad. My husband had the Chef's Pasta of the evening which was Fettucine with Meatballs and a Marinara Sauce. I had a gluten free, vegetarian entree, Mushroom Risotto with Vegetables. The presentation was lovely and the chef came to the table. We would go there again."

  • "Love this PLACE; what a great find. Our waiter had wonderful suggestions on their wines to be paired with food; our waiter was also one of the wine makers. Large portions, suggest splitting the butter squash/almond salad in addition to the menu selection, if you want to enjoy the great apple crisp! Chicken special was very good; very tasty, moist with a great presentation."

  • "We had dinner reservations on a Saturday evening - 6:30 pm.. Located in North Scottsdale in a strip shopping center. We were seated in the middle of the room, very quiet.. Decor was simple.. casual attire.. a couple of us decided on the house special - a crab fettuicine - not so good, both meals were sent back. replaced with a very small ceasar salad and a chicken sandwich (good). A few of us ordered fish and chips and were told we would have 2-3 large size filets of fish - not so... 2 finger size pieces.. our server was nice, apologetic as there were problems in the kitchen with the gas stove, meals weren't served together (there were 6 of us) overall, disappointed, and will not make the drive again.."

  • "We sat on the patio for dinner, All of our dinner/appetizer selections were superb! This is a little winery in Scottsdale! The wine is bottled on site, if you are lucky you may (most likely) get a tour of the wine room, and an education of different wines and how they are made, and best of all, we got to taste right out of the barrel! We've joined their Wine Club, a very wonder value for wine lovers! Some of their best food selections, Farror-butternut squash salad, ANY pasta special ( Best pasta Ever), Filet- Delish!, Bread Pudding, Best desert is a brownie with goo in the middle covered with caramel sauce (homemade) with icecream! Shawn, our server both visits, such a delight, he's fun, attentive, educational on menu items! Will be Back"

  • "This establishment was unique, and not a cookie-cutter approach. Beth Ann, one of the partners, introduced herself and explained how the wines are produced. She also made an excellent recommendation, based on my preferences. I enjoyed a nice steak and potato dinner. Prices were reasonable, service was attentive. I would definitely return."

  • "Perfect venue for a relaxing evening with a friend. The service was outstanding--friendly and helpful, but not overbearing. Great wine selection and excellent information as we were choosing a wine. Food was delicious too. we went there on a whim and were so delighted. Don't let the fact it is in a strip mall deceive you. This is a great dining experience."

  • "Great concept ... "homemade" wine, but not with AZ grapes. The wine is avg at best, but that would be OK if the food was exceptional. We got to try the variety of offerings (which was fun). they also offer brands to supplement their own (good idea, but only by the bottle). The food is simply OK. We may try it again, but not ready to recommend to friends. The help was really good ... friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The ownership also has a Certified Pre-owned car place next-door which was very cool. Net-net, they need to crank up the food or decide if you offer fine food or be a great buyer type place."

  • "The Twisted rose is an amazing resturant. I have tasted the wine from their shop in Fountain Hills and was beyond excited to know that they would soon open a resturant. The food was incrediable, I have never tasted a sandwich that had so much flavor. Words cannot describe how incrediable the wine selection and how well the it is paired with the food. The service makes you feel like family. This was the first time I was able to take my mother in law, she loved it there and talks about visiting soon. Thank you, for the incrediable memories. This resturant is a place that you will want to visit over and over again."

  • "Out of town and looking for a restaurant close to our hotel, we selected Twisted Rose. The food was excellent, the service was excellent and the wine was excellent. Highly recommend doing wine flights and sharing food. Yes, there are some wines on the wine list that you can get anywhere. Stay away from them. The Twisted Rose makes their own and they do it well. You can't get these wines anywhere else. Try them, you'll like them."

  • "We were visiting for New Year's and found this great spot! We were there for New Year's Eve and enjoyed a wonderful 4 course fixed price menu. The appetizer and salad were excellent... everyone at our table loved the apple with barbeque. There was a slight timing glitch and a couple of the meals were not warm when they arrived at the table. The waiter and owners took care of it immediately. I would definitely go back. LOVED the wine list and the ambiance!"

  • "I wish I could give a 3.5. At the last minute they upped our reservation from two to four no problem. Very welcoming, cozy. Friendly staff. Our server was nice, but we felt like it took a while to order. Once we ordered, it took a while to get our food. Even the Charcuterie, which one would think the kitchen could get out fairly quickly. The food was good, but not hot. We let them know about the temps, not to complain, but just for their own improvement. They were extremely apologetic and offered new orders, but we declined. Great place, great wine, good food, with some room for improvement."

  • "We drove by the Twisted Rose a few times prior to deciding to try it. We're so glad we did, as we've not only become regulars for dinner and brunch, but we also joined their wine club. The food is wonderful, the owners make you feel like a VIP every time you visit, and their wines are excellent. We can also highly recommend the wine club, which is an excellent value."

  • "What an interesting place. First the odd: the location is in a strip mall next to a high-end car dealer, also in a strip mall. Now the good: they make their own wine which is high quality. They also aim high on their menu. Foodie gourmet items lace the menu. The execution was uneven however. The simpler items on the menu were the most successful. The atmosphere seemed perfect to us. It is an odd blend of elements that make up the Twisted Rose: Foodie menu, strip mall location, a guitar strumming singer and a casual atmosphere work well together."

  • "While I would never have seen this spot, the Yelp reviews drove me to test it out. I took my staff here for a holiday lunch. The food was incredible! The server knew so much about the food and explained "why" things were on the menu, not just what was there. The bruschetta was some of the best I've ever had-especially the burrata. Between the three of us, we had a burger, a chicken sandwich and a salad. All of us were thrilled with our choices and had "just" enough room to share a piece of apple/raspberry bread pudding at the end. We're excited to come back for a happy hour, as the wine and beer list looked well rounded."

  • "The owner, chef, and waiter were very welcoming and kind. The sandwiches and salads we ordered were excellent. As it was lunch, we did not try their extensive wine list. The Boston best steak sandwich and organic Salmon sandwich, and the Twisted House salad, the homemade cole slaw, and the apple crisp were excellent! They provided a complementary bread pudding for our table which was superb. We plan to return in the evening when they have live music and when we can sample their wines. Thanks!"

  • "There were 4 of us in my group, two of which have hearing impediments. The environment was energetic and I personally loved it, but it was way too loud for the two with hearing aids. However they were so accommodating when we asked if we could sit outside. It was cool and raining, but they right away set up not 1, but 2 heating lamps for us, and constantly checked on how comfortable we were. The service/food was absolutely amazing! When we left the manager and another person (not sure if owner or another manager) was there to greet us and make asked us how things went...mind you we were outside so they had to come outside to see us off. I just can't say enough about this place. Definitely will go back there when I'm in that area."

  • "What a find! Atmosphere, Food, Service, live music. Originally I gave a wonderfully detailed review then realized I was limited with characters. Suffice it to say, Twisted Rose has ALL the right qualities! Atmosphere, from greeting to good bye (even the chef acknowledged us on his way out) YES, we were there from 6 to beyond closing. The wine list is vast & varietal. The food is simple, elegant & perfectly prepared. Everything was delectable & we grazed for over 3 hours, from appetizers to dessert! Our server, Tiffany, was on target & always available. She knew her menu & made excellent suggestions. We ordered a wide variety & will do that again. Try everything, go back & try something different each time. You won't be disappointed."
