Diner Reviews
  • "Despite being in the Mall of America, the good is good and the service is usually pretty solid. They used to have a great wine list, but seem to done away with their broad selection and switched to a limited set of options - no bad wine by any means though, but it was one of the things that used to draw my group there. It's a little crowded and loud, but manageable."

  • "We've never been disappointed at TC Grille. Been dining here off and on since it opened. The food has always been above par and the service has always been special. They do a good job."

  • "My group of 4 friends went to Twin City Grill for dinner, on a Tuesday evening. We were seated immediately, and the server came by quickly to take our drink order, and brought dinner rolls to our table. The rolls are wonderful - old fashioned like grandma would make. The menu is a mix of American cuisine, with good choices between salads and entrees of chicken, beef and seafood. I ordered a salad and my friends ordered the fish tacos and everyone enjoyed their meal. They highlighted twin city beverages and food in their menu (beer, fish, ice cream the basics of a Minnesotan diet) and looking at the other tables, their food looked delicious as well. I would definitely go back."

  • "My wife and I both ordered the Walleye. The meal was wonderful and the service was exceptional. Our waitress was very attentive and we were very pleased with the whole experience."

  • "I eat as a vegan and was able to order vegetables and potatoes. Both were made to my order and very good. The atmosphere is nice, dark and cozy and quiet."

  • "We needed a place near the airport where parties coming from four different directions could meet for dinner. Not only could individuals wander the shops and halls of Mall of America while we collected over a two hour period but this was the perfect place for dinner as one person in our party of 12 required a gluten free option."

  • "My sisters and I frequent Twin City Grill and love the food. This is the second time we've had Nathan as a server and we'll probably request him in the future. He really made it an enjoyable night for us!"

  • "Most of the service throughout the night was great, however, once we received our bill, no one else checked on us for another water, see how we were doing, etc. We noticed that several servers and even the manager walked by several times without asking us. It was just a little disappointing since the beginning of the evening went so well."

  • "We ordered the Walleye in many different preperations and all were just wonderful. There was plenty of food as portions are pretty large. This is a classier restaurant than most lunch places and a good spot for clients or social lunches."

  • "We were visiting the mall of America from Pittsburgh, it was my sons 26th birthday and I wanted a really nice night for him. It was so noisy in there we couldn't talk to the person next to us. The food was very good, we ordered appetizers, roasted chicken flatbread. while my son was eating the flat bread he choked on a bone. When we brought it up to the waitress her response was "it happens". I could not believe she said that. I have been in the restaurant business since 1986 and I would not have someone working for me who fluffed off something so serious. She never apologized or asked if we would like another. All the good we had at the restaurant was over shadowed by our waitress. Thank you"

  • "Every time I go to Minneapolis it is a must that I go to this restaurant. Best rib eye I have ever had, and I don't know what they put in their mashed potatoes but they are to die for!!"

  • "Twin City Grill is what I call a consistent restaurant. You're almost always guaranteed a decent meal and service. But the restaurant we used to love ... is becoming just "okay.""

  • "I hadn't been to this staple in the Mall of America for many years. A work colleague and I had dinner while in town on business and had a great meal. I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes-- absolutely delicious and probably the best meatloaf I ever had. My buddy had the prime rib and a baked potato and loved it. On tap is a local lite beer from Schnel's (sp?) which was great. We pounded down two each. For dessert, I had the Banana Cream Pie and he had Cheescake. Both were very good. Service was friendly and very efficient. When I told the waiter how much I liked the mashed potatoes, he brought out more as a side. I think this place is a great example of high quality American-style diner food. They do it right."

  • "They have a surprisingly extensive kids' menu with great choices that keep kids taste in mind. We also enjoyed our meals so it's a great place for the whole family!!"

  • "We enjoyed good food and attentive service. We chose this restaurant because they take reservations and because it was recommended by a friend. It was a great place to bring a family or enjoy a dinner date with just adults. We will come back when we are in the area again!"

  • "Always reliable service and food with its themed Minnesota-vibe. Nice to step outside of MOA chaos into the inviting atmosphere here. "

  • "My friend and I were on vacation at the Mall of America celebrating our 50th birthday when we had dinner at the Twin City Grill. The service was very prompt and attentive. When they heard we were celebrating our birthdays, they surprised us both with a chocolate lava cake and ice cream dessert. Our dinners were excellent. Great variety and lots of comfort foods. Don't pass up the creamed corn."

  • "I was invited to for business lunch meeting at Twin City Grill. I was dubious about the restaurant as it is in the Mall of America. Boy was I wrong. The decor is warm, rich and inviting. The mall entrance was not visible from our table and it was easy to forget were at the mall. The service was good and my burger was very good. All four of us at the table enjoyed our food and commented on the quality. I would recommend this place to others."

  • "This was a special celebration lunch, and the attentive staff deserve a 5-star rating. However, the tables are crammed so close together that a person has to walk down an aisle to talk to someone on the other side of the table. The food was fabulous; I highly recommend the reuben and the beef stroganoff. They have awesome vinegar fries, so be prepared for that. It didn't say that on the menu, but my party informed me, so I was glad I knew ahead of time. If a person doesn't like vinegar fries, make sure you request them that way, and that's how the kids' meals were prepared. Enjoy!"

  • "My wife and I have been to the Twin City Grill a number of times and each time it's fantastic. She's gluten free and their gluten free menu is quite good with many items to choose from. Their regular menu is top drawer. I recommend the Twin City Grill. "

  • "Our visit to Twin City Grill was wonderful. We weren't sure it was going to start that way as when we arrived our reservation through OpenTable was not in the system. Even though they were busy, they immediately accommodated us and didn't make an issue out of it. The service was wonderful, recommendations for that day spot on and food was prepared perfectly. We enjoyed every last bite. Even though this is a "mall" restaurant, once you past the hectic mall setting, the restaurant atmosphere is comforting. "

  • "I had high hopes for this place after reading all the great reviews. While the location was great since my two friends and I were staying at the Radisson Blu, the food was not what I was expecting. Each of us had a different cut of steak and all of them were dry and not very flavorful. My ribeye was slightly overcooked and again, hardly any flavor. The restaurant itself had a great vibe and MN decor, however the food ruined the experience."

  • "Come to MOA every year on vacation and start with Twin City. Excellent food and service normally. On our second visit the waiter was not very nice. Seemed like everything was bothering him. Maybe just a bad day. "

  • "Whenever in the area, we go to Twin City Grill. We cannot get walleye in Boston, need to get it here! Fresh tartar sauce is amazing."

  • "Our server was okay but not especially friendly. We asked about the beer selection because we hadn't heard of most of them and he was a little snotty in his reply that we obviously weren't from MN or else we would know. We had the bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer. They were good but very greasy. I had a salad with steak and blue cheese dressing and it was ok but way too heavy on the dressing and there was very little steak in it. My husband had the steak tacos and he said they were just ok in that they tasted ok but the presentation was not good. It looked like a giant glob of food with not much color. If we are going to pay that much for dinner we expect a better meal. We will not be returning."

  • "Let me first say that we are frequent diners at TCG and typically love the ambiance, although it can be quite loud. We also are really enjoying the more recent menu changes. However, had the steak sandwich for the first time - poor quality, tough meat. Very few french fries included and heavy with seasoning. The rolls are fabulous, though - and we were not asked if we wanted anymore like we usually are. Children's meals little pricey."

  • "I was less than impressed with the food and service. The food was greasy and the waitress wasn't very nice either. Definitely not worth the money. We ordered fish, it was drenched in butter and came with one side for $25...not worth it!"

  • "Great find in a mall, excellent food/drink, great atmosphere, sit in the back and you won't know you're in the MOA. Server was great, noise was so-so. Will definitely be going back again, I could care less if any other part of the mall were involved!"

  • "My husband and I chose to eat at Twin City Grill for our date day because it had great reviews on a gluten-free website. Twin City Grill has a comprehensive gluten-free menu, complete with buns and cake! The buns weren't great, but it is so nice that they offer them. It's nice to have the option to have a bun on your burger once in a while! The dessert was to die for! Drinks were mixed stiff, and the staff was wonderful. We will definitely be going back again!"
