The entire experience exceeded our expectations and was absolutely lovely. The entire waitstaff knew of the special occasion (we had noted it in the reservation when requesting a table) and congratulated us throughout. The service was superb (the maitre d' went out of his way to hunt down some analgesic) . We brought friends who were dining there for the first time and also celebrated my wife's birthday. The restaurant provided special touches on both accounts, it was a wonderful evening. The food, service and dinning room/view were great. The dishes were prepared expertly and the presentations were beautifully designed. The ambiance is certainly among the best on this part of the Cape. Beautiful views, lovely room and very nice tables.
The food is always good although we felt like we had had better preparation and taste in prior visits. This doesn't mean it was in any way bad, just not as good as we remembered from the past few visits.
They certainly went out of their way to help our son and his fiance celebrate their engagement with us, which we appreciated.

It is a beautiful place everywhere you turn, scenic ocean views, incredible wait persons and an outstanding/creative menu. We highly recommend this venue for special occasions of any kind.
