Long an admirer of Norman Van Aken's cuisine, this restaurant did not disappoint. Delicious food, good wine list and knowledgeable staff. A pretty good combination. And super close to Adrienne Arscht and American Airlines arena.

this is the second time we had dinner at Tuyo.... it is just fabulous! views are spectacular and being located on top of a culinary school on 2nd ave would make you think it won't work... it does. Norman's touch abounds and we will definitely go back.

If you are hungry, make sure you stop at McDonalds before you go to Tuyo. The portions are tiny and the noise is excessive. We were there to celebrate our friends birthday and noted it in the reservation. The only thing that came to the table after our "meal" was a big, fat check. We left disappointed and starving. Out first and last visit to Tuyo....

We were a bit disappointed after reading all of the great reviews for Tuyo. On the positive, service was great, ambiance was also outstanding with beautiful views and gorgeous fireplace seating area. The food and portion size were disappointing. Especially the appetizers -- grossly overpriced. Yuca stuffed shrimp appetizer amounts to two shrimps for $16 ($8 per shrimp). My husband ordered Chowder ($14) that came in what appeared to be a sauce bowl and amounted to about three spoonfuls. The shrimp was delicious -- would have been worth it for four. Main course also disappointing although the portion sizes were much better. My veal chop was extremely fatty. Bill: Over $300/3 people. We would take quality food over ambiance.
