Tutti MattiGreat food at Tutti MattiGreat Food, loved the specials. Its a smart idea to have a prefixed menu for lunch. Portions were just right. My only complaint is that there was very little vegetarian choice9/4/2013 12:00:00 AMReal findWe just moved to Toronto and were having to look for places to enjoy a dining experience. Happen to walk by one morning and decided to try it and were very very pleased.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMIncomparable food and serviceThe prix fixe lunch is excellent value, and features items also available a la carte. Service is embarassingly good. The customer is always right, even when they aren't. If you have a difficult person on your list of social obligations, this is the place to take him/her...The menu exploits seasonal food and ethnic specialties -e.g. think baby artichokes in May/June.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBest resto in TorontoI have been many times in the 3 years since I found this amazing restaurant and the food and service have never changed. Still amazing and prob the best resto in Toronto IMO - my spouse have worked our way down Joanne Kate's best of Toronto list and this resto is hands down our fave.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food!I took my mom there for a belated mother's day lunch. Everything we ordered: Proscuitto & Pear app, Short Rig, Brisket Pappardelle, Bucio cake, and the Lemon Tart - all were amazing! The wine list is interesting and offers more than your typical Italian wine regions/grapes. I had hoped for maybe one or two more selections by the glass. The dessert wine list was great.
My only complaint was that our server wasn't all that engaging. She brought us our food and was attentive, but I think she is accustomed to dealing with business people at lunch who typically aren't up for conversation, as opposed to leisure daytime diners. As it was our first time, I was hoping she'd offer up some recommendations or at least a courtesy smile...5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous foodNice ambiance, attentive service and amazing food. I will certainly come back and I have already recommended it to my friends.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMTutti Matti is one of my favouriteTutti Matti is one of my favourite restuarants in Toronto. Everyone is very friendly, especially the chef who speaks to most people. The food is excellent with a strong Tuscan theme. The chef spends good amounts of time in Tuscany each year. She really knows her stuff. While the restaurant is small, I have never had a problem getting a reservation.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMTasty but a bit on the priceyFood and service were excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Pasta is homemade and portions are large. Prices are a bit on the high side - for example the torta alla nonna (homemade) dessert was $11. Papardelle with braised beef was $21. Attentive service.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyable food!I lovely meal that was complimented by great service!
Would go back again, but need to save up, $$$. Wine list nice, but should be more accessible most everything on the list $100+!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMmissing TuscanyHaving recently returned from 4 months living in Florence I was sorely missing the delightful cucina. Tutti Matti perfectly captures the freshness and clarity of tuscan dining. Every course was perfectly designed and we will most certainly return. The house wine, La Sarta, which has been custom bottled and imported by the owner, was complex and delightful. Really fabulous dining.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was especiallyThe service was especially gracious, and the food was delicious. Portion sizes were perfect.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMrare and specialthis spot is a quiet overachiever! None of the dishes our party of 6 ordered were less than wonderful. fresh, original flavor combinations, delicious, light homemade pastas....you will want to order several things....but you will need to come back to do so! The owner is there most evenings and is also the delightful chef who is the hard working genius behind the operation. Prinicpessa salad is not to be missed. To die for short ribs and delightful specials. The lemon pine nut tarte is a must for dessert. Go! you won't be sorry.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFresh, high quality ingredientsExcellent food. REally every morsel was perfect. The only problem is the noise level on a busy night. Not the place for a business meeting on Friday or Saturday but otherwise it is a destination for foodies who are full of energy to celebrate the good things in life i.e food, wine and friends.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMcreative, delicious & welcomingThe dishes are creative and complex without being too fussy. A simple crostone delights the taste buds as a shared starter and it gets even better from there. The wine list is a bit pricey, but their own cocktails are reasonably proceed and a treat. Service was warm and friendly, but no one offered to hang up our coats and there was no obvious place to put them. All in all, I can't wait to go back again.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AM
