  • "Went for a nice meal before going to 4th of July fireworks. Food was fabulous, and my wife and I plan on going back -- soon"

  • "We took a quick day trip to Leesburg, VA from Washington, DC, and decided on this gem for lunch from its high reviews on OpenTable and yelp. It did not disappoint! We started with the crispy oysters as an appetizer, and I got the goat cheese ravioli with the short ribs and the boyfriend got the shrimp and grits. Everything was delicious, and the portions were just right. I can't wait to have an excuse to go back so I can try more items from their menu!"

  • "Met our son, his girlfriend and my inlaws there for my wife's Fourth of July Birthday Lunch. Sitting in the back room was nice and quiet, with good service and plenty of sunlight. Good selection of food and drinks for the whole group. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone I know."

  • "I took my wife to the Tuscarora Mill restaurant this past Tuesday for our anniversary. Though it had been a while since we'd been there, we've eaten there on previous occasions and thoroughly enjoyed the food and great service. We decided to return this year and were just as impressed as on previous visits. We were kindly greeted, treated well, made to feel appreciated by our waiter, and enjoyed a fantastic meal. Thanks to the staff of Tuskie's for helping to make our anniversary special; we'll be back!!"

  • "Reservations were easy to make using OpenTable. We were promptly seated in one of the small, private-feeling hallways off the main dining area, which was nice. It felt very intimate until a boisterous trio was seated next to us - loud ringtone, full-volume guffawing laughter, the works. Drinks were served promptly, bread not so much. Menu has lots of choices - almost too many! Food was nicely prepared & presented, tasted very good. We'll be returning."

  • "The food was excellent. The service was not great. We had a 730 reservation and then they made us wait for 25 minutes. The service was slow. Not a good place if you need to get in and out. Great for a date."

  • "Food was great, service even better. Our server, Steve, was tops. Our group, six of us, had a most pleasant time and will certainly return. The food was hot and tasty. Steve was most knowledgeable about the menu and his recommendations were spot on. The restaurant was clean, orderly, not so loud that you could not hear yourself think. All the staff we met were great. What I most appreciated was Steve's help with my brother, who has parkinsons and was not having a good day insofar as his mobility. Steve assisted me and made sure my brother enjoyed his meal and his visit. He went above and beyond what we have experienced in other restaurants. We have dined here several times and we will return, that is for sure."

  • "I took my wife for her birthday on a weekday. We were in the "Garden" room away from the bar. The waiter found the perfect balance between being attentive and leaving us alone. He even brought back a drink that wasn't made quite right, even though we hadn't complained about it, he picked up on it from my wife's expression. The food was, as always, fantastic. Fried oysters, seared yellowfin, duck, lamb shank, and desserts. Can't complain about the price at the end of the meal considering how perfect the food was. This is my wife's favorite place to go for any special occasion. Yes, it is pricey, but it is also completely worth it, especially if its a once and a while for a special occasion treat."

  • "Their music system was very poor... The food was great.. But it just did not stand up to a great venue..overall . Get it together!!! You can be great! Get rid of the table with the post up against it.. Not good!"

  • "fabulous dining experience! Top notch food and service. When making the reservation, I noted that we would be celebrating our 20th anniversary. The restaurant added several personal touches that were much appreciated for our celebration!"

  • "Needed a special place to eat for my anniversary. Based on reviews we tried Tuscarora. It met every expectation. 1) love that they support local vineyards - bring your local bottle of wine and no corkage fee!! 2) from the "happy anniversary" message on the menu, to the nice to go package at the end of the night, they never let us forget it was our special night. Everyone wished us a happy anniversary. it made it so nice. Our waitress was lovely, she was personable, friendly & when asked for suggestions, she had one or more. We had the duck & the lamb shank. both were perfect. great taste and perfectly cooked. Portions were generous and came with veggies. Had enough leftovers for lunch the next day."

  • "Always can count on excellent food and service at Tuskie's! Chef Patrick and staff do a wonderful job of using local ingredients to create new and exciting dishes that keeps their menu fresh."

  • "Food & service very good to excellent. Only complaint the room with the buffet needed more light. It would also be helpful if there were signs near the chafing dishes; would decrease the frequency of opening to see the contents."

  • "Treated my son and husband to dinner at Tuscarora and they both loved it. Everything from the bread to the desserts were delicious. Service, as always, was impeccable."

  • "We enjoyed great food at tuskies on a sat night for a fun dinner. The small plates menu let us try multiple dishes without feeling stuffed. Also, we were able to save room for fabulous desserts!"

  • "I love Tuskies, last Friday's trigger fish was a disappointment. It was over cooked and dry. The salad and spinach were excellent. And I love the service and ambiance"

  • "We go here often, and have over the last few years. The service is thoughtful and efficient, while allowing waitstaff personalities to add to the experience. We brought my 85-year-old father, in his wheelchair (had let them know we needed to accommodate it when we made the reservation), and we enjoyed our Father's Day brunch very much. Our group ran the gamut from a 13-year-old to our dad, and all had an excellent meal and a wonderful time."

  • "We went to Tuscarora Mill for our anniversary, driving from Springfield to enjoy Leesburg. We originally tried to get into Lightfoot, but they were booked. I'm glad we didn't. I've eaten at both, and this is the one I would return to. Excellent food sourced from local farms, with a true gourmet touch. We loved the 3 sizes of plates so we didn't overeat, but enjoyed every bite. Great service, too."

  • "My husband and I have been going to Tuskies for years. When I made the reservation, I noted that it was our anniversary. The staff created a custom menu for us with a Happy anniversary greeting and gave us two wine glasses with mints at the end of dinner. We appreciated their efforts to make our dinner extra special."

  • "We have been a customer for about twenty years and often enjoy the Sunday brunches - the buffet is just terrific, and the restaurant itself, esp. the Garden Room is pleasantly airy and architecturally interesting. Sadly, we had a less than enjoyable experience last Saturday for dinner with friends, mainly due to a grumpy, unhelpful waiter. That's unheard of for us at Tuscarora Mill, and I am sure management will sort that out promptly. However, although the food is good, it’s become more memorable for trendy fussiness and high price, than any "cordon" excellence. Even discounting the one-off bad waiter, on balance, Tuscarora has become a poor value for us."

  • "The staff was wonderful! Our menu was personalized with my son's name and birthday. Great service and a wonderful evening! There ended up being three large groups in the Garden Room --we were there first and still felt special as the evening wore on. I think the attention to our party was great considering how busy the room became."

  • "Food was decent quality, but a bit bland. May be fine for some, but my Latin palate was not satisfied for the price."

  • "Excellent brunch in downtown Leesburg. Lots of vegetable and fruit options along with the normal breakfast and lunch options. Grilled Salmon was particularly good."

  • "We were in Leesburg for a conference and stumbled across this great find. I loved the option of small, medium and large plates. Since we weren't starving, we had several small plates. The pork belly with kim chee was so good, we had to order a second helping. In fact, we raved about all the choices we had made. That coupled with a good bottle of wine, good friends, does it get any better? "

  • "Our family celebrated my wife's birthday -- everything was perfect, including the customized menus and birthday mug. The service and food were excellent. "

  • "We have gone to Tuscarora for our anniversary three years running now. We love the restaurant and it is one of our favorites. Food is always fantastic as is the service. This time I had their game dish, which came with antelope and quail in a wine sauce. It was to die for. My wife had the rib-eye. Service was fantastic up until time to leave. We waited quite a while to get our check."

  • "Wife's birthday choice, selected from No. Virginia magazine top restaurants list; we had never been before. Cute thing: They gave us a menu w/"Happy Birthday Mrs. Simons." Very good food, almost all perfectly cooked (we had lamb & arctic char entrees, only complaint was almost raw Brussels sprouts; potato - cauliflower gratin most excellent. Apps were very good (pork belly tacos & chicken&shrimp spring rolls; sauces wonderful). Dessert: brownie sundae (one of top brownies ever) and wife had a berry Napolean which was very good. We definitely want to go back. Prices in line with food quality .... Waiter was great, personable. I cannot rate it outstanding but how about very very good and we will definitely go again!"

  • "We enjoyed our dinner. The food was excellent as was the service. The only downside to the whole evening was a group of very noisy ladies . We thought they would be leaving soon and they stayed the whole evening. We would have moved to the inside if we had known they would be there so long. "

  • "Our gaggle of 6 women had a lovely time. Our waitress was lovely and even took time to take our picture for us! It was a very busy Friday evening and we were timely served. I have been the Tuskie's many times and the others all agreed that my recommendation was a hit. The amuse-bouche is always such a wonderful start!"

  • "My husband and I went here for our anniversary. The ambiance was very nice and quiet. We really felt like we were having a private dinner. They also have a policy which allows you to bring any Virginia wine purchased that day in to the restaurant with no corkage fee. My husband and I had visited wineries around Leesburg earlier in the day and purchased a bottle to bring with us. I recommend the scallop appetizer and fried green tomato salad. Both were phenomenal!"

  • "Our waiter seemed annoyed to be serving us. No refills on drinks. Some of the cooked meat came out cold. Alcohol drinks were great. Host staff was great. "

  • "We went on a Friday Night and were glad we had reservations. The food was very good, but the place is fairly noisy. It didn't bother us but if we had been hoping for a nice romantic dinner, the noise would have gotten in the way. We split the seared beef fondue (which is braised beef tips with sauce) which was delicious and more than enough for two to share. The venison was tasty as was the bean soup. Our waiter was outstanding. They do have a wine list that is someone lacking in good quality wines."

  • "We ate at Tuscarora Mill several years ago and really enjoyed it. So my wife wanted to go back on her birthday with the family. We ordered the crispy oysters and chicken and shrimp spring rolls as starters and the trout, chicken, goat cheese raviolis, ahi tuna and their fish special for the day. The starters were okay but the combo of fried oysters and creamed spinach didn't really work. The main dishes were just bleh. Nothing was "WOW" and there were some minor issues. My rare tuna seemed really dried out. And the smoked salmon hash was just grated potatoes with a few small pieces of smoked salmon. I got really dried out califlower to go along with it. The other diner's asparagus were well over cooked. We won't be coming back. "
