love it hereConsistently excellent...Very nice servers always!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMNew York Style Gastro pubNew York Style Gastro pub without the NY prices. Make reservations, this is a popular place for good reason. The owner/staff should be very proud.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing! This restaurant was simply amazing from start to finish! The food is phenomenal. The service was amazing, and the only reason we sent for four stars as opposed to five on the service is they forgot the one birthday request which we had made online and called in to remind them of. However this minor oversight did not take away from the amazing food experience that we had here. The wine list is comprehensive and eclectic. Our waitress knew the menu back to front and had some amazing recommendations which turned out to be simply perfect. I would dine here without hesitation again and again. An excellent restaurant for Leesburg.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways terrificBooked for a business dinner and asked for a quiet area of the restaurant. Was given a perfect spot where the noise level was low.
Food and service were excellent as was the wine.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely evening!Tuskies is one of Leesburg's finest restaurants! Thy offer a rustic and romantic ambiance, excellent service, outstanding food! We've been coming here for years and will continue to do so! They also have one of our favorite Sunday brunch buffets. A very classy and friendly restaurant!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Restaurant for a Special MealAll the food is great! The price is high but it is worth it for a special occasion! I also highly recommend trying a martini, they mix them perfectly (the pineapple upside down martini is the best!)5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMMemorable Mother's Day MealOur party greatly enjoyed the four-course Mother's Day menu prepared especially for this day. All of our selections were a decent sized portion and delicious. We all tried each other's food and enjoyed every bite. In addition, we even all came home with goodie bags to revive the memories of the previous day's dinner!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful restaurant! We had a dinner reservation for Mother's Day, and the food was delicious. A bit pricey as it was a price-fixed menu, and if you're not hungry, you'll pay a lot, but every course was delicious! Great service, ambiance - would highly recommend Tuscarora Mill. If you're looking for a more casual, less expensive meal, I'd recommend sitting in the front of the restaurant in the bar area. Can get a little crowded, but the food is great and I prefer the bar menu as it's smaller portions.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMRedeeming visit for TuskiesMy previous two trips to Tuskies were less than perfect. The food can be inconsistent - Ive ordered the same dish 2 or 3 times and it's completely different each time I've had it, onc of those times it was horrible. However, they redeemed them self this time. Everything was cooked very well and tasted great. The staff is always very kind and attentive.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMShrimp and GritsI had lunch with some friends a couple of weeks ago and
my friend ordered the Shrimp and Grits and said how good it was.
I then ordered it on this return visit and it was awesome.
Their Egg Plant Parmisagn (sp?) is also scrumptious - best I have ever eaten.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFine Food AlwaysThis restaurant has fabulous food and is always consistent.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat night outI went here with my mother and sister for a mother's day dinner. The atmosphere was great. Very relaxed yet upscale. The server was very knowledgeable and attentive without being annoying. And the food was excellent. I got the swordfish and crab cake and it was awesome. I highly recommend this restaurant!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, great atmosphere! The service was fast and our waitress was friendly, even when we accidentally broke a glass! The host was very accommodating as we decided to change tables into a different dining room. The food and wine were both delicious - I had the lamb, which I would definitely recommend to anybody. The only complaint I had was that my father's entree (the scallops) was fairly small and did not come with a side.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome sauceLast weekend i took my girlfriend to Tuscarora Mills in Leesburg, VA. The food was delicious, the service was phenomenal and the scene was extravagant. Everything about Tuscarora Mill was incredible. I will definitely come back if not for another romantic dinner it will be for the amazing drinks at the bar.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMTom and DorisGreat service, great food, good selection superbly prepared. Enough said!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways happy with TuscaroraGreat service and great food. Exceptional draft beer selections and wine list.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe arrived at tuskies justWe arrived at tuskies just on time for our reservation. We were seated immediately and the hostess staff was very pleasant. We had a table in the corner which was more or less secluded from the rest of the dining area which was nice. Being out for a nice quiet date night it was a plus not being near a large loud group (not that we saw any large loud groups there). The food was excellent, however a touch on the heavily salted side. I ordered the halebit special my girl friend ordered the vegetarian entree. The lack of other vegetarian options is kind of a downer however I know tuskies is known for thier meat dishes so I was not surprised. Overall great place I would definitely recommend it for anyone unless you are a strict budget.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe really enjoyed our dinnerWe really enjoyed our dinner last Friday. The service was commendable as always. The food was particularly good and we always enjoy the seasonal freshness and locally produced products.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food has gone downhillThe food has gone downhill - which is a shame because the restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful.
On this visit my husband ordered the braised beef and I order the shrimp and grits. The meat was dry and not well presented - a sad looking brocolini and pretty regular looking mashed potatos. For the price, it was a disappointment. My shrimp and grits was way over cooked - every part of it - the spinach, the grits, the shrimp....
The highlight of the meal was the corn chowder soup - which was hot, flavorful, and neither under nor over cooked.
It is disappointing that the "freshness" of the food was not evident in the presentation.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMBest in the Region!I come from Belgium Europe and this restaurant is the best I can find in the area. Very good cuisine! I really recommend this restaurant. I pay it myself a visit everytime I have to travel to Washington DC.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMA delightful dining experience!A delightful dining experience! I took my ex-husband (we are still good friends) there for his birthday, and the service, food and ambiance were fantastic. Oysters (east and west coast) were deicious and so fresh, the shrimp and grits was perfection and the mojito was out of this world (not too sweet). Our server was attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMLooking forward to going back!Great food, many options on the menu to choose from. Very nice wine list. The service was great4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMEXCELLENT! We ate there twoEXCELLENT! We ate there two nights ago and I can't stop thinking about our meal! Our mouths started watering as we were looking at the menu choices and we were not disappointed! I made reservations that morning letting the restaurant know we were treating a special guest to dinner and they seated us at a great table!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWhere to go for a special occasionGreat food and outstanding services. To start, some very nice salmon croquet with our drinks were on the house. Special favorites were a delicious venison and quail mixed grill and bread pudding with caramel and butterscotch. Attentive but not intrusive service. We went for a nice anniversary dinner and it was just great.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMService and overall ambianceService and overall ambiance was superb. Held a very comfortable low-key business meeting there for 2 hours. Highly recommended.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first visit toThis was our first visit to Tuscarora Mill, for an anniversary dinner. We enjoyed outstanding food and service from start to finish. Because of distance and budget we will probably not become "regulars", but it will be high on our list for special occasions!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent service by our waitor,Excellent service by our waitor, helped to make our birthday celebration a very fun experience. Great beer selection.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMLocal favoriteTuskies is always a great choice. Food is great and so is the service. I like it because it is not noisy, as so many places are, so it is a pleasant dining experience when you want to actually converse with your dining companions. Food is inventive without being over the top. I have never been disappointed with my meal. The main dining area is light filled, bright white tablecloths, fireplace and comfortable. There are a few more private areas to eat as well.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved the restaurant. VeryWe loved the restaurant. Very historical and we are looking to book it for our wedding rehearsal dinner on the 18th of oct.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Sunday Brunch Spot!We always love going to Tuscarora Mill for Sunday Brunch. The service is efficient and friendly. They go out of their way to be sure you are comfortable and well fed.
They go to great lengths to accommodate food allergies.
It's not too expensive for what you get. If you're used to going to DC to get gourmet food, try this place in Leesburg for a difference.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have dined at Tuskie'sWe have dined at Tuskie's for many years and have never been disappointed. Chef Patrick continues to crank out some very good dishes, and the desserts are always great. I am still trying to dis-assemble the Tuskie's steak sauce, which is excellent.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have gone to Tuskies onWe have gone to Tuskies on quite a few occasions and have always enjoyed our meals. We really like that the restaurant supports locals growers and features in season vegetables and produce. A must stop with out of town family & friends.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMHOME RUNOutstanding!
Very busy--hectic Friday night.
Server was a tad slow because she was so busy--but found time to allow a taste of a couple of draft beers and a wine-to help us narrow down choices--was most accommodating
Had Morrocan Lamb and vegetables---they nailed it--all the subtle spices and flavors were present--not easy to do well
Chocolate dessert was terrific--really nice--reflected Imagination and hard work
They weren't afraid to step out of the box and I admire that!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience. We absolutelyGreat experience. We absolutely enjoyed our lunch.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and a great experience.Great food and a great experience. I would highly recommend it and would go back again.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AM"Tuskies" is an excellent"Tuskies" is an excellent place to take foreign guests for an American-style menu with top notch service and ambiance. Waiters are happy to share the history of the mill with guests. The Rockfish special was outstanding and my colleagues enjoyed the Duck and Scallops. Most of all, everyone in the house seemed to be having a grand time and that made the whole experience enjoyable!3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food for a day outWe were pleasantly surprised to run across this place...they have the softest ciabatta we have ever had that they make in the bakery downstairs. It is in an old mill and there is an original room and seems like a couple of added on rooms that are a bit less fancy than the main room. They have a pear and goat cheese flatbread that is amazing, we have every time we visit. The service is outstanding and it is always a very busy and full place yet we have never had to stand and wait. It is a great place to eat when in Leesburg to stroll through the shops. You will not ever be disappointed with the food. Parking is plenty with a parking lot as well as a garage right next to the market.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLow on ambiance - since weLow on ambiance - since we were seated in the area outside the dining room3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't miss the long rib...The varied menu was so intriguing, and our party of 4 was delighted by each selection. Seeking something bursting with flavor, I asked the server for a recommendation. Long rib was a special that night, but will be on the menu shortly... Don't miss it!!!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMYou have to try the bread pudding! We really love the food and find the drive (45 minutes) worth while. Thank you for your amazing butterscotch bread pudding. The staff did a wonderful job serving us and even printed up a personalized menu for our Anniversary as we let them know just as we checked in for our table.
