A word from Tuscan Hills
Tuscan hills is an Intimate Restaurant in the Heart of Forest Hills.
Exposed Brick wall, Italian chandelier and wood table make it perfect for any special occasion or for a romantic dinner.
Our Italian food is focused mainly on Tuscan style cuisine, which is light cuisine, simple but with plenty of herbs and spices.
Our main attraction is The Cacciucco alla Livornese, a fish stew cover with pizza. Also Pici with wild boar, crespelle alla fiorentina and pizza and bruschetta from our brick oven.
We specialize in parties from 20 people to 40 people (and can accommodate up to 80 people) for any occasion: baby shower, birthday party, anniversary, wedding, and bridal party. We do delivery in Forest Hills, Rego park and Kew Gardens.
We also serve a lunch special that is a fantastic deal for $9.95 with many options. Most of our desserts are homemade, with the chocolate lava cake and tiramisu to highlight.

Diner Reviews
  • "This was a great find in Forest Hills, and having dinner with an Italian made trying this spot even better, and it passed the test. Really enjoyed my entrees, and the waiter was real helpful(of course my friend helped me too lol!). Definitely a spot I will come back to in the future"

  • "I've been to Tuscan Hills twice and both times the food was pretty solid. The food has been tasty and presented well so that is a positive. The brusceta is a good starter. I ordered a Penne Vodka which grilled chicken and it was good. My wife ordered the salmon and enjoyed it as well. Ordered a tiramisu for dessert and that was also good. Overall a good dining experience and a welcomed addition to Forest Hills."

  • "There wasn't enough choices on the menu. Certain dishes didn't have enough flavor. On my reservation I noted that we were celebrating a birthday but they acted like they didn't know when we go there."

  • "When in Florence recently I found a delicious hearty soup called Ribollita. I've never seen it in a menu in the US & was pleasantly surprised to find it here. It was wonderful. "

  • "Tuscan Hills offers the finest Italian food in Forest Hills. It is imaginative and quite delicious. A definite step above the other local Italian restaurants. The service is very good and the restaurant is charming. But you must have a reservation for peak times. It is not a big place and fills quickly."

  • "Arrived for our 9:15 pm and were not seated for almost 40 minutes amongst other couples. Ended up leaving."

  • "We arrived from Pittsburgh after an hour flight delay to NYC. Called the Restaurant and they were accommodating. It would have been terrible to miss this experience. If you are looking for authentic Italian food, then Tuscan Hills should be your next dining experience. Not just your typical Italian food selections."

  • "The food here is excellent. Especially we love to have Cacciucco Alla Livornese in winter!! True Gem of Forest Hills. The service is generally good but this particular day we were a little disappointed. Due to the snow, there are only few customers but the waiter didn't pour wine at all or check the food. We felt ignored."

  • "While Tuscan Hills is right on Queens Boulevard, it's of the beaten path of the usual Austin Street locations. Go the extra stop on the E or F train and you won't be disappointed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere cosy and comfortable and the staff very friendly."

  • "Tuscan Hill has great food & great service. Cozy place to eat I will return again. Near subways."

  • "This was our first visit to this lovely neighborhood restaurant. All the dishes we ordered were well-prepared and tasty, and we will definitely return."

  • "Excellent quality, expertly prepared, solid portions, great variety. If you love quality Italian food and don't want to hike into Manhattan, you'll love Tuscan Hills. The fried calamari is so tender, I haven't found better elsewhere. If you enjoy a bit of game, try the home-made fettuccine with the wild boar ragu. Absolutely wonderful. Every item we have tried over the past 2 years has never disappointed. There is some serious expertise in the kitchen, in addition to who purchases all the food for the restaurant. The staff is friendly and attentive and the lighting is good. If you are in the area (or not) and want a really g-o-o-d Italian meal, make a reservation at Tuscan Hills. You're going to love the food you eat - I guarantee it !"

  • "We discovered this restaurant after a favorite neighborhood place closed. We been going there on a regular basis, and the food is consistently excellent. The service is excellent - we've never had a problem - and friendly. The decor is evocative of Tuscany (without the hills). To us, Tuscan Hills is an "old reliable" now."

  • "Good for groups. Celebrated my mother's birthday here with a group of friends and family. It was a great night with great food at a reasonable price."

  • "What a delightful dinner we had. While the attention from the servers was only fair (not enough servers for the crowd) when they were attending to us they were warm and friendly and knowledgeable about the specials and the regular menu items. The kitchen delivered delicious food well prepared and not the usual neighborhood fare. I had a bacon wrapped roasted fig salad with arugula in a balsamic reduction that was a fabulous introduction to a grilled fish perfectly prepared and served on a bed of deliciously sauteed (and not at all greasy) fresh spinach. Desserts were homemade and excellently prepared. Generous wine list, fairly priced. We will definitely go again."

  • "As always, the food is delicious and you are never dissappointed."

  • "Homemade pastas were all good. Three of us had the pasta. Raw beef carpaccio appetizer was smothered in a lemon cream dressing which did not go with carpaccio at all. Barely was able to taste beef. Waiter took drinks away before they were finished. All and all not great but not bad either. Definitely order homemade pasta. Price was a little high for Queens."

  • "Again Tuscan Hills did not disappoint w/their tasty food, good service and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend - it truly is a neighborhood gem! Took a neighbor who had never eaten there and she was not disappointed either."

  • "We love Tuscan Hills. The food is fantastic. The home-made pasta "Norma" is outstanding. Everything is freshly prepared upon ordering. The owner always personally welcomes and seats customers. I like the rustic Tuscan setting and open kitchen -creates a lovely atmosphere. - Highly recommend!"

  • "fantastic restaurant.... tho I don't know if I want to reveal that and write a good review only because I hope it stays the way it is... great food, great people and not overcrowded..."

  • "I am a local and visit this spot regularly; the menu is inventive and not your typical spaghetti-and-meatballs Italian. Their signature dish is a fish stew in a light spicy red sauce; fish and shellfish cooked to perfection under a thin bread crust that you peel off to get to the fish and then can dip in the sauce. Fabulous! Also of special note are the wines by the bottle; they have a really impressive Italian wine collection at good prices and will recommend one to you in your price range according to what you are eating that night if you ask. Simple arugula salad is also a star, and the shrimp and bean and raddicchio appetizer. Never tried their pizza, but plan to eventually, as this is a place to return to again and again."

  • "Twice I have visited this restaurant because I heard very good reviews from men I respect. First time, I received indifferent, finally bad service from wait staff. Tried again. The second time the same indifferent female server almost made me want to leave but we stayed. The appetizer was excellent but the tough veal entree was ordinary and needed a steak knife. I still meet people who give this restaurant good reviews so maybe you have to be local and not make a reservation. Or I will go for the third try with one of them."

  • "One of our favorite places to dine in Queens. Every time we're there we try something new only because we typically get items off the specials menu but if not their menu items are a plenty and all amazing. Must have the lemon sorbet for dessert."

  • "I took my Best friend here for her birthday and it was a great setting. Quiet and great to relax with a glass of wine and tasty meal. My friend had a great time and the service was great. The steak was delicious!"

  • "Have been to this restaurant many times, and it never disappoints. Fresh ingredients, always made to order. And they always have something nice as daily specials. Desserts were delicious too! Friendly services, will definitely come again and again!"

  • "This is the best restaurant that ive been to in Forest Hills. I have a very restricted diet & there were lots of choices. They will custom make the dishes for you. I had penne with salmon in oil & garlic. Delicious! All other dishes ordered were also great. But nothing beat the dessert! One of the best that I've ever had! Goes with my credo..."Life is short, eat dessert first!""
