Diner Reviews
  • "A little disappointed in our recent visit the Tuscan Bistro in Toms River for dinner. The place just has no ambience and the food was all just OK. Also the wine list was very unimpressive."

  • "Our party of three ordered burgers and one diner order eggplant parmesan. While the burgers were fantastic, the eggplant parmesan tasted and looked exactly like the frozen Stoeffers dinner. After mentioning that on facebook-several people agreed and added that they too had pasta dinners at Tuscan Bistro and felt the same way. Red Sangria was hardly a sangria. It was red wine with a splash of seltzer. Have to say-had it not have been for the awesome Garlic and Parmesan wings as well as the BBQ wings, the dinner would have been a fail-the wings alone amde it worth having the yucky pasta and sangria-will return again but only for apps, burgers and beer..."

  • "I've been to Tuscan house about 6 or so times. It's right down the street from where I live, so I'd consider it a neighborhood eatery. The food is really good and I like the decor. I've had a party their before and the catering menu is fantastic and generous. They even let us keep our open-bar open for an extra hour, which was solid. It's also a great spot for dining with a family as the division of the restaurant into 3 sections allows for high-energy (in the bar area), somewhat energetic (the center section), and relaxed (in the large dining section."

  • "I have been t the Tuscan house on multiple occasions and I never had anything bad accept one rude waitress which I never saw again. I was vegetarian and thy have a good amount of meatless choices. Now I am vegan and only one of the appetizers can be customize to fit my new diet but there were about 2 or 3 choices for a main course two sandwiches and one entree which I got penne vegetal without the cheese. It was a little bland but I assume most of the flavored would have come from the salty cheese. Just wish more or menu could be adjusted for vegans."

  • "Had reservations and our party of eight seated right away. Server brought children's placemats but no crayons to color them. We had no silverware and had to ask waiter for them. Small basket of flatbread and one small plate of dipping oil. Not enough for all to get a sample . Salads were brought in a large bowl and we had to serve ourselves. Server forgot French fries for kids but did not charge us for it. Out of 5 adults only 2 thought the food ok. Won't waste money going back here"

  • "Very casual spot; decent service. We go occasionally when we are in the area for the fire roasted chicken (an item from their original menu) which is very good."
