We really enjoyed our experience
here. I accidentally just left the review meant for Turquoise for Sola. Sola was not great. So expensive and the food did not wow us. This place is amazing though. Loved the hot, homemade bread. The food was sooo good and the wait staff was very customer service oriented. We like to bring friends here who come to visit us in Chicago. Delicious!"

From the minute we arrived the
service was great. Our server was very helpful describing menu options. The dinner was a ten from the warm bread to the main course, and our server was also a ten. Thank you to the entire staff for a wonderful night of dining"

I used your service for a
reservation on Valentine's Day. However, your website did not address the Prix fixe pricing for the evening. The restaurant's website also did not mention this. I was very dissatisfied with the failure to that evening's terms to your customers. I ended up going slightly over budget and did not get to prepare. I'm on a fix income but wanted to treat my girlfriend to a lovely evening. The service was great and we did enjoy a fantastic meal but the night was close to ruined before it ever got started."

Everyone's plates were great!
Portions are large so you can share or take home for the next day. Can't wait to return."

Varied and interesting
mediterranean menu. Dishes are fresh and flavorful; and service is attentive without rushing diners."

As always we had a great time at a
favorite place of ours"

great spot to visit when in Roscoe
Village, always have a great meal."

This is a neighborhood middle
eastern food spot. They try to give you an enjoyable dining experience and for the most part they succeed. Because they are reasonably priced and attract many neighborhood people dining on the weekends should be avoided unless you are very patient. Street parking is usually available and there are three front barrier doors which help to keep people who eat near the door as warm as possible. If you try it you will want to return."
Dined on 1/15/2014
Modest prices on the menu do not
reflect the quality and variety found throughout the menu. The Turkish specialties are particularly attractive, providing several appealing options to the typical Mediterranean offerings. All in all a pleasant surprise for the wallet and the palate."

Food is great! We were there on a
Saturday night, and it was crowded and noisy. I'd recommend going at a less crowded time when it isn't so noisy - if you want to have a really good conversation and not have to yell. But the food is great!"
Dined on 1/11/2014
Turquoise is really a hidden
gem-quality of the food value for the price paid. The delicious bread and a beet, carrot and yogurt dip, then the lentil soup and fried zucchini. Entree portions were substantial with an interesting mix of flavors. Food is a really a nice mix of Mediterranean dishes. The service is a bit hit or miss. When seating was delayed Mahmut bought us drinks. Service was attentive, but we waited over 30 minutes for the entrees to arrive after appetizers. The wine list is reasonably priced and goes well with the food. Despite the service issues, we would highly recommend Turquoise for a nice meal. Just allow a bit of time, much like you would many places in the Mediterranean!"

Turquoise is located in a small
space in Roscoe Village. From the outside, it seems pretty quite, but when you walk in, you will find a vibrant, warm, happening scene. Once seated, they bring out bread with a cabbage, vinegar, sour cream salad to place on the bread which is a beautiful pink color and is delicious. They have also low cost wine ($20) The menu is large and has many interesting choices. My wife had the seafood risotto and I had the lamb shank. The Risotto was very rich and very good. The lamb shank was also good, but not exactly what I was expecting. Overall, the food is very good and the atmosphere is terrifically fun. This is a place where you want to commit around 2 hours for dinner, it is worth it."

Amazing food. Great prices. Do the
family style and you will want to go there weekly. Best Turkish food ever!"
Dined on 1/5/2014
Great good. Mussels, chicken
Gorgonzola and flambé almond parfait rocks!!!! Relaxing atmosphere. Good selection of wine. List of the wine of the month - great deal! Relaxed, typical Mediterranean service with little lag in timing. Ask for seating in the middle of the dining hall - too close to kitchen is little to busy and to noisy; too close to the front doors - between October and March you can catch cold from a draft anytime patrons enters or leave the premises. Overall two thumbs up."

Turquoise is a small restaurant on
Roscoe that my wife, daughter and I dined at on a Sunday night after a play. All of our selections - chicken, lamb and scallops were perfectly prepared. The seasoning was subtle but distinctive. The restaurant was only moderately crowded on a cold December night. We were surprised with a free dessert of raspberry accented flan - absolutely yummy. It looked like their patio would be a fun place to be on a warmer day."

Loved the food here – the closest
to authentic Turkish cuisine I've found in Chicago, along with some other standard European dishes. Monday through Thursday they have a four-course $25 prix fixe as well, with huge portions, which is a great value. Several vegetarian options are available. I loved the Turkish delight, which is a bunch of sauteed veggies served over hummus with pine nuts and golden apricots."

My girl friends and I loved our
cozy dinner- plates were good for sharing and all talked about bringing other friends and significant others back."

We took our friends, who are new
to the city, for a dinner at Turquoise. All I can say, they can't wait to go back."
Dined on 12/7/2013
This is one of our favorites. Not
only is the food always delicious, it is completly affordable. The wine selection is good and their prices encourage me to consume. Save room for dessert, the almond parfait is heaven."

We went for the Sunday brunch. The
food was great. Very nice atmosphere. Not too noisy. Will definitely be back."
Dined on 11/24/2013
we dine out a lot...and this place
was memorable...first of the food was wonderful i had the grouper,,,my wife had scallops...they were both perfectly cooked and the side dishes had well seasoned flair....very inviting decor,,,table spacing well planned and comfortable...the other dinners were charming...service was outstanding! we'll be back!"
Dined on 11/16/2013
As always, the restaurant didn't
disappoint. Everyone enjoyed their selections and a good time was had by all!"
Dined on 11/16/2013
This is my second time at this
restaurant and all i can say is the food is awesome. Service is usually slow, but this time around it was fast and the waitress was very attentive. Would definitely go back again. Try they yogourt kabab...they are the best."
Dined on 11/9/2013
Brunch here is amazing and
plentiful and incredibly priced. Dinners here are also affordable, delicious and filling."
Dined on 11/5/2013
Maybe it was because it was a
Friday night, but the service was really slow and took very long for each food item to arrive at our table. That being said, the food was delicious."

We've been regulars at Turquoise
for several years now. This time, we went to celebrate our anniversary. The food here is always terrific and the service is always pleasant, but not entirely efficient. We were seated in perhaps the worst table in the restaurant - at too-large a table for two and nearly blocking the servers entrance to the bar, so our table was bumped repeatedly. The weird table, the erratic service is all more than accommodated by the high quality of the food and the pleasant-ness of the staff. We'll keep coming back."
Dined on 10/27/2013
The waitress/hostess hardly
acknowledged me when I walked in. I came here with 7 people. The only reason why we came here is because my boss likes the food. If it was up to me - I would never come back here."
Dined on 9/12/2013
This little gem of a restaurant
has terrific food and moderate prices, especially if you stick to Turkish dishes, which we did. We tried lamb in three different preparations, as well as lovely appetizers. Meats and vegetables are perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the restaurant makes a variety of its own delicious breads. Service is attentive but not rushed, a real pleasure on a busy Friday night."

We've lived in Roscoe Village for
six years but truly discovered Turquoise 2 years ago. I cannot say enough amazing things about it! It feels like a neighborhood restaurant but is definitely a destination restaurant. It is always packed and the food and service certainly reflect why! Reservations on the weekends are a must. Outdoor tables are adorable!"

Went to Open Table searching for a
restaurant in Roscoe Village. Saw this one had open tables and good recommendations. This place lived up to its reviews. Food was excellent. Service started out slow but once they engaged it was the perfect balance of being attentive and giving us space. Will definitely go back when in the neighborhood again."
Dined on 10/13/2013
Very nice selection of appetizers.
Grilled calamari was very tasty & came with nice garnishing. Eggplant appetizer with hazelnut was also a nice change from the traditional Babaghanouj. Beef kabab was very tender & excellent, comes with rice & beans.Would highly recommend. Very nice restaurant, would definitely return to try the other different dishes."

I was there with a party of 4 and
had go service and exceptional dinner"
Dined on 10/6/2013
we have been going to TQ ever
since they opened in Roscoe Village.... uncharacteristically we had to wait 40 minutes for our table this evening ... usual manager/owner was not around .... Hostess was very apologetic but thats as far as it went.... the food was excellent as usual, as were the cocktails and wine .... this is a solidly good option for dining in the west Lakeview RV area ..."

This restaurant reminds me of
great little places I have been in every cosmopolitan city in the world. Great food, lovely ambience, attentive service. We enjoy it every time we have eaten there"

Great spot to go anytime. On
weekend and nice days make sure you make a reservation or may have to wait for a while. You will never feel rushed here and allow you to sit down and talk and enjoy your meal. You will never feel and never try to just rush you in and out."

We went on Saturday night with a
group of 6. Two were hard of hearing, they moved us to a private smaller room downstairs. Very accomodating, the service was outstanding and the food was great!"
Dined on 9/22/2013
I must admit, I now live in West
Loop as opposed to Roscoe so I may be jaded with my current pick of restaurants. Turquoise used to have the best fresh baked bread around, now just plain old bread. The appetizers were good but dinner was awful. My husband and I both ordered fish, it was overlooked, dry and our dinners were so salty, we were guzzling water when we got home. Even the veggies were salty. The wine selection offered very reasonable wines for a great price. The service was great, not pushy, left us alone and always there when we needed. Unfortunately the food all be the reason I no longer recommend or go back."
Dined on 9/19/2013
Our dishes were creative, well
done and full of flavor. Our grouper was crispy outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. Not too well done. Succulent. Service was impeccable. We ate outside. It was the perfect outdoor urban atmosphere. Quiet with a touch of city life, but not too much. We all had a great time."
Dined on 9/9/2013
Interesting food, well prepared.
The veal Valencia was nice but not something I'd rush back for. The lepta was rich and the osso buck was delicious. The service while friendly was extremely slow. They seemed understaffed anth kitchen over taxed. A good but not great dining experience."
Dined on 9/1/2013
We have been to Turquoise several
times and always enjoy our meals there. The menu has a wide variety of dishes, and the food is always prepared well and beautifully presented. The service is efficient."
