Good Morning, Thank you for the opportunity to write about Turner's Seafood Grill, this is about my 5th visit and have never been disappointed with the seafood. I had the Hake Marsala which was delicious, however the vegetables that went with the meal were limp and tired looking...as if they'd been on the top of the stove all afternoon. The clam chowder was hot, steaming and delicious and the Coconut Cheesecake was so rich and creamy I had to take most of it home. The portions were very adequate and the service was top notch. The noise level was much more bearable as I went in around 5:00 but they seated me right away even though my reservation was made for 6:00pm. Have a great day. I do luv good food.

The food was excellent, well seasoned, good portion sizes, hot and not a long wait . The dessert (chocolate ganache flan) was incredible. One half of the restaurant (the side next to the open kitchen is very noisy), the other half was much better. The server was very impersonal and abrupt, more like Durgin Park, did not match the classy food and ambiance.

I love this restaurant, with the exception of the noise level which was way too high! The meals were scrumptious including the desert -- which was spectacular melt in your mouth smoothness--totally decadent and free because we were celebrating my girlfriends birthday! My two friends had the salmon and I had the Finnan Haddie which I absolutely loved. They seated us almost immediately upon arrival and in a booth per our reservation request through your site. Service was prompt and efficient. Our waitress checked back regularly, refilling waters, drinks and to make sure our needs were met and we were totally satisfied. Could have been even better with less noise.

My husband and I dined with 2 other people to celebrate a birthday and anniversary. Two of the four meals were just OK. The baked stuffed shrimp were small shrimp with the shell left on. So after removing shell, there wasn't much shrimp to eat and the fried flounder special was very thin and overcooked. The risotto was cold and had to be sent back. Don't think we will be going back to the Melrose location.

My husband and I love going to Turners for seafood but we were very disappointed this last visit. Service was okay and the food wasn't too great. Presentation, taste, and portion sizes were all affected in a negative way. I don't know if this has to do with it being restaurant week, but we ordered regular entrees and we were not impressed. We still plan on going back since we've had many other good experiences there but I hope we won't have a repeat of our last visit.

We have been there many times and I usually love all that they do so I tried something new seafood fra diavlo with scallops. Tasted like canned tomato sauce with linguini came with 3 scallops. No spicy heat, and really $11 extra for three scallops. The Asian salad was delicious. Chocolate torte delicious too. Service was slow, but very apologetic . So many better neighborhood places out.

The best chowder in the Boston area by a mile. Great fish and chips and salmon. The wait staff is very aware and concerned about allergies - my wife is lactose intolerant and they voluntarily did not put a sauce on the fish as it had cheese in it.

Returning here after a few years, we were disappointed with Turner’s. The food is good, but the place is noisy enough to make conversation difficult; the service, which was friendly and fairly responsive, was also distracted, e.g., drinks which were to be served with the entrées didn’t arrive until those dishes were halfway eaten. The killer for us, though, was that our reservation through OpenTable was, according to the hostess, “not technically a reservation,” and we weren’t seated for about 18 minutes after our “reservation.” This isn’t hard. Restaurants above and below Turners for quality of food and number of customers manage to do it every day. We don’t mind waiting a few minutes, but a reservation is a contract. We won’t be back.

I frequent Turners. This was the first time I got oysters. My only complaint is that they put the horseradish on top of the cup of cocktail sauce so it was impossible to get just the horseradish. I'm not a huge fan of cocktail sauce. We also had an order of mussels, the basil garlic broth was delicious but we were a little disappointed on how many mussels in the dish weren't open. Still a good meal.

I love Turner's Seafood. They have such high quality fish and seafood and there are a lot of options on the menu. So there is sure to be something that will satisfy you. My favorite is their New England Clam Chowder and also Coconut Shrimp. The Clam chowder has so many clams and is really creamy and the coconut shrimp has a wonderful dipping sauce and is loaded with coconut. We were so full from appetizers and dinner that we didn't get dessert, but they have some nice options too, and you can get a pre fix meal for like $23 which is a steal.

It can be hard to find tasty, reasonably-priced seafood outside of Boston, and Turner's absolutely hits the mark. The selection of crab and cod cakes is delicious, and my advice is to stay away from the fried stuff and enjoy seafood as it was intended: grilled or seared. There is a lengthy lunch menu as well, so you can enjoy a culinary break during the day.

My husband and I dine out every Saturday night. We chose to dine at Turner's Thursday evening as it was our 49th anniversary and thought we would try someplace new. As for the clam plate at $24, the appearance and quantity was poor. One of the local restaurants we dine at frequently can outdo Turner's clam plate by 100%. As to the lobster roll, I have had better at the 99 Restaurant and other local establishments. I do acknowledge that this restaurant is a very popular one in Melrose and draws a steady crowd. However, I would not recommend nor would I eat again at Turner's restaurant. I regret that we did not have the best experience celebrating our anniversary. I do not see anything unique about Turners's.

I had some friends from Germany in town and they heard about the seafood of New England. If you are in North Shore, you can't beat Turner's Seafood - Melrose. While trying to translate the menu, in the end it didn't matter because everything we had was incredible. I strongly recommend it to those that want fresh raw bar, or simply a fantastic dining experience.

While in the Boston region for business, I was referred to Turner's by my hotel. It was about a 20-min drive to Melrose, a charming town which I enjoyed walking after dinner. The waitress was outstanding in her service and recommendations for food (I'm a foodie). The ambiance was eclectic--a dining room, a bar and a tasteful seafood market. The lobster cocktail was fresh and generous, and the Chocolate Ganache Flan was outstanding. I was so glad I chose Turner's for dinner, and would recommend to ALL who like great food!
