  • Food was ok, but the room

Food was ok, but the room gets very smoky from the grill and extremely loud from the bar. You have to shout to talk to the people you're dining with. My eyes were burning and my throat hurt when I left.

  • Went there for a bachelor
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

Went there for a bachelor party dinner. The atmosphere was great for what we were looking for. There were plenty of tv's to watch sports and there was good energy, while still being able to have conversations with everyone. The food is pretty much what you pay for, the $30 steaks taste like $30 steaks. The place is a micropub so they have a dozen or so beers that are exclusive to the restaurant. I got the Irish Red Caramel Ale and thought it was excellent. Overall a great way to kick off the night and I recommend for anyone going with a group of friends.

Ok if you don't feel like leaving the AC Sheraton. For a brewery, the beer was nothing special. I had the Irish Red and the IPA - both were distinctly "meh".

  • They sat us in the back right
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 3/13/2009
They sat us in the back right near an entrance that employees were coming in and out of constantly, even though most of the restaurant was empty. It took over 10 minutes for someone to come greet us and take our orders, and they were not even that busy. Then, even though it is supposed to be a brewery, they were out of the first two beers I asked for. This was at 5PM on a Friday, before they probably get really busy and they're out of two beers. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes after we ate for the check to come, and we were overcharged. We will not be going back. Maybe it was just a rare bad experience, but there are plenty of quality restaurants in AC who care about their customers.

  • We were there on Valentine's
    OpenTable Diner Since 2009
    Dined on 2/14/2009
We were there on Valentine's Day, which I assume is why the service was very slow. Our meal was almost $200 for four of us, and we each only had one cocktail. The steaks are overpriced for their quality. Mushroom ravioli was good. For dessert we had the apple crisp, which tasted like it was microwaved and like oatmeal. I would not go back again.

  • We made a mistake ordering
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007

We made a mistake ordering cocktailsa at a brewery - they tasted awful, a completely artificial taste and way too sweet. The side of mushrooms was oversalted big time and was basically inedible. It's a mix between a brewery and a sports bar. The food was average but I liked their dunkel lager.

  • Local microbrews were great.
    OpenTable Diner Since 2006

Local microbrews were great. Service was good but a little inconsistent. There were some lags between courses, checking back around (and it was not crowded on this evening). Those who ordered beef were very well pleased. One who ordered a seafood pasta could not eat it for the strong odor. I would eat there again but might be hesitant to take a group I was trying to impress, especially females in the group.

Located right next to the Sheraton. Free parking adjacent to restaurant. Wait time to be seated was minimal. Bar was out of some brews. Food prepared as ordered and was brought out quickly. Porterhouse steak was a little bland. Prices were reasonable in comparison to other steakhouses in Atlantic city. Total cost 200; including tip, for 4 people. Overall, I would recommend this establishment to others.

Being an active duty Marine, I expected something more. The inside seating and walls were spotless and shiny, the walls had little to know Marine Corps memoriabilia, it was a huge dissapointment. I would submitt that the Tun Tavern of legend was one that boasted portraits and plaques of significance. Two thumbs down.

My wife and I shared our entrees, both of which were excellent: chicken parmesan and mushroom ravioli. The ravioli was a very unique dish with gouda cheese filling and the mushrooms in a marsala wine sauce. A few glasses of wine prior to dinner prevented me from sampling their home brewed ale, but on the next visit that won't happen. This is an excellent spot for shoppers at the outlets in Atlantic City, within walking distance of the casinos, as well as train and bus transportation. The convention center is across the street!
