TulioConsistently superbThe food is enough reason to go to Tulio's--always fresh and beautifully presented--interesting without being weird. I had sweet potato gnocchi--great texture, wonderful mouth, and the halibut special with a sweet pea risotto that may have been the best dish I ever tasted. With help from the server, chose a glass of wine that perfectly complimented the food. The service is another thing to rave about--didn't recognize this server, but was treated the way I have been every other time--server was knowledgable, accommodating and looked like she really enjoyed her job. Sort of like being at the home of a relative or close friend who loves entertaining and is a fabulous cook.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was an all round spectacularIt was an all round spectacular dinning experience.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTulio? Terrific!Outstanding as always in every category rating. How often do I dine here now guys? Not quite once a month? From host to water pourer to wait staff to GM. Delighted as always. THANK YOU AS ALWAYS FOR A GREAT START TO AN EVENING DOWNTOWN.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMCozy and quaintWhat a nice little place in the middle of downtown. We were pleasantly surprised. Service was outstanding. Food was great.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat nightWe stayed at the W hotel and this was only one block away. Wonderful waiter, food and experience. Everyone was pleasant and warm. Every course was outstanding and the recommended wine pairing was superb. The noise level was minimal and the ambiance was comfortable and inviting. We would absolutely return.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThanks to TulioFormal but friendly service from attentive staff on a special occasion for myself and my wife. Burraca special with steeped grilled apricots and ricotta was good but fruit lacked tartness to really set-off flavors of herbs. Halibut was outstanding, superbly cooked and accompanied. Parpadelle were perfectly cooked and sauce was beautifully rich but slightly under-seasoned for my own taste.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat downtown locationGood food, friendly service, excellent location -- what more can one want. will definitely return when in Seattle again. Thank you!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWas staying at the Fairmont,Was staying at the Fairmont, and walked to Tulio for a Saturday brunch with my sweetie. The setting and decor is like something out of The Godfather, but in the light of day, it's a subtle backdrop for the food. The "Rustic Bread", their take on Eggs Benedict, was a giant slice of crusty Italian bread topped with a ragout of tomatoes and mushrooms, two poached eggs, and a well-made hollandaise sauce. Recommended!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMItalian grace and flairFor the occasion of my wife's birthday I took a risk and booked a reservation at a place she hadn't been before. The service was extraordinary, the cocktails splendid. We ordered two different salads and both were remarkable. The Pork Shank special was fall off the bone soft and extremely savory. The veal was clearly good, but not as incredible as the pork.
They treated us to a dessert which was very nice and not expected. Overall the evening was a hit, we will definitely go back.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMMini-Moon in SeattleNewlyweds with only a few days to celebrate, we stayed at the Vintage Park and dined at Tulio. The staff all made a fuss over us, made us feel very welcome. My wife had the duck and I had pork shank, both meals were EXCELLENT!! The wine is high end and pricey but worth it if you are into such things. Already planning a return trip each year on our anniversary.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a PleasureWe absolutely love this restaurant. We stumbled upon it the last time we were in Seattle and made a point (almost two) to make it back. The food is fantastic, the service is wonderful and the wines are enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful evening!5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMCramped EatingWe found the food very good and the service excellent. However, we believe that being crowded in like sardines and having to shout to talk to each other across a small table detracts from the good points of the restaurant.
Taking out a few tables and finding ways to damp down the noise level would improve this restaurant dramatically.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service and food!I was warmly greeted by staff even tho I was 45 mins early and got a great comfy table (booth style). All the staff are friendly and cheerful even when they got busy. My server was very knowledgable and descriptive about the dishes. I got the antipasti, duck confit, veal chop and halibut. All very good, the halibut was crispy and still very moist. The pistachio cream desert is a must try!5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMSuch a lovely mealWe chose Tulio because it was strategically located for all four of us; we will choose it again for the terrific food, service and ambiance. Antonio was our server and had perfect timing. Additionally, his recommendation of food and wine was superb; I hope he is our waiter on future visits.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful for a family gatheringWe had a celebratory dinner with 9 extended family members and had a fabulous time in a special section upstairs. The waiter was very patient with us and took care to meet all of our needs/requests. The food, wine, drinks and dessert were terrific.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful dining experienceWonderful dining experience - food was excellent, service was fantastic and ambiance was warm and inviting! Thank you for a memorable dinner!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMNothing terribly innovative,Nothing terribly innovative, but well-executed Italian fare in a traditional setting.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA good option if you're downtown. We had the focaccia with truffle oil, pappardelle, and fish of the day- Alaskan halibut. Our meals were well seasoned and the fish was perfectly cooked. The service was very attentive despite it being a busy night. They had a nice wine list and made my husband a lovely gin martini. At the end of our meal we asked for two espressos with an orange twist, and they were happy to oblige. The only cons would be that it was slightly noisy and the seating was a bit cramped. Still, a great dining experience.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat service!we received great service and the mussels were great!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat classic Dining SpotBartender was terrific. Food was very good. Classy classic feel. Quiet Will be back!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a great time!Every time I visit Seattle, I have to eat at Tulios. It is one of my most favorite places to eat. Great gluten free options and the staff is more than willing to make the meals to your liking. Will be back this summer!!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect pre-show meal!My mom and I had tickets to see Jersey Boys at the 5th Ave Theater and wanted to grab dinner before the show. Our servers asked us upon arrival if we had tickets and made sure that we were out in time to comfortably make it to our seats! They were fantastic, kind, and funny.
The food was great, but I had better luck ordering than my mom did. I had the chicken (by our server's recommendation. He said "It's the best chicken downtown") and it was delicious! Served on lemon risotto, it was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. My mom ordered the ribeye and was a bit disappointed, saying the bleu cheese crumble overwhelmed the flavor of the meat, which is tough for a ribeye!
All in all, wonderful experience! We'll be back :)4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMTulio has been around forever,Tulio has been around forever, but is a vibrant mainstay of downtown Seattle. We have had many meals there, and all have been wonderful. The high standard continues. Food excellent, service pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed our meal but wishWe enjoyed our meal but wish there had been more choices for wines by the glass. The only chardonnay was $14 per glass.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely meal at a buzzing restaurantWent to Tulio's with my girlfriend and found it to be a great restaurant. There was a great atmosphere in it, with a nice buzz of people chatting and enjoying themselves. The lighting gave the meal a romantic ambiance which was very enjoyable.
The main's were delicious, with portions being the right size. I had the Orecchiette which I fell in love with it was sooooo tasty. Michelle really liked her Smoked Salmon Ravioli.
The service was good, a but slow for getting drinks but it didn't distract from the meal. Our waiter was very friendly, and when they ran out of the dessert my girlfriend ordered he offered different alternatives and was able to get to get dessert similar to the original order.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMTerifficEverything was prepared perfectly and service was outstanding.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food but slowWe were at Tulio for an early dinner before an 8pm show. We had reservations and were seated immediately upstairs, which is a little quieter than downstairs. Very nice upstairs. Our waiter was prompt and attentive; food was absolutely delicious. The appetizers arrived promptly, but the one negative was how very long we waited for the entrees. In fact, we were worried about getting to the show on time. But the food was so good, we'd definitely go again and give them another chance to redeem themselves on timeliness.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were very happy with it.We were very happy with it. Our waitperson was great and very patient with us.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were seated at a tableWe were seated at a table towards the back near the kitchen which was fine except the lighting was very bad. This was for dinner at 5:30 so it was still very light outside but we could barely read the menu. The couple next to us used a little pocket flashlight. We sat at the same table for breakfast the next day and could see just fine. Dimming the lights in that area for ambiance is not such a good idea.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWhenever I am in downtownWhenever I am in downtown Seattle I favor Tulip for fine Italian.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food. I have enjoyedWonderful food. I have enjoyed Tulio'a and recommend it to all.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a Pleasure to DineWe are never disappointed visiting Tulio. We look forward to coming back again.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMMartin Hits the Homefun Again! My girlfriend and I often dine here at Tulio, as it is her favorite Seattle restaurant. Whether it has been for an anniversary, celebrating her graduation, birthday's, or for this occasion my new job and graduating with my Bachelors Degree, Tulio is a true gem and must for any and everyone looking for that perfect night out. This time we were joined by 2 friends., who heard us talk about Tulio, and they enjoyed the food, service and ambiance as well. Tulio will continue to be in my top 10 restaurants in Seattle.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMStill going strong...We LOVE Tulio's!! It is very cozy, the wait staff attentive and the food delicious!
Our favorite is the smoked salmon ravioli in lemon cream sauce!! Mmmmm!!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFavorite in SeattleThree stars for service only because of the waiter. Rest of the staff, host & servers were excellent. A friend was there the night before and had a great waiter, luck of the draw. Suspect more great ones than mediocre. Definitely will go again if in Seattle.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food! The serviceAmazing food! The service was impeccable as well!!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had made an early dinnerWe had made an early dinner reservation to precede a theatre commitment. Sadly, we were a bit tardy due to traffic bogs getting into the city, but the Tulio staff accomodated us graciously and worked very hard to get us out and on our way ON TIME!! Thank you, so much!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMService seemed a little slow.Service seemed a little slow. Some nearby patrons who came in later than us were served earlier. Even though we arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation (5:45 pm), we barely made it to the theater in time for the performance (7:30 pm).4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMJersey in the PWNMy parents and I dined at Tulio prior to going to see Jersey Boys at the 5th. Being from New Jersey my folks were thrilled to find that the Chef is as well. The enjoyment of that shared information was just the beginning of a wonder evening. James, our waiter, caught the vibe of our table perfectly which resulted in wonderful conversation and service. The food was prepared beautifully and tasted even better. If you're looking for a little taste of a warm NY or NJ style Italian this is the place.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMbrunch before a show at thebrunch before a show at the 5th Ave - great location - great food - easy park - walk to the 5th -4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat choice pre-theaterThis is a wonderfully intimate spot if you're lucky enough to be seated in a booth. The center of the restaurant can feel somewhat crowded. The food was wonderful (we had the lamb, chicken, gnocci and 2 desserts).4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWith or without the kids itWith or without the kids it is always a great expereince to dine at Tulio's! If you are going to the theater on 5th avenue, this is the restaurant to eat at beforehand.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific Tulio'sWe had a lovely evening at Tulio Ristorante in Seattle. We had a party of 7 and were shown to a perfect table on the second floor affording us a little privacy for our celebration. The food was delicious and the service was superior. All around, a very enjoyable evening.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful Italian! My boyfriend is a very picky eater and he absolutely loves this place! We both had a salad, both wonderfully presented and flavorful. I had the lamb sirloin which was cooked as requested and wonderful. My boyfriend had the papadelle pasta with beef sauce. It was wonderful as well. We will definitely be back!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectWe went for my wife's birthday. We'd read very good things, but our Tulio experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped up to the host's stand, every staff member in the place was great. Our server understood our dining "plan" and made excellent recommendations for appetizers through dessert. We could not have had a better experience. We whole-heartedly recommend Tulio's! Enjoy!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe bread is wonderful! TheThe bread is wonderful! The atmosphere is upbeat. We really enjoyed the food there. My husband loved the salmon ravioli. The best was the pistachio desert.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous Food and ServiceWe had reservations for an early dinner. We need to add to more to our dinner party. Tulio's was able to accomodate our request. The food was very good, and our waiter Juan did an outstanding job, along with the other restaurant service support.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
