After about twenty minutes of back and forth, we decided on Tucci's because of all the checked reasons above. The atmosphere, service, and of course the food are all deciding factors but the way the management and staff make you feel is important also. The only bad thing was that they ran out of the short ribs that I desperately wanted. My son and husband both had the filet with a side of fingerling potatoes. Both the steak and the potatoes were excellent. My daughter had the pasta with marinara sauce off the kids menu ($4!!!!), it was also very good. We had a wonderful petit sirah, and enjoyed the evening. The food is always great and the service is always commendable. We had theTucci's is great. We had the scallops appetizer, which was delicious. I had the arugula salad, and that was also terrific.
For entrees, I had the baked rigatoni, which was absolutely phenomenal. I couldn't even come close to finishing it, and it made a great lunch the next day as well.
My wife had the beef short ribs, which came in a giant bowl with all the sides stacked underneath the short ribs. It was also just great.
I'm often disappointed at high-end restaurants locally because it always seems like 1-2 dishes just aren't very good, and thus are a huge waste of coin. This has NEVER happened to me at Tucci's. They seem to care greatly about every single dish.
