Italian CharmerOver the past 15 years, my husband and I love the consistent wonderful quality of food and atmosphere. Tucci's adds succulent huge green olives stuffed with Gorgonzola to their martinis. Their wine list is extensive, and our waiter was skilled in helping us choose. I love the crab bruschetta for an appetizer! Plenty for two to share one order. Tucci's filet mignon so tender it melts in my mouth, and is always cooked to a perfect medium rare. Yum! My husband often orders the evening pasta special and smiles as he devours his dinner. Delicious! Our other favorites are their scallops and any of the pasta dishes. Tucci's is special because of the lovely owner, Suzie. She works hard to make sure everything is perfect! The customer service was top notch and the seatting was very comfortable. The place had a feel more like a small neighborhood bistro rather than an expensive restaurant. I highly recommend the crab bruchetta. My wife enjoyed the mahi mahi special. Wine list is strong. Our waiter was very knowlegeable about the wine and food. Also enjoyed at our table were the filet medallions and chicken marsalla. Again, everything was prepared and presented perfectly. Only odd moment was at the end of the meal, we ordered a dessert to go because we needed to get home (shared this with waiter) The dessert was brought to our table nicely wrapped, and then he dissappered. Eventually had to wave someone down to get our bill. The ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful, the service was outstanding and the food was delicious. My only complaint is that the prices are pretty high for what you get. My pasta dish was tasty but $33 is alot to pay for a bowl of pasta. I would hope at that price that at least a salad or soup would be included. The steep prices might be because of being located in the heart of Lake Oswego but still seems pretty high. That being said, it was still a great dining experience!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
