Wonderful Turkish food with a great wait staff. Good for a relaxed date or meal with friends.
I am a bit of a foodie..and I am of Turkish descent, so I have a very high standard when it comes to Turkish food. I highly recommend the crabcake, falafel, and borek (boregi). The lentil soup is great fresh & hit the spot. The feta prawns I thought were ok- my mom loved them.
The icli kofte (kibbeh) was not crispy on the outside. The Mucver center was too wet in the center. I would order these again with the hope that it was an off night because the flavor was great but the execution was lacking.
For dessert we got the baklava, Pyramid Noisette Chocolate, and Kunefe. My favorite was the pyramid. The baklava was a bit dry. The kunefe

Tuba is quickly becoming one of our favorite go-to restaurants.
I always get the lamb shish kebabs and the kunefe (you seriously can't go wrong).
The service is great, but the food is fantastic (and should be the reason you go).
Highly recommend!

Understated, cozy spot that's a bit off the Mission beaten path. Had the eggplant starter (similar to baba ganoush), lamb chops and shrimp scampi. Everything was delicious. Very generous portions for the price. Will definitely come back.

Easy access to a prime reservation time on a Saturday evening. Food was superb - I had the pureed eggplant dish with mozzarella cheese and lamb cubes. My husband had the tasty lamb kabab but agreed that my entree was better. We also shared the white bean salad (very good) and the feta cheese pastries as appetizers and the Kunefe and semolina desserts. Our waitress recommended an excellent value wine. Service was very attentive. The atmosphere is intimate but it does get loud. Highly recommended!

I had been wanting to try Tuba for some time, and decided to make a reservation for my birthday. We were a good sized group (11 total), and our dinner turned out great! Our server was awesome and patient in making recommendations for serving a large group, with suggestions for a family style meal with all the traditional Turkish dishes, and then some. The food was delicious, staff friendly and attentive, and my friends and I all really enjoyed the dinner. Can't wait to visit Tuba again!

Tuba is a fantastic gem of a restaurant. It's great food that will please both carnivores and vegetarians -- anyone interested in well balanced, delightful Mediterranean fare. It's a great, intimate place for a date or just a treat. The staff was wonderful, and they even took extra effort to accommodate our big birthday group on a Saturday night. Go.
