Diner Reviews
  • "An amazing dinner from beginning to end. The service starts from the moment you exit the private restaurant elevator. Great selection of wines and spirits. There has always been live entertainment in the bar area that adds to the anticipation of dinner. Great ambiance throughout. The wait staff is very attentive to your needs and will try to meet every request. Food is amazing and most dinner sides are large enough to share. After dinner you can relax at the bar, sitting room or smoke cigars in the cigar area. Great experience and top notch service. Cannot say enough about all the staff especially the manager Daniel and out server Herb. Highly Recommended."

  • "Central NY has a lot of great restaurants but nothing close to the Steakhouse. Great food, great service."

  • "From the minute we arrived. My wife and I felt like we were the most important people in the restaurant. This was our 21 wedding anniversary and everything went perfect."

  • "The restaurant was elegant with a wonderful view. The wait staff were professional and good at what they do. The cocktails were tasty but I cannot say the same about the food. I ordered the French Onion Soup which was good and the NY Strip Streak which was supposed to be dry-aged but simply tasted dry. My husband ordered the same and had the same experience. Another member of our group ordered the salmon and said that too tasted dry. I've heard marvelous comments about the food from others, unfortunately I cannot say the same about our dining experience."

  • "Perhaps I was mistaken in my thinking, but for the price, I was expecting something like the Western Door in quality. This is no Western Door. The space is romantic and the piano bar on the opposite side is a great use of the space; but the many under dressed guests and the noise level from a large crowd on the upper mezzanine certainly detracted on the ambiance. The steak was OK, but from this type of establishment, I wanted to be WOWWED by it. I cannot comment on the wine list as I'm not a wine drinker, but as a beer aficionado, I found the beer selection wanting, though our top notch server was able to make an off list recommendation."

  • "Every aspect of the experience was delightful. We don't often dine at a top of the line restaurant and we were impressed by the decor, scenery, and the efficiency, politeness of all staff members. I would definitely bring that special someone for a romantic dinner at TS Steakhouse."

  • "Food was fantastic. 3 people had the sea bass which was said to be amazing. 2 people had the filet which was cooked to perfection. Wait staff was very helpful. Host staff could use some training in etiquette."

  • "Outstanding dining experience. Impeccable service. A beautiful view. Everything was top notch yet it comes at a price."

  • "Everything was great. I'd rate overall experience 4 and a half stars pushing close to a 5. Love your rolls and cornbread. Some of the best twice baked potatoes we've ever had in a restaurant. Have only tried your filet mignon and prime ribs, We like the view at sunset. We go to Harrah's in Atlantic City often and like you steakhouse better. Will be back in a few weeks to celebrate a friends birthday. Marcia Simmons"

  • "The ambience of the restaurant sets the mood with a picture perfect view of the area. The staff bend over backwards to please and satisfy the customer. The food melts in your mouth...DELICIOUS!!!"

  • "the menu has few options and the cost is very high, we got the French onion soup, very different from the norm the flavor was way off.. and for what you got for your main meal was not worth it. over 150$ for two people extremely High!! didn't like that you have a waitress than many others serve you, didn't think it was right, that one gets tip and others prob do not."

  • "The food was good but undercooked and cold. The manager was great and provided us with free desert to makeup for this shortcoming."

  • "I loved the view. The look of the restaurant was beautiful. The filet minon and the delmonico were cooked to perfection. The asparagus and truffles were to die for. Overall I had a wonderful experience. The waiter was very nice and we had a pleasant conversation."

  • "It[s kind of funny that I go to a world class steakhouse and order a salad, but I do! Their version of a Chopped Salad is to die for! And my husband is enamoured with their French Onion Soup. He says it is the best he's ever had! But he also loves their Prime Rib, and their little Short Rib Sliders that are served off the bar menu. Pretty much anything you order there will be near the best you've had for that item! If you are so inclined to have a cocktail before dinner, be sure to check out whatever is on their Signature Cocktail menu...always a pleasurable surprise! And lastly, the service here is absolutely 5 star! In summary, we highly recommend the TS Steakhouse with complete confidence you will enjoy it!"

  • "It was our Anniversary and we chose this venue to celebrate 45 yrs...Daniel our waiter was the best, helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable...he made our evening special..the steak I got you could have cut it with a butter knife it was so tender..my husbands full lobster was already cracked for him...Loved every minute of it"

  • "Our window seat provided a view of a beautiful sunset. The staff was attentive and accommodating so we never had a wait or search for service. The wine list covered all tastes for the connoisseur. The quality of the food was superb and the presentation a credit to the chef. The cost to dine here is higher than nost of the area but you truly get what you pay for. This is a "must dine here" if you wish to be spoiled."

  • "I've been at a number of five star Steak Houses up and down the east coast. TS Steak House is in the top 3. The food was excellent, the wait staff was warm and attentive, and the ambience made the evening. Will diffenetly be coming back."

  • "I took my boyfriend to dinner for his birthday. We arrived a bit early for our reservation and were seated immediately. I loved that there was a dedicated elevator for the restaurant on the 21st floor. Once we entered it was a world away from the noise and energy of the casino below. The sun had just set and the view out the floor-to -ceiling windows was beautiful. Our meals (I had the cedar salmon, he had the porterhouse) were excellent. My salad (arugula with candied cashews, shaved apples and butternut squash) was wonderful too. He was pleased with the choice of scotches. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. We definitely plan to return. Pricey but worth the splurge."

  • "We checked open table daily as they were booked for Valentines day, and it paid off when we got a cancellation at 6:45. We have eaten at the steak house 3 times now and this evening was perfect. They had kaviar that evening and we were in heaven savoring every carefully prepared bite and then a bit of vodka. The steak was perfectly cooked and the sides were very tasty. Our waiter Daniel did an excellent job as did all the staff. Very enjoyable evening."

  • "From beginning to end, the dining experience is extraordinary. The staff is a great combination of professional, cool, savvy and intuitive. Don't miss the Candy Cart - the perfect ending to a great meal!"

  • "The service and ambiance were both fantastic. We had a 5pm reservation, so we were the first ones in the restaurant. We had a table next to the window and the view was wonderful, even on a dreary winter day. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good, just not as great as we expected for the price. The breads brought out were great, and we each started with Caesar salads, which were also wonderful! For the main course we ordered the NY strip and cedar wrapped salmon. Both were good, cooked exactly the way they should have been, but we just expected a bit better. For sides we got an order of macaroni & cheese (tasty!) and a twice baked potato (large serving but just ok). Would go back for a special occasion."

  • "I had dinner during Super Bowl so it wasn't very crowded and it was easy to get a table (the game appeared to be a blowout by then anyway). Food was exceptional, service was excellent and the room is great – great view from the 21st floor even. I love this place."

  • "The atmosphere, service, and restaurant were amazing but I was disappointed with the food that I had. I've heard mixed reviews about the food, that it wasn't worth the price, but wanted to find out for myself and unfortunately agreed. I ordered shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and day boat scallops for dinner. Both were very dry and disappointing. I would still recommend the restaurant for the experience but just advise people not to get the two dishes that I had."

  • "We got the 46 oz steak for two and it was amazing. It was cooked perfect. It was a very romantic. The 10 layer chocolate fudge cake was to die for. It wasn't too sweet."

  • "The valet service and personal elevator setting up the restaurant experience is great. Then as you walk into dining room the floor to ceiling windows, chandeliers hanging from the tall ceilings and most importantly view was outstanding! The chop salad and bread were perfect but I ordered the prime rib with the au jus and horseradish cream optional sauce and I was only able to eat 1/4 of it. Just a very fatty cut that left me chewing..... I also wouldn't pick the horseradish cream sauce or the TS steak sauce both of them didn't taste like anything spectacular. Also like in the other reviews I read the table are too large for a romantic dinner...."

  • "Our dinner was part of a package while staying at Turning Stone Casino, we received a $50.00 credit per person. While we went over the $100.00 credit it was worth every penny. I had Filet Mignon that I could cut with my fork and done to perfection, my husband had Prime Rib which he loved. I had the absolute best wedge salad I have ever had and the 10 layer chocolate cake had to come home with me I was so full, highly recommend this restaurant. The price point was high though so it would definitely be a special occasion place, very lovely experience all the way around."

  • "On a recent Thursday night, my wife and I dined at TS Steakhouse to celebrate her birthday; We were seated almost immediately; service was attentive but not rushed; portion size of salads and sides ample. Filets, generally ackowledged as overpriced, were perfectly cooked and so tender. overall experience very good; with the high ceiling and open space, the background noise was higher than I expected; the "walls" are actually floor to ceiling windows providing a 20th floor view of the surrounding area; at 6:30PM on a CNY winter night it's pretty dark.... we will plan on a return July (my birthday) for a spectacular view;"

  • "Not sure how much the average dining public expects from the food at a casino, but this was a great experience all the way from the drink in the bar, to the decor, to the exemplary service. My wife ordered a wine and the waitress gave me a taste also (my own glass); I've never seen that before, but thought it was a great touch. High quality presentation, high quality taste and a wait staff that doesn't make you wait, loved it."
