Diner Reviews
  • "My Mother and I ate there on Sunday, April 6th prior to a shopping excursion. It was great that we could make reservation and get quick and friendly service. Our waitress was Liza was very sweet and attentive. I drink my coffee black and hate most restaurant coffee, even Starbucks but I must say their coffee was very good and what was nice the cup was always kept full. We both had pancakes which we enjoyed. I got the multigrain with blueberries and candied walnuts. They were delicious and huge. My mom just got the plain buttermilk and she said they were very good. We will definitely return."

  • "Four of us went to Tryst Cafe before a concert at MIM (it is very close!) and we had a pleasant experience. We caught the last 30 minutes of Happy Hour and several appies and drinks were reduced in price. Service was friendly and quick, as Tryst was not very busy. We had breaded green beans and chicken skewers as appies and they were fresh, hot and delicious. Then we had entrees and they were also very good. This is a small 'storefront' style place, so don't expect a luxurious fine dining experience. When we first entered, it was nearly empty and didn't seem very appealing, but the service and food won us over - we would go again for a quick pre-concert meal!"

  • "Service was slow. We were all finished eating when the last person at our table fnally got their food."

  • "The beer battered green beans were worth the trip to Tryst Cafe. Delicious. The BBQ bacon was also very good and we topped off our meals with the turtle cheesecake. A very enjoyable dining experience. Wait staff was very attentive and helpful in making our selections. Looking forward to going back and trying some other menu items."

  • "This was a first visit for a group of five friends who appreciate well made food, particularly if it is also healthy. Service was friendly and prompt and the wait staff was patient while we took some time with our decisions. The food was great, beautifully plated. Portions are quite large. We have already made a date for a return luncheon here in a few months."

  • "Great location near MIM to catch a bite pre-concert. I choose the Salmon Florentine with Sweet Potato Hash after reading other recommendations online and my husband ordered the Steak Salad. I was not disappointed, ate every last bite and would definitely order again. My husband commented that the salad was good, but not great (due to the cinnamon sweet pecans that didn't pair well with the steak). The overall vibe and atmosphere were very pleasing. The only major disappointment was lack of service and mostly being ignored considering the restaurant was only about half full. An uncomfortably long time passed after we were seated (and we were thirsty!). We had the same issue during dinner and when trying to get our bill, felt abandoned."

  • "Tryst is different. Looking at the menu, you'll notice the difference -- fresh, healthy, organic-natural food. Nothing to be afraid of eating here -- it's all good for you. And, the flavors are wonderful whether you choose a breakfast/brunch menu item or something for lunch or dinner. The service is outstanding -- very attentive, friendly and accommodating. Definitely a restaurant gem you'll want to add to your "best of dining" list."

  • "My colleague recommended Tryst as having fantastic grilled fish tacos, so for our anniversary, my boyfriend and I decided to try it out. The restaurant is small in size and although there were about 4-5 other groups dining at the same time, it was not "busy" at all. Despite this, it took almost 20 minutes to get 2 drinks and well over an hour until our food was served (club sandwich and 2 fish tacos). Our waitress was great - very friendly and apologetic for the many delays, but waiting an hour and 15 minutes is excessive, especially when other parties ordered well after us, but still had their food came out at least 30 minutes before ours. Overall, great food, but I would hate to eat there during a "busy" time!"

  • "I was so happy to discover a restaurant close to home that uses organic, all-natural ingredients and also has many gluten-free options. The menu has so many delicious items to choose from, pretty much anything anyone could want. The service is excellent. They really aim to please. We tried it for the first time Friday night and went back Sunday night too. They serve food all day so we are looking forward to trying breakfast there soon as well. I would highly recommend this place."

  • "Love the selection of organic and gluten free items. I took my parents here for lunch and we all loved our food. My salad was delicious, and my dad, who doesn't care about organic gluten free options, thoroughly enjoyed his sandwich. The service was excellent...can't wait to come back!"
