The waiter took our picture. We appreciated the excellent service and special attention. The food was delicious and the weather was gorgeous providing a spectacular view. One waiter working the room. Service was still very good. Here comes the "but" ... Took a long time for the food to be served and the spices used on the rice and potatoes was a bit overwhelming. The staff was happy to accommodate items that were not on the menu. Overall a great experience in a fabulous location. The ocean front location provided a wonderful sunset view over the Pacific. The main dining room was quiet and the staff was attentive. The wedge salad was superb. Our daughter loved the chicken tenders and french fries her al time favorite. They sat us at window seat with a fantastic view of the coast. We meet the executive chef and the manager were very nice and wished us a happy anniversary. I can't say one wrong thing to the entire staff at Trump. Wonderful experience and food. From the time I made the reservation until the time to pay the check and leave. The restaurant was very accommodating to bring in the extra large round table with comfortable chairs to seat all ten of us as requested. The chef also obliged us with vegetarian options from the dinner menu even though we were there for lunch. The desserts were to die for and the coffee came out piping hot as desired.Will give it five stars. The ocean view was an added bonus. There is a full-blown sashimi bar with ahi, yellowtail, salmon, halibut, and albacore, plus hand rolls, cut rolls, and sushi. Also had poached salmon, jumbo boiled shrimp, and large crab claws. Our champagne glasses were kept full; the bubbly was a Spanish Cava. It was my husband's birthday and we were seated at a window table for two. The dessert bar was awesome too. My husband is not as much of a seafood eater as I am; he enjoyed the short ribs, prime rib, veggies, and breakfast items. Great bacon! The only downside is the price. I think it's worth it, but at almost $200 for two with tip, it isn't a brunch we'll be doing for anytime other than special occasions.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding dining with a viewThis was our second visit. We brought a couple of fickle friends to challenge their palates. They found all aspects of the dining experience to be exceptional, most of all, the great serving staff.
The calamari was hot and tender in delicate batter. The lamb was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The double think pork chops were juicy with a great smoky flavor. And the Chilean Sea Bass was delicate and flaky infused with multiple layers of complimentary flavors. Job well done!!
Scenic view of the ocean and live music at a VERY reasonable level is greatly appreciated. It adds to the overall ambiance.
This restaurant should be more popular and busy, but it is still a hideaway. So take advantage of it before the secret gets out!!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMNot the best lobsterNormally the food is very good here but on lobster night it was disappointing. The lobster was not flavorful and it was chewy, maybe overlooked. My husband got eggplant Parmesan and it was good but too cheesy. Our waitor was excellent and he did make us aware of the cheesy preparation of this dish. The flour less chocolate cake and martinis were excellent!3/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
