  • "Food was fine... A little meh but descent enough. Really, you go there for the nice view or a stroll along the bluffs by the sea. (Or you play a round of golf). We had a late lunch before heading to an afternoon event nearby. I saw a table near ours that was having afternoon tea. The English style afternoon tea set looked pretty good and it seemed like a nice way to have High Tea, looking out onto the golf course and ocean."

  • "I had the grilled salmon and butternut squash risotto....it was delicious! I usually order steak, I don't know what the heck made me order salmon. The view was so relaxing, and the service was great. My family had delicious looking meals on their plates as well. The rib eye, the NY steak, and the shrimp and scallops looked amazing. For dessert, try the apple pie a la mode. YUM!"

  • "My uncle and cousin flew in that day from NYC to visit my dad, it was great to see the brothers enjoying visiting with eachother. They are both elderly and hard of hearing so being in a quiet restaurant with comfy chairs was a plus. They could hear eachother. Our waiter was terrific! He was great explaining the menu to the brothers, as well as making my 8 year old son feel special."

  • "If you like a nice setting and if you are ok with just a pretty good brunch, than this might be the place for you. However, we feel if you are going to pay $75 for the brunch, we expect something exceptional and this was not. Granted, you may be paying for the ambience but we expect the food to be outstanding also. The food for the most part is pretty good but we have been other places that were much better for less money. We have also been to some places that were much better for more money. If you haven't been to many Sunday brunches to compare it to, you might be a reviewer that thinks that this is 5 star altogether but it really isn't. Will not go back for brunch. Might be ok for lunch or dinner but haven't tried it for those meals."

  • "We went here for a Valentine's Day Brunch on 2/16/14 and it was truly memorable. It is pricey-with tip for 2 people the cost was $195, an expensive brunch. That being said, the assortment of food is pretty amazing. They have 3 different kinds of lox and one is better than the next. The bouillabaisse with lobster tails was outstanding. I'm not a meat eater but several in our party were and they raved about the short ribs and other choice selections of beef. My boyfriend said the sushi was some of the best he's ever had. The dessert assortment is enough to send a diabetic into a comma.. The service was terrific and the view simply cannot be beat. We took a long walk on the beautiful grounds after brunch to walk if all off-nice bonus!"

  • "Really enjoyed the Valentines special, we were seated by the window unfortunately it was 7:15 and you really couldn't see anything out, but standing really close and sqinting I could see a beautiful view. A large party was in the center of the room and they were super loud but we didn't complain. We brought in our own wines as my husband has a wine locker paying the cork fee was fine they provided the ice bucket and served us for the evening, our waiter was excellant, service was a little slow due to it being a specail night and we didn't mind overall Loved it and I would go back... YUM"

  • "We had another excellent dinner at Trump. I had the special of the day, steak. My guest had the lamb. The lamb was especially tasty. The mango cheesecake for dessert was excellent. We were able to watch the sunset by coming at 5. It was also a nice touch that the chef came by to visit us at our table."

  • "My husband and I decided to dine here on Valentine's Day this year because it was our first Valentine's as husband and wife. We had 8PM reservations and weren't seated until about 8:35PM. Once seated a waiter approached our table. Apologized for our wait (if we had one) and when we said it took us 35 minutes to be seated with reservations, he openly said "they over booked today and we are short staffed". Needless to say, everything took very long to come. Our drinks, the food, and we got waited on more by the bus boy than our own waiter. It was suppose to be a nice 4-course meal and service was just a disaster.I will never go back and dine there again. The food was not that great either (warm, not hot) when it came.Very disappointing."

  • "I went to the restaurant on Valentine's thinking it would be a good location to have dinner... I was underwhelmed. The food that was served was mediocre wedding banquet food. The lobster bisque was too salty; the lobster was dry and mealy; the cheesecake was boring... I liked the caprese salad though. The fact that there was no menu to choose from at all was a big turn off for a special occasion."

  • "I took my husband to dinner here for Valentine's Day (we alternate years and it was my turn) The food was superb - heart shapes were drawn in the lobster bisque with creme fraiche and on the dessert with the raspberry coulee - very cute. Service was excellent - you couldn't have more than 2 sips of water before it was full again (same with the wine) and everyone seemed actually pleased to be working and be taking care of the diners."

  • "I wasn't expecting to pay 75 a person for Brunch but the Spread was definitely worth it for a special occasion. The food was undeniably wonderful and the wait staff was very nice. Brunch should be priced more towards 50 dollar level if you ask me but the presentation was great."

  • "Crab cakeS - 1 cake on l chickpeas(with lentils?), couldn' be all chickpeas unless they were chopped or smashed. Panchetta, (pork) with chickpeas topped by a crab cake is as appetizing as it sounds... Still superior to Entrees.. Prawn and Scallop, there was no "sugar can skewer" just a large pick holding them together. Sugar with seafood? Sauce WAS NOT a blood orange reduction - it was SWEET, very SWEET, I thought plum sauce, or sweet barbeque sauce. It was NASTY. One of us had lamb wellington bone IN lamb chop he felt it had been deep fried. Didn't eat the pastry. Said lamb wasn,t dry. Ho-hum desserts cake with small dollop of whipped cream & 1/2 a strawberry just like at Norms! Service - EXCELLENT Craig- excellent waiter."

  • "We went for a late breakfast. It's not an easy place to get to but it has spectacular views. This is a place you bring people when you want to show them California scenery. Our server was great, very personable. The eggs benedict come with the Canadian bacon on it but you also get a meat on the side as well so it is a big portion. The food was very tasty and you cannot beat the view"

  • "We chose to go here for Christmas. It was beautifully decorated, a full lunch menu (not a holiday menu), impressive wine list, and the food was very nice. I wished they had a larger selection of appetizers. For a holiday, I was impressed with the quality of the food and would like to try it again. My boyfriend had the crab cakes which was served over a sauce. I did try a bite of the crab cake itself, it was very moist. We split the pear salad which was light and refreshing and I had the salmon grilled which, I requested with no sauce. It was perfectly cooked.. For dessert, he had the apple pie and I had the creme brulee, which was delicious. Dining room is very romantic. Nice place to take family or guests."

  • "I have eaten at Trump National on many occasions and have always been pleased with the food and the service. Not the case on Christmas Eve. The restaurant was so overbooked that we found ourselves arguing for a proper table even though we had a reservation. The prime rib was inedible - undercooked and barely warm. The beans were undercooked. The plate presentation was simply put, a mess, with vegetables and potatoes piled on top of each other like a stew. We were not given a steak knife and were ignored when we asked for simple items that should have come with our meal. Our server, who is normally attentive and professional, was too busy to do his job properly. Even a simple thing like a glass of champagne resulted in the wrong order."

  • "We have been to Sunday brunch many times and feel it is one of the best. We decided to try lunch for our office Christmas lunch. Only eight people in our party. Unfortunately, the service was very poor. We ordered a couple bottles of wine and it took at least 15 minutes for our server to return with the wine, without asking about any appetizers. Well, this poor service continued throughout the lunch. Items ordered for lunch at the table were OK. Calamari and crab cake appetizers were real good though. I had the fish and chips and was not disappointed. our lunch took almost 3 hours due to the service."

  • "Over all the Trump is great food, ambiance , and service. I was very disappointed when I got a voice message to confirm my reservation, and was told that since I made the reservation online, the dining room was full, so we would be seated in the bar! I made the reservation 2 weeks ahead of time and had no problem getting my reservation at that time. The restaurant should disclose that you might be seated in the bar if you make your reservation online, if in fact, this is how they operate!!! My husband had to call the restaurant and insist that we be seated in the dining room. For the cost of the Sunday brunch, I was not happy to be told we would be in the bar area. We had a very nice Sunday Brunch in the dining room after all, The End"

  • "For birthdays, anniversaries out of town friends and special events we usually choose our local Trumps restraunt at the Golf Club.Make sure you specify either the main dinning room 1st floor or second for elegant dinning or the sports bar for a less formal atmosphere when you make needed reservations.   • "This is one of my favorite dining rooms ... Fabulous view, exquisite cuisine, attentive service... but... Unfortunately, this time I must give less than five stars because of unbelievably rude people at another table... Their ear piercing shouting & cackling was non-stop the entire time we were there... One of the ladies even had a big "potty-mouth"... I hold the management accountable because most, if not all, of the other patrons complained, and nothing was done about it... I asked my server if they were good customers, and he said that indeed they were... soooo... I suppose that's why the management let them get away with it... The bottom line is that it totally ruined our otherwise perfect dinner..."

  • "This restaurant consistently has wonderful food with fabulous taste and beautiful presentation. Their special Fall Menu on Mondays and Tuesdays is a spectacular bargain. They said this will continue through the end of the year. The ambiance is beautiful and quiet (I'm no fan of "high energy" dining!).
