It unfortunately was extremely salty on the outside, although cooked to the correct degree. For dessert we had carrot cake which was enough for at least 3 people to split. The star of the show was the carrot cake, which is a little disappointing given that seafood & steak are their specialties. I always say you can tell if you were wowed, if you would crave something you had & return. We loved the lively atmosphere (complete with piano bar). Everyone's dinner was delicious. The seafood was really fresh, and the steaks were cooked perfectly.. The service couldn't have been better. The manager stopped by our table a couple of times, and our server was attentive. Our group ordered mahi-mahi, miso glazed Chilean sea bass, cioppino and chilled mixed seafood (as an entree). The salads are big - excellent quality of greens and ingredients, with well balanced dressings-but one salad can serve two people. The wine list is comprehensive and offers a variety of price points. The sides are tasty and well prepared. Broccoli and Szechuan green beans were fabulous. Our server was excellent! She was knowledgeable about the menu, the preparations, and the wine list, and was very helpful. Service was fast and polite with great attention to detail. Truluck's is definitely fine dining. However this year we decided to go to celebrate my birthday and I'm so glad we did! Prices are very high ( our meals was over $110) but everything we had was delicious and I loved the atmosphere. It's just gorgeous in there and the piano player in the bar was enjoyable. Our servers were friendly and knowledgable about the menu options and they had a nice wine list. This is my second time dining at Trulucks, but my first in Naples, Fl. and I truly loved and enjoyed the meals, service, wine and decor.
The filet steak was out of this world along with the rice pilaf. The service was the best I've ever experienced. The whole staff of the establishment were so friendly, courteous and accommodating. I felt like I've known them for years. Thank you for a heartwarming experience. The staff was plentiful and attentive, though not overbearing. The portions were hearty and they accommodated our 8 year old with a kids' menu not present on the website or at the table. I truly acknowledge that the dining experience in the dining room could be described as more formal and high end, however, the experience in the bar dining area is much more accessible and accomodating to those who may wish to eat great food in a more casual environment.

For appetizers we had the rainbow tower--trout, tuna, and scallops layered with avocado and seaweed salad, and hot and crunchy shrimp--flavorful and generous portion. Main dishes were trout almondine--delicious and a large portion, and blackened grouper Ponchartrain--again, delicious and a generous amount. For dessert two of us split a fantastic carrot cake with caramel sauce and peppered walnuts poured over it; it was so large we had to take 1/3 of if home. Two of us had the Sea Bass with Crab Fried Rice, which was the hit of the evening. One had a side of the Crab Fried Rice and it was enough for the table and leftovers.
We always enjoy the Carrot Cake. I never order dessert at any other restaurant, but it's a must at Trulucks.
The service was great, with questions answered and courses timed perfectly.
