Our waiter was the absolute best as she knew just when to check on us without being a nuisance.
Our food was both delicious and hot from the kitchen. Mike, one of the managers, came by to greet us and welcome us back to the restaurant.

I prefer celebrating the day before due to the huge crowds, rushed service, and preplanned menus. This dining experience at Truluck's was wonderful! Service was great, a very nice table, and the food was very good too! Elizabeth our server, was both very nice and professional. The food was outstanding. From the bread, the soup, the entree and we even got a free Molten Cake that was dedicated to us for our 4th Anniversary. Just top notch service.
The service was phenomenal. Cobra Rob was a total delight with wonderful knowledge of the menus, great suggestions and very professional. Keep on top of things and check how we were doing on each course.

Some of the freshest and best tasting seafood, steak you can cut with a fork, and an extensive wine list to wash it all down. This trip was our first time not starting with the Stone Crab claws and instead elected to try the mussels appetizer. They were delicious and loved the crusty bread to dunk in the leftover sauce. Our previous 10 years we had gone to Ruth Chris Steakhouse. Off all the steak places around Ruth Chris is by far our favorite. So we stepped outside the box. My wife ordered the 16oz Ribeye medium. It had way to much marble (especially for $46) and it was medium rare. I had the blackened pontchatrain. It was ok. The manager came out and they did offer to replace the steak with a Fillet and crab legs which was nice. Our server (wish I couls remember his name) was excellent!!! So was the Manager. All in all the food was just okay, but the service was outstanding. I really loved the piano playing in the background. It added to the atmosphere, but it wasn't too loud for the dining experience. We were celebrating an anniversary dinner, and everyone was so nice and congratulatory. I had the crab cakes which were amazing. The crab mac and cheese was also fabulous. My husband ordered the 10oz filet, medium, but it was more on the rare side so he had to send it back. It was a bit crunchy on the ends when he got it back. Not what you'd prefer for a $47 steak. Since it was our anniversary, they surprised us with a chocolate lava cake with cherries jubilee fired up tableside. Real Outstanding. Alicia our waitress only showed a professionalism that I have rarely seen (Most of the time the waiter to please you ends annoying you or ignore you.). This was not the case of Alicia which he guided the evening in an exceptional way. But besides being surprised by Alicia all the staff at this restaurant is attentive.
The food: prepared and presented in the best way (we're from Peru and live to cook and eat) the food quality is guaranteed here. We had Canadian Halibut, yellow tail, Hot Crunchy Idaho Trout and Roasted Natural Chicken and all loved it.

I got a free desert for my birthday and it was great. All of their deserts are huge and look great! The Halibut was cooked perfectly and lying over a bed of asparagus. The Bernaise sauce was excellent but at $12.00 was very sparse. I was told that I could have asked for more and that the cost was for the crab and shrimp in the sauce. Personally I would have been happy for just the sauce. The Scottish Salmon was terrific and the Rice Pilaf was also delicious. The Jumbo Lump Crabcakes were anything but lumps of crab and very expensive for the quality. Somewhat overpriced for the specials. Prices not given for the 1.5# crab legs and Dungeness crab led to a $300 bill when we added in wine, 2 salads, desserts and coffee. That was a surprise. The crab was fine but not great (Costco has better),but everything else was great! We are definitely going back but will probably stick to the prepriced menu section. Memorable and fun night despite the final bill.
