  • "What a special place this is...for couples who want to be "romantic", for families, for those who want to enjoy a most vibrant bar scene replete with live music by a talented twosome every nite,,,, for those who relish fresh seafood (best trout, shellfish)...special crab fried rice, amazing lobster bisque with chunks of lobster meat. and a chocolate tower to end it all.   • "Ordered two appetizers, shrimp cocktail and oysters Rockefeller. Shrimp we a bit soggy and not firm. They oysters were so small that I true my didn't even notice them in the mixture. I had the grouper. The fish was of good portion however it was fairly tasteless. The crab cakes were pretty good as was the fillet. Service was very good as was the atmosphere. I think it was overpriced for the quality of food. Get a better meal for a better price at seawater or Houston's with the same quality of service. Won't be back at these prices."

  • "We made the mistake of going there on a Friday night @6:30 - and we were placed right next to the bar and the music - mistake. Next time we will ask for some place further away from the noise. By the time we left (approx 8 PM) the bar had pretty much cleared out and the noise level was non exist. However the food and service were excellent."

The food was excellent and I cannot say enough great things about the service provided, from the minute we walked into the door to our amazing waitress and even the folks who cleared the tables.   • "We made reservations, but did not specifically request a booth. When we arrived on a Tuesday evening and most of the restaurant was empty, we requested to sit in a booth. We were informed that they were all reserved. Every other table that arrived after us was seated in a booth. At no time were all of the booths full. The hostess who seated was not accommodating. There was a band in the bar that made talking difficult, especially in a table near the bar. We had a lovely meal, but would have had a better time if were seated where we requested. The manager never came around to check on how our meal was."

  • "The place is very nice and we were there off-season, so the bar area had available space at a hi-top table. The selection of appetizers is very nice, we had shrimp cocktail and then the calamari. The shrimp were fresh, but maybe slightly over cooked because they were slightly rubbery. Calamari were very good. We then went to a booth and had our dinner. The waited was very well versed in the fare. We ordered Chilean Sea Bass and the Tuna. The fish tasted great and the toppings were very good. We also ordered vegetable, which are ala carte, and enjoyed the string beans and asparagus. Drinks were done appropriately, happy hour prices for drinks are only applicable in the bar (I think)."

  • "Both finfish and shell fish were exceptional. Pricey but priced where you would expect given the quality and presentation Service is equal to the quality of the food. Table was constantly cleared, silver wear was replaced as needed. First class service. Alaskan King Crab, Stone Crab and dungeness were delicious. Expect to pay $100 per person, but it is definitely worth it"

  • "This restaurant has become our home away from home when we sant to treat ourselves to the freshest fish, the best appetizer salads (especially the hot house tomato salad topped with the crispiest bacon, slivered onions, freshly shaved parmagian, the buttermilk ranch dressing. If you haven't tried the "tower of chocolate" it is a delight to the senses (please share it with others, as it is enormous)...... The music coming from the bar side echoes through the restaurant, pleasing bar crowd as well as diners........ The staff (although we are "regulars") is always friendly, concerned and attentive to the needs of the table. We simply love being here, and go back as often as we can."

  • "The more we visit Trulucks, the more we always love it! Not only is the food served to perfection, bewing fresh, tasty, and seasoned to perfection, the staff is so well trained, friendly and caring that you have to feel special. Start with lobster bisque or the fabulous hot house tomato salad, garnished with bacon, onions and the most delicious buttermilk ranch dressing there is. Any of the fish entrees are special ,as are the steaks and shell fish. Try the crab fried rice if you want a special side dish, it is superb. Desserts have to be seen to be believed, especially the chocolate tower that 4 people could well enjoy. Boca's finest, in our opinion."

  • "While we have eaten at Trulucks many times, this one was the best. We were greeted at the door and taken to our table by the general manager, Bart. We then were fortunate to have Shannon as our server - she is outstanding. We were there with friends and one was celebrating her birthday. We all were surprised as Trulucks gave her a complimentary and delicious dessert. Each of us had different entrees and appetizers and we all loved them. We recommend Trulucks highly and look forward to returning."

  • "The food was great but it was interesting. There is a Date Night Menu but it was diifficult to get a copy of it. The salads are excellent but the server did not want us to share one and it is too large for me to eat on my own - he agreed but said they would probably not let us do it again - they have always let us do it. We commented on the large Alaskan King Crab Legs and Dungenous Crab they featured and the server pointed out how they were larger at another restaurant"

  • "Truluck's is part of a small chain of about 10 restaurants around the country that specialize in seafood. This was our second time there and we were as impressed as we were with our first visit. The food quality is excellent. The crab cakes at Turluck's could compete with any from Maryland (we're from that area). The salmon flatbread appetizer was outstanding--nicely sliced, fresh salmon with capers and dill on a flatbread. As noted, my wife had the crab cakes and I had Choppino. It's not an exact replica of the dish famous in San Francisco, but the dish here is very good. The wine list offers lots of terrific choices. This was our second time with the same server, Charles, who was delightful and attentive."

Booked late, same evening for a 21h15 available booking, we tried before and had no luck, we had drink by the bar, listening to some real good live "background" entertainment while watching a well oiled machine at work. Staff very professional with a personality, rare. We proceeded to the dining room which was full to the brim. 21h15 is late in Boca. Our waiter, a well traveled gent from Ohio, ( my apologies, I forgot your name...) provided excellent and welcomed advise regarding food and wine. The sea bass was incredible, just grilled, very nice, king crab AMAZING! We had a Riesling from Alsace with that??? Great! Thank you for a wonderful meal, we hope to be or regulars."

  • "The food at Trulux is excellent. The service was mediocre. This is a fine dining restaurant and I felt that for the price that the service would be much better. We dined on a Wednesday night and it should have been much better. It was busy but not crazy. Glasses ere not refilled without asking or having to wait. Plates were not cleared efficiently. I have received comparable service at lower priced neighborhood restaurants. I was disappointed. We were there to celebrate a special occasion and it just wasn't that special."

Tried the pork chop on the date night menu for the first time and I was quite impressed. Huge cut, succulent and tender. Starter salads are tasty and well sized. Half off bottles of wine on Wednesday nights are still offered, and while selection is now limited, there are many price points and impressive offerings. Still a great deal. BOBBY W. Is one of their best servers, ask for him. "

  • "My husband and I celebrated our 19th Wedding Anniversary at Truluck's! He had the Sea Bass and I had the Grouper. It was exquisite. The fish was not over seasoned and tasted quite fresh. The calamari as an appetizer was also amazing with the palm heart and mustard sauce. Our waitress was phenomenal. She was informative and assisted with our food selection! We can't wait to go back to the Happy Hour and try more of their appetizers. "
