Servers are knowledgeable about the food and are able to offer great suggestions. They know when to be there for you, and they know when not to be. The food was excellent, both in the bar area and at dinner. The lobster bisque was very creamy but was not overwhelming in aftertaste, as some bisques can be. The Scottish Salmon Bernaise was nicely cooked, with a crisp outer coating of the salmon giving a nice counterpoint to the rich creaminess of the bernaise sauce.

The second time the food was a little off, but that was a number of years ago. We decided to have our next date-night at Trucklucks this past Friday and we were so glad we did. Every bite of food was exploding with flavor, our server was on top of eveything, and we had a cozy little booth this time. We had been there about one hour when we realized the place was packed- but we were in our own little world and didn't notice the place filling up around us. It was just perfect! Service was very good for our group and our server, Robin, was knowledgeable, engaging and efficient. Most of our group had not been to Trulock's before and they were uniformly pleased with out drink service and menu selection. Seven of us had fish which was well prepared and well presented. Our son had a steak with crab and he said it was prepared medium rare, as he had ordered. We completed our meal with a good port, another first for most of our guests. We received an outstanding service from the lady greeting us in the front(i did not get her name). She was friendly, helpful and has an appropriate manner. We were seated at the booth, which is to our prefference.
Our waiter for the day was Michael. He was great. We do not eat beef, pork or chicken except for seafood and veges. He patiently explain to us and suggested few items on the menu, and tell us how they prepared the food. Even our little on who is normally cranky at later of the day, had a good time in the restaurant.
The manager pays a good attention to the customers too.

It is pricey if you order the specialties (South African Lobster Tail), but worth every penny. Perfect place for celebrating a special occasion. The night we were there, the spring weather was lovely and they had all the doors to the patio open which made the dining room extra pleasant. What more to say? The staff didn't miss a beat in commemorating it. We even got a signed card congratulating us. Expensive, but I promise it's worth every penny. My husband is more of a steak guy than he is seafood, and his steak did not disappoint. We had the Florida stone crabs to start and then I had the Dutch harbor crab legs for the entree. I went back when a special occasion came up, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and taken care of! The food is fresh and prepared perfectly, their timing was impeccable, and they came back just enough to make sure we didn't need anything. The energy inside is wonderful, and you could tell that other tables were having fun as well. Have done this for years. Noticed that the trend has been prices increasing every year - now at $69 - and at the same time the delivery of each subsequent set of claws seems to have slowed down. We very much enjoyed our experience. Waiter was good. It was crowded; however - - - it took us over 2.5 hours. My wife almost always tries one of the many off the menu offerings. Two shrimp the size of lobsters, in a special sauce and cheese grits. Their desserts are outstanding. Just a tip, plan on splitting the dessert, they are huge. Coffee from a French press was a wonderful finish. I couldn't even get them in Florida the week before. Reservation was right on time. Seating hostess, Matre Dei, and server were top notchprofessionals. The service was five star, and our waiter, Rixon, was very attentive. Received a phone call and voicemail the next day, checking whether we had an enjoyable evening. One of the managers was a bit over-exuberant and overly famliar; the other was refined and appropriate. And, sadly, our waitress' manner was more suitable for a diner than for a fine-dining experience. She approahed our table as a series of tasks to check off rather than as people present to enjoy fine-dining. She addressed both my wife and me respectively as 'Honey' at differnt points in the evening; a choice that was glaringluy out-of-bounds. The food was, as always, exceptional. I had the Miso glazed Sea Bass, which is amazing a new favorite. My husband had the Hot and Sweet Halibut, another new favorite. Both dishes are fresh and well prepared. The service we had from Dillon and ? ( I am so sorry I have forgotten his name) was spot on. The two never missed a beat. We you haven't been GO! It will be worth every penny. The food is always good and my family has really enjoyed being with one another there. Our waiter was a little needy this time, we kept having to reassure him he was doing a good job and he showed up a little bit too much disrupting conversation.
