It was more of a be seen place than a food place. I ordered one of the signature dishes and is was so overdone with pepper it was barely even palatable. If you want to be seen at the "it" place, but not necessarily care about wht your food tastes like, then this is the place for you.

The cocktails are fantastic. Best margarita I've ever had; they make their own mixes in house. No syrups/canned mixes. Food is delicious. Bit overpriced, but hey, it's Dallas.

This place is good for any size table. Nice selection but I would give an advice to the chef to make some pasta dishes with not so hot sausage. Also there are a lot of dishes that are not pork free. All in all I had a great experience and staff is great.

Great atmosphere if a little loud (children mainly during the early evening). Cocktail selection was good and all of the ones we tried were delicious. Food portions were large and good for sharing for a ladies group. They brought our birthday girl a complimentary dessert which was yummy.

After finding on open table, my husband and I decided to try TruFire. It did not disappoint. We ordered several items and shared--a lot of food was left. We took the remainder home and the kids enjoyed it as much as we did. Please note--it is an open restaurant. The noise level is a little higher than some places. It wasn't insanely loud, but a larger party needs to understand this. It would be difficult to talk down a long table. However, we were having fun, laughing and talking. I didn't feel the need to stifle my fun!

Have been to Southlake's TruFire multiple times, but this was our first time dining at TruFire in Frisco. The same excellent level of service was found at the Frisco location, as well as the consistently delicious food. This restaurant has it ALL -- a variety of excellent food to please all, terrific service, and a lively, fun atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We have eaten at TruFire many times, and always have a good experience with the service and food. We had a dinner reservation Friday evening, and were seated about five minutes after the reservation time...no big deal and we didn't even notice. When we ordered our meal, my wife's food was delivered and it was lukewarm, so she sent it back...again, not a big deal. At the conclusion of the meal, the manager came to our table and comped us a dessert to apologize for our inconveniences. We told her it wasn't necessary, but she insisted. I was really impressed by the fact that she noticed these two minor items. We've always enjoyed dining at TruFire, and this latest event made it that much better.

We've been to TruFire a few times. Each time, the food has been fabulous. This visit we enjoyed Spicy Garlic Noodles and Tubetti S&S. Although neither were low-fat options, I would order both again. The drinks were also a hit. For those wanting to take a break from wine, I would recommend the Blackberry Smash or Tru-Tonic.

I will not return to this restaurant. Food was overpriced and just plain bad. We ordered an appetizer, and 2 different entrees and not one thing was worth eating. The wine we ordered tasted like cough syrup. The tables were crammed together as close as they could be and you had to yell to be able to hear each other over the loud music. It was really dark. This is not a good date spot.

We may have just chosen the wrong day, but decided to go on Father's Day. The service was just average, the food was average, and there werent enough high chairs so we had to hold our 2 year old and eat. With so many choices, I would definitely choose another restaurant for an outing.

This was a first time visit, and will be the last visit. The location is nice, but the room very loud. It was hard to have a conversation at a small 4 top table. The service was okay - our water glasses were NEVER refilled or even checked. The food was so-so. There again, there are better quality locations for the style of food. Overall, the quality of food and experience was not truly positive. The only thing that was great was the company that I was with!

We had reservations for 2 for a Friday night. We got there a little early and while we were waiting to be seated we noticed the hostess and what i assume was the manager trying to make a 2 seat table fit next to the doors to patio and backed up against another table. We could see they were having trouble deciding to use the table because it was blocking the door. My wife mentioned i hoped they don't try and put us there....sure enough they did! We refused to sit there as we were literally blocking one of the doors to the patio! It was a typical restaurant trying to squeeze in another table. The hostess would not find us another table because they were all booked. So we left without eating! We've eaten there many times. Love the food!

We had a party of six. Food was fantastic, but the noise level was too high. The music was loud, which means everyone has to speak louder to compensate. Net - you couldn't speak to guests at the end of the table without feeling as if you were yelling. I love TruFire, but turn down the music. We don't go there to hear loud 80s music. We go for the food, wine and conversation.

The food was great as always. We were there on a Monday night. Not that busy but our service was horrible. Waited over 10 minutes after being seated for waitress to take our drink order. Then had another long wait for our drinks.....water, tea and 1 drink from the bar. Appetizer and salad took forever as well. Our waitress was not overly friendly. In the past, wait staff was awesome but tonight was not impressive.

We tried a few dishes and they were all just Ok. The crab dip, or I should say the "cheese dip", was overcooked had hardly any crab meat in it. The grilled Artichoke and cheese board were both just average. The flour-less chocolate cake was good. We sat outside which was nice. The service was good. Go there just for the drinks and the atmosphere.

1st time diner at TruFire. I was really impressed with the food and the service was spectacular, but there is something I would change about this place. Please, remove some tables! I'm guessing the owner is trying to maximize profit, by filling up every possible space with a table, but it really diminishes the experience. We were sat in a small area, next to a large party, and (even with everyone sitting in their chairs) our table was constantly bumped into and jostled around - to the point where my water spilled several times; not completely, mind you, but enough to require extra napkins. Even maneuvering around the restaurant was uncomfortable, as I felt like I was touching people as I walked by them.

Easter Sunday brunch. We booked for 12:45 but arrived a few minutes early and walked right in! Our waiter was awesome! Friendly and talkative, but not in an offputting way. My 2 picky boys ordered a burger and a TruFire pancake. They were excellent! My husband ordered the breakfast tacos and loved the "kick" while I had the Bourbon French Toast with salted caramel cream cheese which was amazing! It's rare that all 4 of us LOVE everything we ordered, so it was such a nice experience to have everyone happy and full at the end of our meal. My husband and I plan to return for a date night. The patio / fireplace looks inviting and there are MANY things on the menu and cocktail list that we can't wait to try.

It was our date night choice. Great service, our waiter Michael was awesome. He was ready to give some GREAT recommendations that probably made our experience even better. He also was always around at just the right time. The food was delcious. We had the Paddle board appetizer - YUM! The Spicy Garlic Noodles and Latin Fire pizza were amazing. Dessert was the Banana Split - which was the perfect way to end the meal. I tried their Blackberry mixed drink (name escapes me) but it was delcious. It was noisy, but we didn't mind. I could still hear my husband for conversation - it had a great crowd on Saturday night. We made a reservation so we walked in and our table was already ready. Overall very happy with our evening.

This was the first restaurant in the OpenTable network that truly disappointed us. It was crowded with tables too close together, extremely noisy, and very dark. The noise level rating above assumes that loud and energetic are the same. Definitely not. I marked "do not recall" so I could describe the noise here in the comments section. Food was only fair. Red wine was served at appropriate temperature -- that was the only thing done right. We were seated at a table for two behind and very close to a large family group with small children. We finished dinner quickly and went next door to a patisserie with lovely desserts and beautiful patio.

I went with a friend of mine to catch up and enjoy a good dinner. The good was decent, but nothing I'd say I HAVE to go back for. The crab dip was very cheese heavy, easy way to bulk it up without having to use much crab meat. Our dinner entrees were good, I had the napa chicken, again too much cheese in the orzo. The drinks were fantastic, however light.... All and all, it was ok but not one we are racing back to try again.
