A word from Troya - Fillmore
Troya, a Mediterranean restaurant.
See all photos >
Troya has solid food and a nice
vibrant ambiance. It is a bit on the pricey side if you order appetizers and drinks, but it is a good neighborhood place to go to once in awhile."

Troya offers an innovative menu
utilizing only the best Bay Area seasonal produce. The wait staff are friendly and are able to intelligently discuss the menu items and make spot on recommendations. Troya has been added to my top five favorite SF dining spots!"

Everything great -- but portions
are just too small. Raise prices 5%, increase portions 25% --> much better experience."
Dined on 8/5/2014
We've eaten here a number of
times, and always have loved the food, appreciated the service, and found that four of us can converse comfortably. The menu changes often enough to keep us returning to try new things. But we'd come back to feast on the same things also, since the food is so good."

Excellent options for vegetarians
and for those who enjoy lamb and fish: from mezes to large plates. The hummus, haydari, and muhammara with house made turkish bread (small rolls) is a generous portion. While the restaurant makes their own bread, you usually have to ask for more. Service is attentive but they can rush you with clearing tables. I highly recommend both locations: on Fillmore and Clement."

The operative word for the "small
plate veal meatballs" is expensive. 2 smallish meatballs and garnish for $14+tax+health insurance+tip? Yikes. Vege mousakka was very good but served sufficiently hot that it was boiling and required almost a 10 minute wait for it to cool sufficiently to eat. Service was spotty due to understaffing; those where there were working hard."
Dined on 7/30/2014
Very Good middle eastern food. I
am a vegetarian and from the warm olives to the excellent lentil soup to the vegetarian maza to the falafel platter to the pistachio baklava, everything really good. Very attentive and happy wait staff. Rather have thinner bread then the thicker Turkish bread but just get romaine lettuce leaves instead."

the most smiling kindest servers
in San Fran! Thank YOU so much for making my 1st time at Troya so memorable. Now let's address the food: WOW WOW WOW - those brussel sprouts are 5 stars! I'm coming baaaaaaack :)"
Dined on 7/24/2014
The food, the service, the
ambience, all 5 stars. I haven't been to Turkey but if Troya is half as good as the food in Turkey I can't wait to visit. Plus, the people that work there are very nice and always help my wife and I find a table without reservations."
Dined on 7/22/2014
The salads and food at Troya are
excellent. I had an important business lunch with a colleague fromLos Angeles at Troya on Monday. The food was terrific. Our waiter was not. Surely they can find more personable and interested wait staff. If I had known it qould be so unpleasant I would have taken my lunch meeting to Cafe des Amis or Spruce."
Dined on 7/21/2014
The quality at TROYA has gone
down. Less food, higher prices, unfriendly service Will not go back"
Dined on 7/21/2014
my wife and I were in SF on a
rather wet and misty weekday, found a parking place on Fillmore St (gasp) and headed to Troya for an early lunch. Excellent but spicy (which I like) dishes, and the lentil soup was outstanding. Also enjoyed a Czech beer, not seen everywhere. Will be going back here again."
Dined on 7/21/2014
We had a reservation right after
seeing a movie at the Kabuki, which is just a few blocks away. Their menu is eclectic and has seasonal variations. If you're not famished, you can order their small plates. We had lentil soup, roasted Brussel sprouts, a cheese dish, and grilled anchovies. All yummy. They offer sparking water; a nice touch. And the management is very friendly."

When you want a nicer alternative
to La Med, Troya is it. More innovative, nicer interior design, more space to breathe. Service is great and the food was delicious. We tried things we've never encountered before and was really impressed."
Dined on 7/10/2014
This was our first visit to Troya.
The food was flavorful and sized nicely, not too big and not too small. Each plate stood on its own with different flavors and different presentation. We will definitely come again."
Dined on 7/4/2014
The food is truly delicious and
inventive! My husband and I love Troya!!"

I went here with a groupon not
knowing anything about the restaurant and was very happy. I love Fillmore St and we got a window table so it started off in the right way. The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating from the start. The food was excellent. We had the calamari ( not the typical fried style which I love but sautéed and presented in a wonderful sauce that I could have eaten alone). We also had what they called pickles but were pickled veggies- very refreshing and tasty. We each had the lamb kabobs and shared a side of rice. The kabobs were on a bed of creamed lentils and seasoned perfectly. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was because the lamb wasn't tender and a bit tough but delicious none the less."
Dined on 6/25/2014
Food was excellent: the watermelon
salad was so refreshing, the calamari grilled and deliciously spicy (and tender, not chewy), dessert was awesome. I might've paired the figs with greek yogurt instead of whipped cream but--like all the rest--was a great combo of flavors and textures (with pistachios, honey and a little whipped cream). The server Jeremy was fabulous. Great experience."

wonderful food and service...the
chairs are hard to sit on and could use cushions....great pleace."
Dined on 6/24/2014
Friendly relaxed staff made great
reccos. Little overpriced but food tasted great. Feta Cigars were fab! Good for small groups and eating family style. Chill atmosphere in a great location on Filmore."
Dined on 6/19/2014
I frequent Troya often as it is in
my neighborhood. I had a business lunch there and our server couldn't have been more dour if I had asked him to keep a very sour lemon in his mouth for hours on end. He was so unpleasant that he affected our entire experience. I could cite 6 examples but why bother. We didn't order appetizers or dessert as we couldn't wait to leave. It is a shame as the food is certainly good enough and the ambience is fine for an easy business lunch."

I've been going to Troya Clement
for over 15 years and always enjoyed it. I would rate that a Neighborhood Gem. Now that I live 2 blocks from the Fillmore location, took a friend there for a night of good food and conversation. We sat at the bar -- quieter than if we'd been at a table. Had a yummy meal. Once out on the street, in the relative quiet, we were shocked that we were both hoarse and could barely talk above a whisper. Open Table's noisiest category is "Energetic". They need something stronger. Much as I liked everything, I don't know if I would choose to go back. Too unpleasant to scream and have to say "What was that?" despite enjoying good food."

We went to Troya on a Mindsy
night. The food was wonderful and the corkage fee is in,y $15 so we brought a bottle of wine. The downside was the service. It wasn't busy at all, but the server was hard to find when we asked for more bread for dips and never refilled the water. It kind if took away from the whole experience. Still, we would go back as the food was great."

We were absolutely bowled over by
this Meditterean place with a bit of a lTurkish accent. The waiter was great and so was the food.. Highly recommend it."
Dined on 6/15/2014
The menu online is completely
different than the actual I"
Dined on 6/9/2014
I love Troya on Fillmore. The food
is delicious and healthy and the service warm and friendly. Everything from the grilled calamari to the roasted cauliflower to the kebabs to the flatbreads and desserts are wonderful! It is a true neighborhood gem!!"

Yummy food! This is a great place
for a random date-night. Nice location and nice venue. "
Dined on 5/22/2014
Troya is one of my favorite
restaurants on Fillmore. It is warm welcoming comfortable. The food is always GREAT!!! I have had many dishes and all were notable. The traditional dishes are the best in San Francisco. And the Baklava is not to be missed."
Dined on 5/20/2014
Troya was great. Just what you'd
like to find in a modern Mediterranean restaurant. We made a substantial meal tasting several innovative small plates. All were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Don't skip the desserts. Pot au creme was rich and intensely chocolate. Hip atmosphere with warm, friendly service. Will definitely go back."
Dined on 5/13/2014
This is becoming a truly special
spot - the service is friendly and precise and the food is out of this world. Our Saturday evening dining companion, who has spent a lot of time exploring the tastes of Turkey and other Mediterranean cuisines, was blown away by Troya's authenticity and powerful, yet delicate flavors. Fun!"
Dined on 5/10/2014
i didn't know what to expect going
into this place, but the food is very good and very reasonably priced. roasted brussels sprouts are the best i've ever had. And vegetarian moussaka was also divine. i'd definitely go back!"
Dined on 5/10/2014
Delicious food and offerings are
varied so you can make a nice combination of plates and feel like you've had a complete meal. Wait staff is friendly and accommodating, food is imaginative, ambiance is pleasant--nice lighting and table arrangements."
Dined on 5/6/2014
My wife & I are vegetarian & while
there was only 1 vegetarian entree, there were a lot of vegetarian mezes (appetizers) - the brussels sprouts with aioli in particular are to die for."
Dined on 5/4/2014
What a great evening at Troya on
Fillmore. Our server was excellent and knew the dishes well and took time with us appropriately. The cheese cigars, lamb meatballs and brussel sprouts were really the faves. One of those with me doens't eat brussel sprouts but unknowingly ate some and wanted more...until I told her what they were!! In any case, this is such a step up from other places of Mediterranean style that might be considered comparable. So much more for the price overall...very pleased with my first experience here. "
Dined on 5/3/2014
From the DELICIOUS service to the
attentive staff and chic, romantic ambiance it was an absolutely perfect evening. Everything we tried on the menu was delicious! Will definitely be back"
Dined on 5/2/2014
Troya on Fillmore is a delightful
restaurant--friendly, welcoming with a menu that provides a nice range of Turkish offerings. The food is fresh, appealingly presented and well priced. The service is friendly and attentive. Specials add a good variety to the menu."

Had dinner here this past Sunday.
While it was good, nothing about the food was good enough to make me want to return. The lamb kebab was a bit tough. The wait staff was very nice and liked the atmosphere very nice. I love Mediterranean food and am always hoping to find 'the spot' I just moved from Palo alto and am missing Anatolian Kitchen. Their food is fresh, clean flavors with just the right amount of seasoning. "

Incredible food - I so much miss
the food from Turkey and this is my first find where I can say the food truly represents Turkey - with just a bit of a "fancier" spin to it. The Feta Cigars hit the spot - almost reminded me of a spin on Burek which I so loved to eat in Turkey (although I am not a sweet person, rather savory, so I asked for a "tomato" type dip instead of the honey - perfect). The Manti was identical to what you get in Turkey. The Grilled Calamari was amazing - but a bit spicy so beware!"

I moved here from New York and one
of my favorite go to restaurants there was Turkish, so it was really great to find a substitute here. The quality of their ingredients is amazing as is the creativity of their spices, this is definitely amongst my top 5 favorite restaurants in SF!"
Dined on 3/27/2014
The staff was very friendly and
helpful re: appetizer suggestions, etc. The food was excellent!"
