I lived in Turkey for more than two years and this is the closest food that I have found to the "real thing." I will definitely be back! Their Efes beer was ice cold and all of the food was excellent.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMI've been the the restaurantI've been the the restaurant on Clement many times but this was my first visit to the one on Fillmore. The menu is much smaller but the food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the fact that I could have a conversation without shouting. I will definitely return.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWe ordered a sampling of mezeWe ordered a sampling of meze dishes and really enjoyed them all. The cauliflower was especially good - I'm going to have to try and recreate that at home since I don't live in San Francisco and can't pop into Troya whenever I get a craving...4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a great place, food forWhat a great place, food for lunch. Very well seasoned, very innovative. Loved it!4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for LambThe food at Troya is much better than your average Middle Eastern restaurant. I'm not really a lamb kabob fan, but Troya's version is juicy and succulent. I also tried the Adana Lamb (ground) Kabob which was perfectly juicy and pleasantly spicy. I will definitely go back.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMOverpriced but tasty. This place is overpriced, but the food is good. The roasted cauliflower mezzo was relish, as were our chicken wraps (we could have split one, they are big!). good value, quality. would eat here over Jane, Delfina, et al.3/6/2013 12:00:00 AMTasty Turkish on FillmoreOur favorite waiter took care of the four of us and he is super! Casual ambiance with bare wood tables and a bar and popular with a wide range of ages. The meze/appetizer section is the longest and the choices include vegetarian options (zucchini fritters, e.g.)as well as little meatballs. We enjoyed the dips and then for main courses, most of us had the kebabs, two chicken and one veggie, which are tasty and a generous portion. Their beef dumpling dish is a classic and very good too. Definitely on our regular dine-out list.1/11/2013 12:00:00 AMI have been going to the originalI have been going to the original Troya restaurant on Clement St for years, and have always loved it. I was anxious to try the new location, and I was thrilled to discover it was just as good as the original! We were able to try new dishes - such as the beef & lamb meatballs, roasted cauliflower, calamari, and braised chicken - while still getting some of our old favorites. Everything was cooked perfectly and the restaurant exudes the same warmth as the original. Great experience!1/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
