It would have been a great place to view the sunset; however, the clouds did not co-operate. We opted for the Fixed Prix three course meal, a pupu, entree and dessert. The menu indicated it was available 5-6 and 8-9, I saw some tables ordering it as late as 6:30. Check when you make a reservation. We enjoyed all the courses, especially the dessert. We could have pared our dinner with two wines, but we opted to order a bottle. The wait staff was attentive, helpful and extremely nice. I would suggest getting there early and having a few pops at the bar especially if you are a sports fan. The coctails and the service are great also. The food was outstanding, inventive salads, delicious lobster chowder, and a mahi mahi dish with a sauce that could easily have gone wrong but was simply lovely. All the flavors blended perfectly. Service was friendly and attentive with one gap-waiting to get the bill then a long wait to pay the bill. This is such a common problem when dining out, not sure why. We had a 20% discount coupon from the Westin Villas to dine at Tropica but would have gladly paid full price. Given this is a hotel restaurant, we have passed Tropica by.
