  • "Romantic candle lit French cuisine. I recommend strongly to any couple looking for something very special."

  • "It made for a very special evening--delicious food, a beautiful space, attentive and gracious service."

  • "I wasn't sure what to expect from the restaurant's website, but what I encountered was a quiet, well-appointed restaurant with a great cocktail menu, delicious food and quiet, efficient service. I had the special appetizer of mushroom quiche, then the Caribbean lobster tail entree with a pumpkin stew as the side. Chocolate mousse for dessert, and a delicious port. Very reasonably priced, and great food in the heart of old San Juan."

  • "Trois Cent Onze was tremendous--the ambiance is perfect and lovely, the service impeccable and very good-natured, and the food superb. The only qualifier on the food was that chef seemed enamored of one or two herbs across the menu. However, the duck and pork were perfectly prepared, and the lima bean cassoulet as a side was unbelievable--one we will attempt to recreate at home. A perfect evening. Thanks to servers Juan Carlos and Eric for the welcome."

  • "My wife and I have a vacation home in PR and this is one of our local favorites. Excellent food and excellent service. Our last trip was for a party of 13 family and friends who were leaving for a cruise the following night. The experience was outstanding all around. The menu has several great items. I'm partial to the lamb chops and chicken breast wrapped in bacon. This last time I had the bouillabiase and it was outstanding."

  • "On our 4 night culinary tour of Puerto Rico in July 2014 we chose this restaurant for our last choice based on great online reviews. What a mistake that was (we turned down Santaella, Marmalade and 1919). The restaurant had no vibe or atmosphere, ugly decor and an old fashioned, in exciting menu. At 7:30pm on a Wednesday night, the place was dead and had barely picked up at all when we left 2 hours later. Our margarita arrived with a sugar-rim, so that was the end of our cocktail ordering for the evening. We ordered foie gras appetizer for $23 and couldn't believe it when it came out cold and undercooked. That's the first time that we've ever been served undercooked foie gras. The ravioli was under seasoned and so bland."

  • "Trois Cent Onze was a nice surprise in Old San Juan. Great French cuisine with a Caribbean twist in an awesome 18th century setting! "

  • "I was seeking and indeed found delightful, unpretentious, authentic French fare in the heart of Old San Juan! The decor was France meets the Island, but with a decidedly French sensibility. The owner was attentive and appropriately engaging. Service was competent and professional. The food was simply outstanding. From the pear salad to the terrine to the escargot, everything was excellent. The by-the-glass wine list was small, but well-priced and with enough choices to pair with the cuisine."

Altamente recomendado!!"

  • "We have been here every time we visit Puerto Rico. The food is excellent and the staff very knowledgeable about how it is prepared. Wine list matches the entries very well and the prices are reasonable. Each dish is individually prepared so you need to be prepared to sit back and relax while the meal is in process but that is the usual French way. Really like the place."

  • "Really a very good restaurant with classically beautiful and tasty food. There is genius at work in the kitchen."

  • "We were pleasantly surprised to find a high quality French restaurant in San Juan - easy to find - great décor and wonderful food. A real treat in a tourist area."

  • "We ate here on the occasion of my 65th birthday. It could not have been a better choice! The restaurant is not heavily signed, and one could easily walk by it. That would be a pity. This restaurant reminds me of Paris, the food and service were top-notch and the ambiance wonderful. I ordered the sea bass which was terrific with a marvelous truffle sauce and accompanying chicken truffle sausage. The side of pumpkin salpicon was a treat and the best I have ever had, seasoned with bacon and chives. My wife enjoyed the grouper filet with mushrooms and a side of delicious asparagus."

  • "Our group of ten foodies had a wonderful meal. The food was excellent, the server was very friendly and helpful. She was quick to tend to our needs but did not hurry us. We all agreed that we would go there again on our next trip there."

  • "Excellent French food. We live in Paris and don't often eat in French restaruants outside of France. This was an excellent find for Viejo San Juan"

  • "Fabulous food and superb service. Our fist time there and we will be going back for sure."

  • "The service was friendly, knowledgeable and impeccable up to the finest detail. The waiter gave a very good description of each item on the menu and provided invaluable recommendations. Both quiche Lorraine and the escargot were great, and the same applies to the main courses, i.e. lamb medallions and asparagus risotto. I am a vegetarian, and it's hard to expect much form a risotto, but that one left us with eyes wide open, I've never eaten anything that good... As far as the portions are not big, we could also order a pair of great desserts and enjoy every moment of the dinner. The restaurant is roomy, with high ceilings and nice, quiet atmosphere. A highly recommended gem of French cuisine in the heart of Old San Juan!"

  • "We've chosen this restaurant based on OpenTable reviews, and completely enjoyed it. This is a true French spot in the heart of Old San Juan. It has all the traditional items for French restaurants abroad, like onion soup, escargot, and others one might expect. Portion sizes are small, which is good if you want to get as far as the dessert (highly recommended), and the presentation is sublime. My wife's apples/goat cheese salad looked like a real work of art! Cod fillet that I've got was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was tasty, gentle and somewhat "understated", not attracting too much attention, just as it should be at a good place. The desserts, especially the mousse cake, were simply out of this world, and the service was perfect."

  • "San Juan is a food lovers dream. They even have a great French restaurant in the old city, called 311. We were served small metal bowls of a delicate asparagus cream soup with toasted crouton and tarragon sprig. Savory and delicious. For the first course, a mesclun salad with thinly sliced pear, Fourme d’Ambert bleu cheese, and hazelnut crumble and balsamic vinegar. Main courses were huge juicy lamb rack with blackberry sauce. Pumpkin salpicon in cream sauce and shallots. Pork tenderloin rolled and stuffed with duxelle of mushrooms and goat cheese. Sauteed potatoes with bacon and onions. All scrumptious. Very professional, warm service."

  • "We enjoyed this spot, which is reserved in its signage, and a pleasant surprise to enter. The ceilings are very high, with a beautiful chandelier spotlighted above. The menu is classic with a modern twist and we enjoyed and appreciated the charming staff. We had our five year old with us, and the servers were wonderful him accommodating him, and being quite patient! The food was delicious, and we enjoyed our experience. I would definitely recommend!"

  • "I was disappointed by my most recent experience at this restaurant, which I had not visited for many years. The wine by the glass that I ordered was very good. Bread was nothing special, not crusty or crunchy but soft and muggy, served with butter that was too cold and therefore too hard. My appetizer was more like half a portion of a not very good terrine, with a lot of salad, more salad than terrine, which is not what I wanted or thought that I ordered. The filet mignon was very good, cooked exactly as I ordered it, but served with a rather poor rice with mushrooms. Generally very disappointing, particularly because years ago I have had much better meals at this restaurant."

  • "A simply outstanding experience. As a 3-year resident of San Juan, I've tried all of the nice restaurants, and this is my new favorite. Everything was exactly how I wished it would be. Highly recommended."
