Triumph GrillGreat dinner with family & friendsPerfect spot for dinner with my parents and my two friends from college. The calamari appetizer was extremely good. (Too often calamari is rubbery--this place's was not!) Menu had something for everyone: fish, steak, pasta, burgers and salads. Definitely get the cheesecake for dessert! Service was well-timed, and they brought all of our food out at once, which I think is classy. Overall a positive experience, and I plan on going back!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMNice relaxed feel. Great placeNice relaxed feel. Great place for before or after a St. Louis U. B-ball game. Nice menu with good selection. Have always gotten great service.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding!!We had a large party of 13 before the Symphony. Outstanding food and service!
We highly recommend the Triumph Grill for any occasion.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMA great experience as usual.A great experience as usual. Always enjoyable, excellent food at a good price. Thanks.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat city diningRight in the middle of St. Louis near slu this place takes number 1.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBIG surprise!Pleasantly surprised! Food was nicely displayed. No empty items, all well filled and delicious. I would definitely go back!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchFirst time visit to Triumph was for Mother's Day. Food buffet was well laid out and there was plenty of variety. It was a tiny challenge toast my own bread (hard to do, either you are holding up the line or squeezing in between to retrieve) but worth the wait. Initial greeting from hostess was not very warm but server was great as were all that worked to keep buffet stocked. I will definitely go back to try the regular menu.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day FindWe were thinking about coming to this resturant for a couple of weeks and decided to come on Mother's day. We were pleasantly surprised that we were seated quickly the food was hot and well stocked. The usual Mother's day crowds were well managed. I will visit again.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch was Excellent!Went to Triumph for Mother's Day brunch. The food was excellent. Had a very nice variety.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMRisotto?Overall, all four of us enjoyed Triumph Grill. My only criticism is that the shrimp and crab risotto I had, although good, with plenty of shrimp, had what appeared to be normal rice instead of risotto. There was none of the creaminess associated with risotto.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMMid-town gemHighly recommend. Triumph Grill has a very convenient location to mid-town St. Louis, Grande Centre neighborhood and St. Louis University. Reasonably priced menu, nice craft beer selection and good food. Attire is whatever you're wearing to where ever you're going after. Not crazy loud but during peak dinner hours, the weak accoustics makes the noise level a wee bit energetic. Don't let the accoustic issue prevent you from exjoying the Triumph experience. Very popular place to meet friends and eat before or after attending the Fabulous Fox Theatre. Recommend reservations.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDa BombMy second time at the Triumph Grill and again enjoyed our night. The service was excellent, our server was very friendly and personable. And the food was Very Good! Will definitely be back.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMNice evening with the parents! My husband and I recently went to Triumph Grill with both sets of our parents, and we had a great meal before attending "Million Dollar Quartet" at the nearby Fox Theater. The service and food were both great, and we'd definitely recommend Triumph Grill to friends/family. After we ate, we even took a tour around the museum full of antique motorcycles from all over the world, and while none of us are particularly into motorcycles, we enjoyed looking at all of them. :-)5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFun placeWe ate here before an show at the FOX. I had the caribbean crab soup and it was wonderful. My husband had the turkey burger and said it was very good. The service was slow. We finally said something to the waitress that we were on a limited time and she said she would take care of it. We had made our reservation for 1 and 1/2 hours before the Fox show thinking it would leave us plenty of time but we barely go to the Fox by 8:00.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGot us in and out for showGot us in and out for show at Sheldon accommodated stragglers on our group. All five us thought the food was great!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently good food andConsistently good food and service. You can always count on a great experience at Triumph Grill. But you most certainly want to make reservations on performance nights for the Fox or Powell!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went before the Fox. ItWe went before the Fox. It took a long time for a server to get our order. Apparently, she had a big group to wait on. I sat there at least 10 minutes before getting a water. My son had to flag down the hostess to ask her to get our server.
Food was delicious - lots of flavor and good selection. Wasn't snooty. We may return, not sure before event though. Had planned to go to South Grand but rain...Made a 6:30 reservation. My son and his friend got there 6:15, got a table, got water. They sat there with their menus for 25 minutes, as I arrived at 6:30 and waited 10 minutes for the waitress to come over. They were very hungry. My son is undergoing chemo and can't drink, so we didn't either - maybe we weren't their favored customers.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was great exceptEverything was great except for being seated near the bar, which was very loud, and hard to hear at our own table. Our server was friendly and fast, and the food was delicious!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMTriumph was a great placeTriumph was a great place to go before the symphony. We received prompt service and had time to spare. The staff accommodated my special requests and my food was prepared just as I asked. Our server was helpful in explaining some things on the menu and he was friendly and attentive.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe came with friends withWe came with friends with special dietary requests and they said the preparation was perfect. They are very hard to please. So congratulations. You did it.
We thought our food was great also.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had the following for dinner:We had the following for dinner: steak salad (very good), mushroom fettucini (excellent), halibut entree (good though the fish was bland and probably was frozen). Our server was friendly but not very attentive, which was perplexing because the restaurant was not particularly busy that evening. Nonetheless, I've never had a bad meal at the Triumph Grill and it's a great place before an event on Grand Ave. We will return!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTriumph is a nice restaurantTriumph is a nice restaurant for any occassion but the Easter brunch was especially delightful. The variety of food combined with the excellent service made for a relaxing family meal. The buffet items were fresh and the variety was extensive. Triumph's dessert room was a highlight.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMInteresting menu. Have hadInteresting menu. Have had good meals every time we have been there.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAs subscribers to the FoxAs subscribers to the Fox Theatre we dine at the Triumph Grill often. The location is just a short walk to the Fox, service is fast, and there is something for everyone available on the menu. If you are a motorcycle fan there is plenty to enjoy at no extra charge!3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch was outstanding asBrunch was outstanding as well as reasonably priced. Great idea doing the egg orders individually instead of leaving egg dishes out on the buffet to congeal or get cold. The manager made a special effort to meet a request - i.e. he found a piece of cheese cake that was no longer available on the buffet and brought to our table.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMSituated next to the MotoSituated next to the Moto (motorcycle) Museum, near St. Louis University and Grand Center, this understated, modern restaurant sparkles with clean design paying homage to the history of motorcycles and industrial design. Sunday brunch was an easy walk from the Sheldon. An interesting drink menu but the Mexican Bloody Mary was definitely caliente (I could not finish the pungent drink) and the Bellini was so-so. However, the brunch began by ordering either a custom omelet of eggs Benedict (including one with crab!) from the wait staff on a paper order sheet; both were excellent. Arrayed on the bar was the brunch of salads, pastas, grilled potatoes, fresh bread pudding from the oven, salmon with the fixings, and decadent desserts. Well pleased3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, very accommodatingGreat food, very accommodating wait staff. DEFINTELY will be back!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
