Diner Reviews
  • "My wife and I ate at this dining establishment not knowing what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised by the overall eating experience. The experience was perfect from the hostess to the check. Our food server was named Andrew, and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the daily specials, the menu. I had the oysters, and the fish and chips, and my wife had the chicken pot pie. The oysters on the half shell were fresh and delicious. No complaints here, it was high quality dining, with great service with a smile!"

  • "Great dining. Food was good but fish dish my husband had didn't have enough variety. Key lime pie to die for!"

  • "Great place for a business lunch or dinner. Great place to take friends before a concert or performance at the Smith Center. Steaks are always great. Never have had a bad meal at Triple George - like it seems you do from time to time at other restaurants. Always enjoy the experience and atmosphere... Always recommend..."

  • "We went to the Triple George to celebrate our 7th anniversary. We were blown away by the dangerously good blackberry martinis and the pristine, fresh oysters on the half shell that we enjoyed as an appetizer (best we've ever had) The filet tips special (over garlic mashed potatoes) was fantastic comfort food and a huge portion; one plate could have easily fed both of us (we enjoyed the leftovers the next day!). We were also presented with ice cream with fresh strawberries and whipped cream in honor of our anniversary which was the perfect end to an outstanding meal. Our server was spot on, very personable, and had a comprehensive understanding of the food. We're still talking about how good the food was and can't wait to go back again!"

  • "We have never been disappointed when dining at Triple George. Whether it be drinks and appetizers at the bar or full service dining room, the service and food are always outstanding. Triple George is truly one of downtown Las Vegas's gems. I will and always do highly recommend it to anyone staying downtown."

  • "As always, good to great food, well presented. Friendly service."

  • "I have been here many times. Food was very good, as always. However, I was disappointed in the service. Usually its pretty good - not great. But this time I had to go through the bus person to get the waiter to get the check - even though I had told him we were going to a show at Smith Center and he assured me he would get served and out in a timely way. When he came to the time we had discussed - he was behind the bar - not busy."

  • "I really enjoyed my selection of the salmon Caesar salad. The fish was a perfect portion (4 oz) and very well cooked. My dining companion, however, was lured in by the "special" of the evening and was completely overwhelmed by both the HUGE portions of food and the really high cost for it. A "special" should indicate a smaller price than most menu items...not double the cost."

  • "We have are here a few times. The service was subpar and the time it took for food was way too long. Our editor was completely disconnected from everything. We will return because of previous great experiences. I hope this is just a one off."

  • "The food was very good and we didn't feel like we overpaid however the drinks were a little expensive."

  • "4th time at The Triple George and each time the food, martinis, and service is beyond FANTASTIC!"

  • "All four of us were extremely disappointed! The food was OK but the service was AWFUL. Waiter seemed put out that we didn't want a big huge meal and only something light........table service was so bad I called the staff on it and it continued. Not a place I'd put high on my list especially when there are so many other restaurants downtown."

  • "I've thoroughly enjoyed my meals and the experience. My one disappointment was a dirty fork which was quickly replaced."

  • "We have celebrated many significant occasions at Triple George and have always LOVED the food. When we made the reservation on Open Table there is a box for special considerations. We asked for a table in the back (we dined early @ 6 p.m.) due to an elderly guest who is hearing challenged. When we arrived we could not be seated due to an employee greeting family members. Hostess explains we need to wait until they are done. Fine. Except the table they were blocking which was meant to be ours was the table to the left as you come in the door! Where all the noise and traffic take place. I mentioned to the hostess about our request. This was on June 28th at 6 p.m. for reference. She was RUDE! RUDE! RUDE."

  • "Triple George Grill was a great place for a very good pre-show dinner. Our steaks were perfectly prepared and served with "Chef's Accompaniments" which meant we did not need to order sides. It was a little noisy so the waiter had to repeat a few things back for clarification and even then the martini came "up" rather than "on the rocks" but this error was quickly remedied. Over all a very nice, energetic place."

  • "I had previously been at the Grill as a guest of my friend. I found it a pleasant experience: service great, food excellent, and a great atmosphere. Based on this, I decided to treat my daughter and friend here prior to attending an event at the Smith Center. Everyone had a great experience."

  • "Overall, the experience was pretty good: The staff was very attentive, and the food was flavorful. I also liked that the building had a converted feel to it, seemingly created from an old pub. The cut of steak we ordered was great. Even though the flavor of the rub wasn't quite what we were thinking, it was still a noticeably great cut. The swordfish filet we ordered was a little dried out but the dish was well balanced with a sauce and good flavor. My biggest complaint is the price. There are several other restaurants in the city where, for the same cost, you receive higher quality meals. Certainly for its neighborhood the Triple George is a great establishment. There are simply better places within a short drive for similar prices."

  • "We arrived 15 minutes before closing, late from a show. Though late the food and service was excellent. The waiter gave us the same great service we have always had. Well done!!!"

  • "Triple George is a wonderful place to go, especially for locals. We come often as once is not enough."

  • "Our experience at Triple George was good, not great. I had read the great reviews before we left for Las Vegas, and booked a reservation. I had read about how great the Chicken Christopher was, so I ordered it. It was pretty good, but not nearly as special as I had read about. The service was decent, but our waiter was very business-like and did not really spend much time at our table. I probably would not go back on a return trip to Vegas because there are so many other places to try. Good food but not really that memorable."

  • "Happened upon a great dining experience. Everything was great - from the food, to the service, to the ambience. I wouldn't change a thing!"

  • "Love this restaurant but always find the waiters to be a little snobby. Friendliness can go a long way."

  • "We are usually happy with our food and service here. When asked to leave the mussels out of the cioppino, the chef was not accommodating. Waiter acted like he didn't want to ask the chef. Came with mussels."

  • "Friends recommended we eat here before we went to see The Book of Mormon at The Smith Center. Easy free valet at The Downtown Grand across the street. Our server Becky was the best! Knew everything about the menu, and was really friendly. We had steamers for appetizer, they were the best we've ever tasted, and at least a dozen. My husband had the Filet Mignon $32 Amazing! I had the crab stuffed shrimp...Delicious!!"

  • "Chose this restaurant because it is listed as a recommendation when attending an event at the Smith Center. When we gave our order we told the waiter to have the check dropped ASAP because we were headed to the Smith Center to attend an event. This did not happen. Even though we had clearly finished our meal and beverage, we were forced to flag down the waiter to bring the bill. The restaurant was not busy and it was puzzling why the waiter did not heed our request. I specifically asked if the tomatoes were ripe and not hard. The waiter assured me that the tomatoes were ripe and delicious. I therefore chose to order this salad rather than consider other options. The tomatoes arrived hard as a rock. The waiter did refund the charges."

  • "My wife and I entertained family visiting from Sicily and Triple George Grill was perfect! The atmosphere was vibrant but not too noisy to carry on a conversation. The waitress was very friendly and extremely attentive the entire night. The food was top notch and the prices reasonable. The Italian family particular liked the spinach/artichoke dip appetizer, they couldn't stop eating it! We will definitely return and recommend Triple George Grill to family and friends."

  • "Dinner at Triple George Grill is the perfect prelude to a performance at the nearby Smith Center. The service is efficient so you can count on being on time for your performance. The food is basic, well-prepared American cooking. The bar is well stocked, and the wine menu is above average. We like the sophisticated, yet not still casual, decor. Parking is convenient, and valet parking is available."

  • "The service was excedllent - bread and french onion soup were great. The Margaritas (even upgraded to Cadillac) were mediocre and tasted like mostly lime juice. The entrees were horrible. I have had better fried chicken at KFC - gravy was lumpy, chicken overcooked and "rice pilaf" tasted old and reheated. Trout Special was not - fish was dry and overcooked and rice was inedible. Had to ask for a bowl of plain rice. We sent a review to the Downtown Grand and they have not replie."

  • "The Triple George has been serving the down town Las Vegas area for 30 plus years and considered an icon. The place is tastefully decorated offering both a large dining area and private booths. The large bar fills up quickly and offers dining for those who choose to have a bite to eat with their coctails. The food tastes wonderful, the portions are large and prices reasonable. I love the spinach artichoke dip and the warm chocolate cake is to die for! As for attire, you'll see anything from the Attorney in a suit and tie to a tourist in a pair of shorts and flip flop. They also offer patio dining if you're into people watching and listing to music from the Hog's & Heffers bar next store."

  • "Since this was close by to the Mob Museum in Vegas, I made reservations here. I have visited Las Vegas many times and have stayed in the downtown area but never realized this restaurant was here. The food was very good but not outstanding. I would recommend anyone to go just for a different dining experience in downtown away from the craziness of Fremont Street"

  • "My go-to place for downtown visitors who want to get out of the casinos. Love goat cheese with marinara appetizer. Drunken hanger steak marinated in soy and beer was delicious and tender. My brother loved the rib-eye. Perfectly cooked veggies."

  • "Shrimp George was excellent! Sides were yummy-mashed potatoes and scallopini squash. Steaks were delicious, but not cooked as ordered (undercooked rather than requested; medium was more medium rare and medium well was more medium). Slow to acknowlede and seat us (party of 6), even with reservations and not extremely busy (a Monday night at 730pm). A few people came in after us and were also waiting to be acknowledeged. Service was slow and lacking - water glasses not refilled, slow initial drink order and follow up, server made several pass throughs without even checking on us, though he was quite attentive to table right next to us (??). Daughter's 21st birthday celebration - chocolate lava cake was amazing! Casual atmosphere +++"

  • "I made reservation on line and in the comments section I indicated this was my husband's 75th birthday. The comfirmation of the reservation also had the birthday information. A few days prior we stopped by the restaurant to make sure everything was comfirmed and were told all information was there. There was not any acknowledgement of my husband's birthday. I asked the server about this and explained that when I made reservation I mentioned it was a 75th birthday. He then said he would get something then gave my husband a dessert and said there will be no charge. It was nice that my husband's birthday was finally acknowledged but I should have not had to ask and the comment "there will be no charge" was not necessary. Disappointed!"
