Pleasantly surprised, Great steakhouse and Great service. Our server C.J. was Outstanding and very attentive as we're our host. The food was much better than steakhouses we have paid triple at that gave less service. You can tell this place really appreciated our business and the Y that you as such. One of our new FAVORITE places here in town.

We went there in Jun2014 and it was great food and service. We went again in August 2014 and it was terrible food and service. Not a fan of high prices and inconsistency.

Loved the ambience. You don't feel like you are in a Vegas restaurant, which is great. However, the service was inattentive and slow but pleasant. My steak was only slightly above room temperature but tasty, must have sat in the kitchen for 15 minutes or so before serving. My wife ordered Chicken Christopher which was not as described in the menu and she had to send it back. They did offer to replace it but we had to get to a show, so there was not time.

Located in Downtown Vegas ... across from the Downtown Grand. I read several reviews on this location and decided to try it... what a great find. Everything was delicious especially the porcine rib eye. Prices were reasonable, but even more so with the quality of the food and service. Will definitely go again and highly recommend this for any dining experience.

We love Triple George Grilll. This visit though with a party of 6 we were seated right by the kitchen. It was quite noisy. The booths are much quieter as well as the room on the other side. We had guests that we hoped would love the place as much as we do but with the muse level I don't think that was the case.

My wife and I went to the Triple George after reading favorable reviews. Only a block from Fremont street and it is placed between a pizza place and a saloon. When you walk in, it doesn't feel like Las Vegas anymore. Sure, the walls are covered with black and white photos from the "Sinatra Days" of old Vegas, but the feel of the place reminded me of some of the older steakhouses in Downtown Seattle, or any city with a old-style restaurant with some history. It got busy quick and I see why it was listed as a "Power Lunch" spot. The food was reasonably priced and the cocktails were made with care (Nola Sazerac - excellent). Should have stayed away from the calamari though. Tough, dry, and flavorless.

We have visited downtown Vegas on numerous occasions but this was our first time to Triple George Grill. We will definitely be back. Food was very good, service friendly and attentive, and the overall value excellent. Our final bill was much less than we have paid on the Strip for meals that were not as good. Take the time to go downtown and visit this restaurant - it is well worth the time.

A real nice down town place to eat, away from the hustle of down town Vegas, but kind of pricey. the bill for three people was ~$160.00 and only included two cocktails. Notable: No table cloths or placemats adorned any of the tables... once you unroll your silverware you have to lay your flatware on the bare table which had just been wiped off with a damp towel. Staff was friendly and efficient. additionally: A negative comment, but no fault of the restaurant... once the sun begins to set dozens of motorcycles begin arriving for next door bar action. Very unpleasant had we decided to dine of the patio. The online reservation system works well

The food was good this time as it has been in the past. I would recommend this to a friend for a nice meal, but not if you want great service. The waiter was there to ask what we wanted and to bring us the check. He was not around when we asked for water ( had to find someone to do that), he was not around when the food was all brought out. He did stop by to check on another table and we were able to ask for more bread and butter. We got the bread, not the butter. As for all the food we ordered, wonderful. Steaks were cooked right, vegetables were crisp and good flavor. The chicken that my wife had was seasoned enough and she enjoyed the sauce that was with her meal also. Enjoy the place, beware of the service!

  • Cold, overpriced steak

I went to this restaurant based on the high reviews. I was very disappointed. I ordered a $60 steak, it was the daily special. It came out cold. Not warm, not luke-warm, not room temperature. Cold, as if it had been left out under the air conditioning vent. I informed the waiter, who at first attempted to place the cause on the fact that I ordered it medium rare. Sorry, I have eaten at MANY great steak restaurants, and never have I been served a cold steak because it was medium rare. He took it back for them to flash it. He returned, and it was warmer. However, because there was a sauce on the steak, the sauce was now seared into the meat, it was no longer a sauce, but dried and cooked into the meat. I do not recommend for any reason.

My wife and I ate at this dining establishment not knowing what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised by the overall eating experience. The experience was perfect from the hostess to the check. Our food server was named Andrew, and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the daily specials, the menu. I had the oysters, and the fish and chips, and my wife had the chicken pot pie. The oysters on the half shell were fresh and delicious. No complaints here, it was high quality dining, with great service with a smile!

We went to the Triple George to celebrate our 7th anniversary. We were blown away by the dangerously good blackberry martinis and the pristine, fresh oysters on the half shell that we enjoyed as an appetizer (best we've ever had) The filet tips special (over garlic mashed potatoes) was fantastic comfort food and a huge portion; one plate could have easily fed both of us (we enjoyed the leftovers the next day!). We were also presented with ice cream with fresh strawberries and whipped cream in honor of our anniversary which was the perfect end to an outstanding meal. Our server was spot on, very personable, and had a comprehensive understanding of the food. We're still talking about how good the food was and can't wait to go back again!

I have been here many times. Food was very good, as always. However, I was disappointed in the service. Usually its pretty good - not great. But this time I had to go through the bus person to get the waiter to get the check - even though I had told him we were going to a show at Smith Center and he assured me he would get served and out in a timely way. When he came to the time we had discussed - he was behind the bar - not busy.

I really enjoyed my selection of the salmon Caesar salad. The fish was a perfect portion (4 oz) and very well cooked. My dining companion, however, was lured in by the "special" of the evening and was completely overwhelmed by both the HUGE portions of food and the really high cost for it. A "special" should indicate a smaller price than most menu items...not double the cost.

All four of us were extremely disappointed! The food was OK but the service was AWFUL. Waiter seemed put out that we didn't want a big huge meal and only something light........table service was so bad I called the staff on it and it continued. Not a place I'd put high on my list especially when there are so many other restaurants downtown.

We have celebrated many significant occasions at Triple George and have always LOVED the food. When we made the reservation on Open Table there is a box for special considerations. We asked for a table in the back (we dined early @ 6 p.m.) due to an elderly guest who is hearing challenged. When we arrived we could not be seated due to an employee greeting family members. Hostess explains we need to wait until they are done. Fine. Except the table they were blocking which was meant to be ours was the table to the left as you come in the door! Where all the noise and traffic take place. I mentioned to the hostess about our request. This was on June 28th at 6 p.m. for reference. She was RUDE! RUDE! RUDE.

Triple George Grill was a great place for a very good pre-show dinner. Our steaks were perfectly prepared and served with "Chef's Accompaniments" which meant we did not need to order sides. It was a little noisy so the waiter had to repeat a few things back for clarification and even then the martini came "up" rather than "on the rocks" but this error was quickly remedied. Over all a very nice, energetic place.

Overall, the experience was pretty good: The staff was very attentive, and the food was flavorful. I also liked that the building had a converted feel to it, seemingly created from an old pub. The cut of steak we ordered was great. Even though the flavor of the rub wasn't quite what we were thinking, it was still a noticeably great cut. The swordfish filet we ordered was a little dried out but the dish was well balanced with a sauce and good flavor. My biggest complaint is the price. There are several other restaurants in the city where, for the same cost, you receive higher quality meals. Certainly for its neighborhood the Triple George is a great establishment. There are simply better places within a short drive for similar prices.
