TriompheGreat DinerWe went for the birthday of my mother during our one week stay in NYC to the Triomphe and the Diner was realy tasty and realy great. Also the white wine was also great. I could only recommend this restaurant for everyone who want to have a delicious diner with a pretty atmospehre. We would come again, when we are the next time in NYC.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAn intimate gem in the heartAn intimate gem in the heart of Manhattan. We all felt that we were in a five star restaurant in Europe Great service and the food was memorable. A great find!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMA hidden gemI took my friend here to celebrate her milestone birthday. She was amazed how fantastic the food was, how prompt the service and great the evening was in general. This is a hidden gem in near the theater district4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMRecently went to TriompheRecently went to Triomphe after a few years. Menu is pretty standard French with some almost random seeming Asian accents. Sole meuniere next to a tuna sashimi dish. Didn't really see the flow. The most random part was the bread. It was too sweet and overly seasoned with fall spices, like allspice and cinnamon. Not the way I expected a meal to start. Give me some crusty baguette--so I asked, and they did! Service was very good. Made great recommendations and helped guide through a few pairings.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had the Chefs tasting menuWe had the Chefs tasting menu and the food and wine pairings were fantastic. The service was great as well, attentive , well paced and courteous. Intimate setting, tables a bit too close for comfort. Classy night out guaranteed.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMVery delicious food, greatVery delicious food, great service and perfect noise level.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWine Tasting Menu - Great!Dinner was fabulous! Wine pairings were excellent, and the food was superb. Small, quiet dining room. Tables a little bit "tight," but first class experience.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMTriomphe was a triumph! ExcellentTriomphe was a triumph! Excellent food, a beautiful room, friendly service, and a relatively quiet noise level. It's not inexpensive - but worth it. Perfectly cooked halibut (the special fish)was especially delicious.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMA nice lunchPreviously we had a very nice dinner. This time we decicided to try lunch. Rather than a bread roll, you are given a delicious freahly baked baby corn bread. Presented with this is a butter spread which is of no value as the bread crumbles. We each had a glass of wine. My wife started with a very nice beet and goat cheese salad and I had one of the sides (garlic spinach) to start. Both were excellent and quite large (my wife could not finish hers). We then had the salmon entree, which was very good. Again, all portions are very ample. We decided that on next visit, we will likely simply order an entree or one of their small dishes and a dessert. A good choice for lunch might be their omelette which comes with a salad and costs only $17.00.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMSuperb in every way. GoodSuperb in every way. OneOutstanding first visit. One problem--charged $16 "by accident" for my far cheaper wine. Quickly corrected. Only guest in charming room on a cold NY Monday. Will return but watch my check.... mwh2/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant has been renovatedThe restaurant has been renovated since we were here last: homey, yet sophisticated very nice. Alberto is a very attentive, careful, caring person.
The food is expertly prepared and presented. The steak au poire was excellent and well portioned.. Better than at the huge steak houses.
We will continue to go to this special evening at Triomphe every time we go to NYC.1/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
