Trio Rhode IslandCan't go wrong!Trio remains one of our favorite restaurants in South County. The food is always excellent with interesting specials and a great seasonal menu. The pork and beans (a pork tenderloin dish) on the current summer menu is great. The pizzas are superb and make a nice shared appetizer. This restaurant is always dependable for a wonderful dinner, polite, professional service and an enjoyable evening. For him there were so many choices. I am a picky/plain eater, so for myself there weren't many choices, but I was able to eat. The staff was fantastic, they kept drinks filled and checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a reservation and were seated right away-there were 7 in our group. For apps,the chowder was great and so was the flat bread with figs and goat cheese. Everyone enjoyed their meals and service was pretty good-we had to ask for bread and when someone needed vinegar we waited a while to get that. But they brought out crime brûlée with a candle and everyone sang happy birthday. Menu is well crafted for the area. A college kid can get a reasonably priced burger, or lobster with Lemonchelo cream tortalone to go upscale. Deserts also well executed and imaginative. You can tell Trio takes some fine dining cues from sister resturant Casle Hill Inn, but makes the menu work well in Narraganset. We live out of state and have used the restaurant on several occasions when we visit our daughter who is a student at the university. We have found it to be a very pleasurable experience each time with the energy level changing to reflect the time and day we were there.
