The poor reviews seemed to have been on the weekends during season when the place was very busy. Four of us went on a Tuesday evening in early May and had a great experience. Arrived early but were immediately seated. Our server was Terrance who was perfect. Attentive and personable. Made us feel welcome. Explained the menu and took drink orders. Drinks served promptly. Had the Calamari appetizer which was as good as we have ever had. It was tender and flavorable and the Thai dipping sauce was great. For entrees, three of us had the Crawfish Pot Pie. Outstanding. The fourth had the Shrimp in a Louisiana Tomato Sauce which also was good.

Food was very good and reasonable. The reservation process was simple and convenient through Open Table online. When we arrived at the restaurant, with parking available in the rear of the reataurant, we were promtly seated and proceeded to have a great time dining and socializing. The wait staff was courteous, professional and timely even during a busy time of the evening. There was a diverse selection of entrees to choose from including an earlier evening pre fix menu as a great bargain and option to the dinner menu.

However, dinner at Trio was one of the best meal experiences we have ever had. Service by Kelly was great (so good, we asked her name so I could highlight her here) and the food was innovative, fun and oh, so good. My partner had the scallops which were about the best I have ever had, I had the fish special which was excellent and our friend had the pork chops which he raved about the whole trip. We shared a bottle of wine which was priced at a reasonable mark-up. In fact, all the prices were moderate and the whole dining experience was a highlight from the trip.
