My boyfriend and I try different brunch spots every Sunday. We had been wanting to try Trio but it's a little pricey! We got engaged so decided it was worth it for a celebration and the food and service was great! It wasn't too crowded so there was always easy access to the food and we were stuffed when we left!

My Husband and I celebrated our anniversary here with our best friends also celebrating their anniversary. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with expedient service and professionalism. Our table was especially romantic as requested with fresh roses and candlelight. We indulged in every part of the menu and from starters to dessert we were consistently impressed with the quality and taste of each dish. The crab cakes are so perfectly seasoned and the quail was super tender, The wedge salad was fresh and had the perfect blend of vegetables, cheeses and bits of meat. The red fish and snapper was flaky to perfection and paired perfectly with the garlic Chile broccolini and fresh puff rolls. The steak was tender, juicy, and true to it's oz. Accompanied by the best Texas steak fries I've ever had ( a perfect cut of roasted potatoes seasoned with garlic and sea salt shavings). The rack of lamb was equally satisfying and paired up nicely with the macaroni and cheese. All of the sides were family style so you could make your plate as colorful as you like. For dessert, I ordered their coconut sorbet which was served with fresh berries and a fanned wafer chip. Our friends ordered the banana pudding (that came in a chilled mini jar) and a special Texan specialty (can't quite recall the name) but it was layers of roasted nuts, sweet sauces, and creamy goodness surrounded by a toasted crust! We had excellent service from beginning to end and no silly mistakes or mishaps. Trio provides a first class dining experience to it's guests and is worth every dime spent. We will definitely be returning and trying since of the other intriguing deliciousness, they offer antelope from the range menu and a potato purée that I am dying to taste!! So glad we celebrated such a special occasion at such a special place! Booked through OpenTable, Valet parking, Coat check, No wait, Expedient service, Willing to customize, great wait staff (not competing).

Went on a Sunday night to the back terrace which is near Lady Bird Lake. We wanted and received lite fare. I ordered something simple, but NOT on the menu...a poached salmon fillet on butter lettuce with lite ranch dressing; perfectly prepared. They really want to please, and the evening menu has a wide variety. My guest ditched the "lite fare" idea and was seduced by the German Weinerschnitzel with homemade spatzle and red sauerkraut; yummy. Trio is a great place to end the weekend on an UP. Plenty of flame warmers beside tables on terrace.

Trio is a good choice if you're in downtown Austin. They start with ridiculously delicious cheesy puff bread. They have a nice, if overpriced, selection of wines and consistently good fish dishes. The chicken is also a good choice as is the antelope if you're feeling a bit gamy. I've always found the service to be top notch, and if the weather is cooperating, it's nice to dine outside beside the lake.

During our stay at the Four Seasons, we had breakfast, brunch, and happy hour at Trio. All were great. The brunch was really good - many options. But the highlight of our trip was sitting in an adirondack chair out on the lawn overlooking the river with cocktails. They have happy hour out there. So amazing. Great service

Ate here with a group during a convention stay, food was above average and exciting. Outdoor seating was also enjoyable, especially if you want to take a short walk down to see the Congress St. Bridge. Only drawback was with our service. Server seldom came around to check on refills or see if we needed anything. Hopefully most others will not have the same experience with more seasoned and easy-to-understand servers.

Everything about my recent leisurely lunch with 2 friends at Trio was perfect. We had a wonderful booth table that overlooked the beautiful grounds of the Four Seasons. All of the wait staff was so personable - the person offering us beverages, the lovely young woman offering us buttery rolls , and our charming waiter. One of us chose the express lunch and the other two had the delectable Chilean sea bass over kale salad. The room was reasonably full but the noise level never interfered with our conversation. For our birthdays, which all of the staff seemed to be aware of because we received many birthday wishes from them, a lovely plate with beautifully decorated chocolate cupcakes and lit candles were delivered to our table.

The food was great, service was very good. I have been in the Four Seasons but never eaten at Trio before. I think it would be great place to eat outside if it wasn't 95 degrees. I was surprised that the restaurant ambiance wasn't better for a high-end restaurant (our dinner was $225 with two glasses of wine). It was more like a hotel coffee shop than a high end restaurant and the music that was piped in was not at all in keeping with the restaurant. We had a gift card or probably would never have eaten there. Probably won't go back.

Food was great and reasonable considering all other factors of this iconic restaurant, but we did find the wine list a little on the pricey side compared to entre prices. The house Procesco was very good and reasonably priced, but could have been colder.

On Friday we enjoyed the Happy Hour small plates (ceviche and parmesan meat balls) and local craft, draft beers, then went into the dining room for dinner: rack of lamb and maple glazed salmon...beautifully presented but even more so, perfectly cooked how differently each of us like it. We asked for NO salt on our entrée and vegetables and VOILA, we got no salt...this is sometimes hard to get at other restaurants. The view out to the terrace and Lady Bird lake is very serene through full floor length windows. Tables spaced far apart, banquette booths, all for a very private feeling. Make reservation and ask for 'by the window'.

If you have an $80,000 car, you'll pay nothing to valet park. If you have a current year $40,000 car (or, presumably, a car of lesser value), you'll pay $8.00. Bad taste in my mouth after an otherwise lovely brunch.

My experience at Trio was amazing. I had indicated in my open table reservation that we were celebrating my sisters' 50th birthday. The menu included a Happy 50th Birthday note across the top of the menu, which was such a wonderful personal touch. Trio presented my sister with a scrolled copy of the menu to my sister to take home. The food and service was outstanding. I highly recommend this resturant. Booking the reservation through open table was great.

Had a great meal with my wife to celebrate 22 years. The staff did an excellent job of striking the balance between reserved professionalism and overly familiar friendliness. I had noted on my opentable reservation that it was for our anniversary and requested a nice table with a view. They gave us a great table and had a number of touches throughout the evening for our anniversary without being indiscreet or tacky. While I was very impressed with the service, the food matched in quality and the servings were generous. The highlights were the flash fried brussels sprouts, (my wife said, "its like eating candy") and for dessert the bon bons made of dark chocolate with Amy's ice cream (don't miss it). Wine steward was very helpful too.

My husband and I came for dinner for our anniversary. Everything was perfect. The service was outstanding, everyone was very genuinely friendly and seemed to know their jobs inside and out. Our food was wonderful, we started with the tuna tartare which melted in your mouth. For dinner we shared the pork chop and snapper, we also had the brussel sprouts and mushrooms...delicious. Dessert was the omg amazing banana pudding with homemade cookies. Our server recommended the best wine. Overall Trio has earned a spot in my Austin top 5.

Trio is one of my favorite breakfast spots on Austin. It is a special treat. The service is top notch and the view of the lake and running trail is pure Austin. My single complaint is that the food often arrives room temperature, if not cold. I do always sit on the patio so the restaurant is challenged with a long commute from the kitchen.
