A word from Tribeca Tavern
TRIBECA TAVERN is a casual grill and bar that just so happens to have a state of the art audio/visual system. Great for the big game? Sure. Great for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch? Absolutely.
Our specialties are burgers, taken to the next level, accompanied by 20 North Carolina brewed draft beers. TRIBECA is more than burger joint though, with a fresh fun menu including appetizers, salads, soups, brick oven pizzas, steaks, seafood, pastas and fresh desserts.

Found this gem a couple of years ago~drive from Fort Bragg area just for fabulous burgers!! Brought some friends this visit! Great food, desserts were wonderful...Our table had mix of burgers, pasta, soup, fish & chips and peppercorn steak. The only disappointment was the steak (little tough). Love the Farm to Table concept of local products! Love the area, too!

My party of 4 was delayed 20 minutes, and when we showed up, our reservation had been canceled. We were, however, able to get a table in the bar without having to wait. The noise level was a little higher than we had planned for, but we were still able to hold a conversation. Service was fine. Food was okay. Nothing outstanding. I ordered the salmon and the "Asian slaw" turned out to be bean sprouts on top of the fish which was surrounded by a ginger sauce. A disappointing presentation, to say the least. The salmon was good enough. Others in my party ordered hamburgers, which were cooked to order and enjoyed. If you try this restaurant, your best bet seems to be their hamburgers.

Restaurants come and go in Cary. Tribeca Tavern has been here for awhile and they're undoubtedly here to stay. Most of their menu is locally sourced, from beef to veggies to beer, and the preparation is great. Everything from some really good burgers to surprisingly good fish & chips, sandwiches and salads -- all above average and all with their own special flair. The turkey meatballs and cheesy poofs are both good appetizers. The mac & cheese is always good and often excellent. A very respectable bar drink menu and decent desserts. This is a restaurant you can (and we do) go to often, with their good service and menu variety.

Service was excellent. Atmosphere was great - large open dining area with good noise control made for the perfect setting for 2 couples to dine and enjoy conversation without straining to hear one another. Food was prepared according to our wishes, looked & tasted terrific - we all cleaned our plates!

We love coming to Tribeca Tavern! It is one of our most favorite restaurants in the area. We dine at Tribeca a couple of times each month because the meals are very good and the prices moderate. The service is always good to very good. Tribeca is a great place for a burger, sandwich, salad, wrap or pub meal such as fish and chips. We are never disappointed. It is always crowded so reservations allow you to avoid the wait. We almost never wait for more than a few minutes.

Server knew her food and beverages. I ask about gluten free, she more than one gf beer. Then when I ordered fries with my no-bun hamburger ( could have had a gluten-free bun, but opted not to) she told me the fries had gluten on them, but that the sweet potato fries were gluten-free. Very impressive. Awuor checked on us often, but not too often. Manager also came by to see if food was done right.

The menu had a variety of options including vegetarian and out of the ordinary. A lot of use of local businesses such as the Chapel Hill Creamery. The Aged Rib-eye was delicious and the hamburgers were huge. I really enjoyed the crab dip appetizer too. It is also a good place for trying unique and local beer. We were there on a quiet Sunday night, but... TVs were everywhere - might have to come back to watch a hockey game.

We dine at Tribeca often year around. We are always satisfied with the quality of our meals and the service as well as the moderate pricing. On this night we had tomato soup, a chef salad and a house salad with salmon. The tomato soup was excellent, among the best I have tasted. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The chef salad was very good. I would rather have all romaine or iceberg lettuce rather than the mixed greens so I had to pick my way through the greens. However, the portion was large and I had plenty to eat. We recommend Tribeca for a consistently great casual dining experience.

We ate outside because it was quieter. Also we were taking advantage of the nice day. The flies did find us once the food arrived. It was the best corn beef sandwich I had here. The menu looks inviting but when the food comes, there are basic things wrong. Hamburger meat is good but the buns are terrible. They are egg-based and simply not right for hamburgers. Alternative buns are worst - frozen, microwaved vegan buns or pretzel. Their bacon is paper thin rather than thick cut, onions and tomatoes the same - you simply can't taste them. All in all, a high price for an average meal.

My wife and I go to Tribeca Tavern 2 - 4 times/month. The food is consistently good as is the service. I'd say it is several notches above pub food. The problem we are having is that we've exhausted the menu of foods we like; hopefully we'll see some new offerings soon. This is a low risk restaurant if you are seeking casual dining with a comfortable atmosphere.

When we are looking for a casual place to have lunch or dinner nine times out of 10 we go to Tribeca Tavern. On this evening our party had fish and chips, a hamburger, bison burger and salad with salmon. All of our meals were very good. The fish and chips has been updated to include two onion rings, a larger portion and is served on "newspaper" as in England. The changes were a welcome surprise. Both burgers were very good and the salmon was prepared perfectly. Our server, Jordan, was friendly and helpful. Tribeca is a great place to dine for a casual dinner with friends or family.

We chose Tribeca Tavern primarily because it was listed as kid- friendly and it is. Good choices food wise for kids etc. Our service was pretty bad. The waiter barely checked on us and my husband had to hail someone down to get a second glass of wine. The hostess was more interested in her colleagues than proper customer care. The food was average, although the menu seemed enticing based on the web site.

We went to Tribeca Tavern for a Father's day lunch. This is at least our 5th time eating here, we have always had a wonderful experience. On this day we came for a late lunch. It was a little disappointing that the menu had changed. The meal took a little longer then usual, but I understand that happens on busy days. It was very cold in there as well. When our food did arrive it was very cold, the temperature you would expect your food to be at the end of a meal. It was not enjoyable and we decided it wasn't worth eating. The manager apologized, didn't charge us for the meal we did not eat. He gave us a gift card for $25 to come back again. For $15 burgers, I expect it to be served hot. $25 will not be enough for us to return.

The food, as always, is stellar at Tribeca. However, the service was less than desirable. We were seated and received drinks very quickly, but our waiter disappeared for about 15 minutes while we stared at our menus and watched as tables around us were seated and served before we even placed our order. He got our order and we waited another 45+ minutes or so before our food came. In that time, the table beside us sat, ordered, ate, and got their checks. No idea what happened... burgers and sandwiches do not take more than an hour to cook. Hopefully it was a fluke, because I love Tribeca, but I am not hoping to see that waiter again!

Tribeca Tavern is your typical tavern, but it offers extras in gourmet features and a clean, modern environment. We've been to Tribeca 4 times and this last time the food quality was WAY down. Things were REALLY greasy and overpriced for what we got. This visit started with a rude hostess, too. Our Open Table reservation asked for outside and I said we were going with our pup, which we've done before. All the tables on the right were full and most on the left were open. She comes out, sees me, and goes "OH... you have a DOG?" in a very rude tone. "You're not allowed to sit over on this side if you have a dog." my husband replied "well the whole other side is full, and we said we had a dog on the reservation" Our waiter (Jeremy) was AWESOME. he brought water for the pup and was very attentive. However, the food was just not up to par.

I was looking to take my husband somewhere decent for his birthday and treat him to something nice. Found this restaurant on trip advisor, and as usual, it was over rated. Food was ok (the white pizza was very bland and my husband's steak wasn't cooked correctly, but everyone else seemed moderately satisfied) but the service was far below normal. The waiter made us feel like we were always bothering him and that he had better things to do. I wouldn't go here again even if management offered a free meal. It isn't worth the gas driving there.
