Diner Reviews
  • "Bread on French Dip was hard - in past the bread was better (different and softer). Meatloaf was only fair. Broccolini is too tough - recommend using another veggie of comparable price. Have been pleased with food on previous visits. Service was very good - I believe Brandy was waitress. "

  • "Great food--familiar but not trite choices; attentive but not pushy service; excellent atmosphere that allows both classy and casual diners. "

  • "You can count on the food and service. They make great drinks too! It's our "go to" place for a good meal and meeting friends and family!"

  • "Five of us have a monthly lunch get-together and Tribeca did not disappoint. I was especially pleased with the fish tacos which had a unique and pleasing sweetness in the seasoning. The server was quite willing to make substitutions. Also, Tribeca provides a great selections of beers."

  • "I and my hubby went to the Tirbeca Tavern to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was not what we expected. We dressed up and expected it to be the type of restaurant where you dressed in your nicer clothing, there were flat screen t.v.'s everywhere which was annoying - (so many that it was overkill) it was very noisy and our waitress wasnt very attentive or friendly - she was ok seemed to be in a hurry the whole time she served us. To be honest, I wouldnt mind going back for lunch or dinner with friends but my hubby doesnt plan to ever go back - in his opinion he said he could go many other places and get a fancy burger."

  • "Food and service are usually very good. On this visit we ordered the 9 oz. Tribeca Burgers. They were ordered Well and Medium-Well. However, both burgers were cooked Medium, pink to almost raw center. The burgers were also very greasy. Service was prompt and friendly, but plates and glasses were removed before we had finished with them without asking. The asparagus was excellent."

  • "I've eaten here a few times before and I'm always impressed with the atmosphere. It's a lot of fun to just to be there. Lively & entertaining. Servers are friendly, quick & on top of things. This time I had the fish tacos which were scrumptious but I had to order some sweet potato fries on the side because those are fantastic! As well as their prickle chips with redneck ketchup is perfect. It's a great place with friends, or a enjoyable date night. The drinks are rich and satisfying. Will be back again!"

  • "The turkey burger was excellent, the service was good. Last trip I had the seafood pasta which wasn't great at all. Small portions and bland."

  • "My wife and I were very impressed with the food, service, and setting of Tribeca Tavern. We will definitely be eating here again in the near future"

  • "We were looking forward to a return trip to Tribeca. Unfortunately, it appeared they were having some issues. Bar service was so slow that we finally received our drinks just before the food was placed on the table. Our food was not even warm - had obviously been sitting. I ordered their new "throw Mama from the ...." burger and was looking forward to the balsamic caramelized onions on top; there was barely a teaspoon full of onions on the burger. The table next to us sent a taco plate back that was cold and did not reorder because the manager told them it would be a lengthy wait for a replacement. The woman wound up eating chips for her dinner. Not sure what was going on Friday night, but it will be awhile before we try it again."

  • "Great burgers! Although our meal came a bit too fast, all the food was terrific, as was the service."

  • "From the moment we arrived we were treated with professionalism and smiles. Our waiter made sure our glasses, both water and wine, were always full, and gave us just enough inside information to help us all select a meal we would remember. I highly recommend Tribeca as a place for friends, family and that special someone! Loved the flounder special and the Hidden Crush Red."

  • "When I travel and am trying to choose where to eat, I google "good food and beer in....". Tribeca Tavern was one of my results in Raleigh. I'm not going to say it was the best beer list I came across while viewing the online menus, but it was nonetheless, a great beer list. The food menu made the decision for me. I really do love good beer, but I don't want to have to drink it with the same old tired food that every mediocre pub is serving. There are some very interesting finds on Tribeca Tavern's menu. I had the bison meatloaf-a great choice if you are into quality, grass fed, local (ish) meats. I was also able to get a flight of 4 of their brews and then chose the one I wanted a pilsner of. Overall, an excellent experience!"

  • "First time here and awesome find! So glad we went. TVs at every booth. Kid friendly and still upscale enough for couples night out. Loved the burgers and the mixed drinks. Definitely going again soon! Yay Restaurant Week!"

  • "If for no other reason, I would go back just to sit at one of Chelsea's tables. Our party of four on a quiet Thursday night was made to feel welcomed, appreciated, and cared for. She offered insider info on menu choices and her suggestions were spot on. Everyone in our party opted for the TriBeCa Burger with customized toppings and sides. The homemade chips and twice baked potato options were especially tasty. Burgers were cooked to order and the 9oz monsters are enough to fill even the hungriest teenager you can find. The beer selections were better than average and the Irish Red was very nice. Good food, outstanding service, and all for a reasonable price."

  • "Great food made from local ingredients. Prices are a little higher than the average sports bar but reasonable and worth it for the quality. There are flat screens everywhere to watch sports. Service was great even for a busy night."

  • "Food was good, service was very good, atmosphere was good. The hamburgers were very good. The shrimp and grits were very good, be advised they are Cajun style. The asparagus at Tribeca is usually very good."

  • "Tribeca is always good. This visit, my meal was exceptionally small (seafood pasta) and the side of asparagus was also very small. However, it was all very tasty. The menu is varied and will suit just about anyone - even a vegan/vegetarian."

  • "My fiancé and I went just to enjoy each other and that's exactly what we did. They served local beers made in NC and have material so you can read all about. I had the Bison burger and it was awesome! Cooked just right, very filling but doesn't give you the itis afterward. Our server was Ramon and he was very friendly and checked on us often. Definitely coming back to check out their brunch."

  • "We all had burgers, two of us had the bison. All of them were juicy and cooked properly. Nice place to watch a game; televisions at all of the booths."

  • "The food is good. The service was a bit slow. But that wouldn't keep us away. We could hardly speak to each other because the noise level was so high. Will not return for that reason alone."

  • "I love Tribeca for the quality of its local food. Their hamburgers are some of the BEST around and their topics are unlimited! Love the atmosphere and the beer selection."

  • "I met with a group of five other colleagues for about three hours. We were seated right away, our server was prompt and attentive, and we had a quiet space to work. The food was delicious, and we were able to conduct our meeting without interruptions. This was a wonderful experience. I would recommend Tribeca Tavern to friends and family! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!"

  • "Saturday night...moderately busy. Turkey burger was satisfactory. Baby back ribs less than warm and not much meat on the bones. Fries were cool and over-salted so just left behind. Waiter brought out replacement ribs after end of meal. Could only say no-thank-you. Never did give us a chance to order dessert. High level of noise included crying infants and much cheering from people watching football on many screens. Place looks like it did under former multiple owners...like an upscale restaurant. Current owners present it as a pub. So be prepared for pub food and pub noise."

  • "This was our first time here and are so glad we gave it a try. Great atmosphere, not loud and tables are amply spaced apart. Wait staff was phenomenal: friendly, attentive without hovering and spot on with their beer and food recommendations. We all ordered burgers - these are not your run-of-the-mill burgers that vary only in whatever toppings you choose. Tribeca grinds and seasons their own meat so it's fresh, very flavorful in itself and doesn't rely on the toppings to carry the burger. Sizeable portions and reasonably priced. We'll absolutely be back and, with family coming for Christmas,Tribeca is at the top of our list."

  • "I liked the food and the service was great. I chose because of the food but prefer a more intimate atmosphere and less noise. I can do without all the TV screens, but I realize most of your business is sports fans."

  • "Great place to have a great meal and watch the game!"

  • "The food was average in taste but high in cost. The server was average at best and did not even now the menu. We would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality meal in a restaurant setting."

  • "This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants! The varied menu makes this a terrific place for both adults and children. When I have company, this is my "go to" place to take them. "Repeat" company ALWAYS asks to go BACK to Tribeca Tavern. That's as good of a recommendation as any other I could ever make."

  • "If you like hamburgers cooked to order, this is the place. You can get bison, hamburger or Kobe beef burger fixed any number of ways."
