Tribeca Americana Bistro & LoungeMother's Day BrunchGreat service, Fantastic gourmet food, Lively atmosphere. At last, Colleyville has a world class restaurant (since 62 Main).5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely Mother's Day BrunchOur experience dining at Tribeca on Sunday (Mother's Day) was delightful. Food was terrific (one of the best eggs benedict I have ever had). The only problem was the service. We must have waited about 20-25 minutes before our waiter (poor thing was quite harried) first came to our table. I'm not sure if the reason for the delay was because y'all were busy (we saw many empty tables) or if it was for a different reason. In any case, this glitch notwithstanding, we thoroughly enjoyed the Brunch.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent menu with well-thoughtExcellent menu with well-thought out pairings of sweet/salty combinations
Very reasonably priced lunch menu5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst visit impressionThis was our first time at Tribeca. While the food was good I would have preferred more items from the late night menu that were not available to us for dinner. Would have enjoyed the platter of cheeses and meats as a Pre dinner appetizer but not allowed for dinner just late night snacking. Our waiter was great though. The music after dinner was a bit on the loud side. Loud doesn't mean better. I was disappointed there was not soft music in the main dining area. Overall our experience was good but its not a place I'd go on a regular basis. For me its more of an every now and then spot.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMColleyville Has A Winner!Excellent in every way! The lobster Mac and Cheese appetizer is fantastic!!!4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've been twice now and hadWe've been twice now and had an excellent meal each time. The service was better on the first visit, but has been good enough both times. We will be back again.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I tried this restaurantMy wife and I tried this restaurant for our 33rd wedding anniversary. Our first visit but not the last. The service was top notch and the food was very good indeed. We had starters of the potato crusted shrimp with a great sweet chili dipping sauce. They were outstanding. My wife had a watermelon cucmber bleu chees salad that I must admit, against my manliness, that it was terriffic! My caesar salad was a bit on the bland side but that could be a result of the very well poured Macallan I enjoyed during the starter! The main dishes came out hot and timely. My wife had the tomato and mushroom crepes and I had the stuffed breast of veal. Both were fantastic. We had a great experience and will be back soon.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is our third visit toThis is our third visit to TriBeCa and it has always been very good. I love the eclectic menu, the desserts are awesome and they have a great wine list.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat scallops, pork and halibutRichard was a great waiter and very familiar with the menu. He made great suggestions for the entire table and describe all the dishes as if he was the chef. Wonderful evening for all of us. Comfortable seating, conversation easily heard, lovely interior.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe waiter was very attentive,The waiter was very attentive, even brought a sample of the soup to one of the diners. The meal was superb. A distinct dining experience4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMSounded great, tasted so-so.There were lots of very unique dishes, and new things to try... Unfortunately, most were relatively bland in flavor .
If you do go, skip the roasted marrow. It lacked flavor and portion, less than a teaspoon total of marrow . Barely enough for a mere taste.
The lamb shank was prepared very similar to a beef stew with tomato sauce, and tasted the same. The Alaskan halibut was over cooked. The reduction was boring in taste and had none of the citrus hints described by our waiter.
The Tuna tartar with caviar was very nice, well prepared and tasty. I enjoyed it a lot. And my octopus salad was very good, too. The main courses were not, however.
The service was very good, and they treated us very well. No complaints there.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding addition for ColleyvillNot a copycat restaurant. Ectlect menu of well prepaired dishes. Chef/owner has a true talent for lighting up the taster buds..Wait staff is cut above the usual . Menu prices are very fair for the quality of food and service received. Come hungry you will find the food portions larger than expected of restaurant of this caliber.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe really enjoyed the foodWe really enjoyed the food and atmosphere . Great fish dishes and nice wine list.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, excellent wineGreat food, excellent wine selection, not expensive.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience! The food was OUTSTANDING! We ordered 4 small bites, one salad, and two entrees, and we both loved all of it. Our waiter, Richard, was knowledgeable and very helpful. Everything came out warm, we never had more than one plate per person at a time, and we didn't have to wait a long time between courses. Dishes were cleared in a timely manner. Richard was always there when he needed to be, but was not overbearing. Can't wait to go again!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Good RestaurtantThe first thing you notice on the menu is the lack of potatoes, pasta and other starchy sides. Instead we notice many interesting vegetables and "ragouts" that are very refreshing to see on a DFW menu. The food is quite innovative all the way from our appetizer of crab cubes, which were all crab meat with a very good dipping sauce to the baked peach with jalapeno creme for desert. Our duck sliders and short ribs were perfectly prepared and the ambiance pleasantly fit the food and wine. We will return.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
