I brought him to my favorite place (aside from Louisiana) which is Las Vegas and we decided to go to Trevi. We were treated so well by the staff - the place is warm and inviting, and better yet, the food is 100% outstanding!! We chose to eat at Trevi because it was close to the show we were going to see. We went before our show time and planned to have a nice relaxing dinner. Waiter was very knowledgeable on the menu items, wine selection, and took our order quickly, but we felt that he wanted the experience to be "quick" rather than relaxing. We ordered our appetizers first and told him we would order our meal after our appetizers and we were happy we chose to do that as the appetizers arrived within minutes of ordering them so we didn't really have a lot of time to just "talk" and relax before the food came. I had the spaghetti and meatballs, and they were the best meatballs I've ever had. The portion size was just right. Between that and the bread they brought to the table, I was fat and happy by the end. Highly recommend it to anyone who likes Italian. Wonderful wait staff and management. We were delighted. Only one snag, with our Landry's "gift card"-turned out to be a voucher (had to use all $100 at a time), and complicated our bill. The realistic cloudy blue-sky ceiling slowly moves into a sunset glow and back again--beautiful fountain, wonderful food, and a nice wine list.
If you want a quieter, more intimate table, Trevi has indoor seating as well. The restaurant is incircled around the main center Roman fountain as you enter the mall from the main casino floor, great backdrop, but the water is a bit loud so you have to speak up a little for your friends to hear your converstation. The food is well presented and taste very fresh. The food portions are decent and the price, although a bit high, are understandable considering the view and location.
