I had plenty of time so it didn't bother me that my lunch took a while but I can imagine if I were in a hurry at all I would be a little annoyed. I was there with family and we had lovely wine and champagne and two courses so it took approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Again we were in no rush and I think our waitress was well aware of that so it was great. The wait staff is friendly, profession and observant of their guest's needs. Our server was able to make excellent recommendations for diners in our party that had trouble making up their mind. The presentation of each dish was wonderful. I myself had a pan roasted duck, which was cooked to perfection. I had the meat and cheese plate for an appetizer, which was delicious! my swordfish was also quite good. My husband and son both got the shrimp bisque, which they thought was good, but there should have been a larger portion. My son loved his pizza, which was a chicken pesto.My husband got the shrimp and scallop combination, which he found delicious.My son and I had gelato for dessert--the gelato was quite delicious and was a generous portion. According to the recording we would receive a return call. We never received the call. We called again and made reservations however when we arrived the reservations had not been booked. It was a beautifully decorated restaurant and the food was delicious - we all ordered pasta dishes which we thought appropriate given the type of restaurant. The Spaghetti Bolognese was superb as was the Tortelle (smaller raviolis) with mushrooms in a marsala sauce. I had sausage, fennel, and peas in a cream sauce with a twisted pasta. All were wonderful. We also had a meat and cheese type of antipasta appetizer which was just enough for four of us to give us a taste of everything on the platter. THe brocollini pizza could have been cooked a little longer since the middle where all the toppings were was a little soft. The blood orange gelato was fantastic. Not strongly orange flavored and very refreshing. Trevi 5 iced tea refreshing as well. Bright space with natural light. Could probably eat outside on warmer days. Aside from one screaming child, the night was incredible! Service was excellent - efficient and non-intrusive. Food was unique and delicious. Drinks are pricey but wonderful!!! Wide range of menu items and prices, so something for everyone. Portions are a bit hard to predict. One salad and one pizza would have been enough for 2 people. However, an entree of lobster ravioli, for example, was rather small. An entree of pasta bolognese, however was large. The cheese/meat tray was large. The gnocchi appetizer was small. Guess it's best to ask. Leftovers were quite welcome, either way! We had a reservation and we were seated immediately. They have a nice children's menu with plenty of choices for our picky eater. The choices for restaurant week were great. We all ordered something different. We live locally and go to Trevi 5 and will return. The wait staff was great!
