TrescaA fantastic night outMy husband and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary at Tresca. I can't say enough about what a wonderful, memorable night we had. The restaurant was beautiful, the food was amazing and the service...impeccable!! They really made our special memory perfect! While this was a very trying week for all of Boston the other venues were bustling that night. The food was spectacular and the service as good as I have ever seen in the North end. The ambiance on the second floor was spectacular. I have yet to come across a menu item that I or anyone at my table didn't like. This restaurant SHOULD have gotten 5 stars, however the night we went the restaurant was over booked for a function and we were stuck at a little side table behind the stairs on the noisy main level - even though I made reservations weeks in advance as we were celebrating my and my mothers birthdays! Our reservation was for 6:00 PM. They didn't skimp on anything. We sat at a table directly in front of a window that overlooked the sidewalk. As there were only two other people in the dining area it was very quiet and romantic. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The three courses were outstanding. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was suited for conversation while being busy enough to not feel like you were the only people in the restaurant. It was a last minute decision to have dinner in the North End and having recently moved to Boston we didn't know what a good selection would be. The management team greeted us upon arrival and directed us to their cozy bar for a drink because we were a little too early for our reservation. The drinks were delicious and the pours were generous.
Our table in the Dining room upstairs was dimly lit and had a very warm feeling about it. We were seated right next to the fire which only added more charm. The ambiance was fantastic. Our meals were incredible .the short ribs were fall off the bone incredible and a huge portion. Everyone at our table was impressed with the food.

We live right on Hanover St. so it was just a quick walk in freezing air last night.
