Tremont Restaurant NYCA gemDelicious and cosy (but not crowded). The staff is friendly and informed and the food is fantastic. Highly recommend.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I went to TremontMy wife and I went to Tremont to celebrate - what a great choice! We started with parsnip and carrot carpaccio, lobster gnocchi and scallops for our mains, and chocolate brownie and financier for dessert. All was absolutely delicious and memorable. Service was friendly and prompt. Will definetly be back, and sure to recommend!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMTremont -another word for ExcellentTremont has been my favorite restaurant since we happened upon it one snowy night in December 2011. Billy, the Owner, is so charming and inviting that he sets the pace for the whole experience. The Staff: Madison, Rebecca, Ryan -- like Billy -- create the vibe for your evening. If I could eat there every night, I would happily. Tremont is the best of NYC for the West Village experience, but it reminds me of favorite restaurants in Quebec, Barcelona, LA, Nantucket and St John USVI all rolled into one.
The food alone should be enough to keep you coming back, but it's the people, too, that make the experience memorable and cherished. Thanks, Billy, Madison, Rebecca, Ryan -- all of you! You rock!3/5/2013 12:00:00 AMCasual and comfortable neighborhoodCasual and comfortable neighborhood restaurant distinguished by extremely friendly and attentive service. Food was delicious without being pretentious - crab and lobster gnocchi particularly good. Portion sizes are generally enormous.2/26/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was very good has a niceFood was very good has a nice neighborhood feel about the place, the menu is compact and thats probably why the standard is high, could do with a few more options..
I thought that the food was priced fairly , but the drinks where overpriced....2/9/2013 12:00:00 AMI'd Become A Regular HereMy husband and I have only been to Tremont once as we don't live in NYC so my review won't be encyclopedic. We would go often if we did live in NYC. The ambiance is charming, lively and comfortable. The food is excellent, the service friendly and spot-on. It's not a fancy, "fine dining establishment" which is a good thing. Who wants a "fine dining" experience all the time? This is a place to become a regular. Definitely a neighborhood gem - a place to grab a bite and a glass of wine with friends on an ordinary day, to meet a date or to celebrate a special occasion. The dining room isn't large so I wouldn't try to bring a party larger than six here. There are so many options for dining in New York but we will make a point of returning here.1/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is one of my favoriteThis is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC.
