TrellisGreat food as usual!! We alwaysGreat food as usual!! We always ask ourselves why we don't come back to Trellis more often! We typically go on a weekend, but this time we ate out on Monday. It was a bit louder than normal - there were a few business dinners. We will definitely be back!5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAttack of the giant prawnsAt first glance it appeared the entrance would be from the street, but was actually inside the lobby of the Heathman. There were some lightly grilled halved scallions on the salad that were a nice addition and I felt it reinforced the fresh-from- the- nearby farm theme. Were much tastier that the usual sliced raw. The prawns in the pasta main course were the largest I have ever seen in a restaurant! Big as Yorkies! Portions were just right.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently goodWe come here often. We dined with friends last Thursday. There weren't many diners in the restaurant. One in our party raved about the sea food stew, and my pasta was perfect. The food is always well prepared and fresh. Holly's service was exceptional. Too bad the restaurant doesn't have it's own web page. Having only a small part of the Heathman's web page doesn't do it justice.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMFriendly and deliciousWe were pleasantly surprised at our first experience at Trellis. Our server was very attentive and friendly and so were our neighboring parties that flanked us against the wall. We all mentioned our envious we were of each other's dishes, shared some wine and chatted, which didn't bother our server at all. Our appetizers, sides and entrees were very good. The veggies were fresh and we were impressed with the overall experience at Trellis. We don't live close and it was part of a stay-cation on the Eastside (We are from W. Seattle) but we will definitely recommend Trellis to our friends.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMTrellis is good value as itTrellis is good value as it offers fixed price menus. The waiters are attentive and knowledgeable, which was necessary because some items on the menu were new to us, such as farro. The food was pretty good, but the choice of entrees had only two non-vegetarian options. We chose the trout which was obviously local and fresh, quite delicious. I don't usually have desert but the lemon and sage flan was light and just right. My companion enjoyed the cobbler.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love the 3 for $33 on SundaysWe love the 3 for $33 on Sundays and the 1/2 price bottles of wine. Good food and great service.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth a VisitThe Monday three course, prix fixe menu was very well done. In addition, the half price bottles of wine on Monday evening complimented the fine food.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was amazing, as usual. It was amazing, as usual. :) No complaints at all and they accommodated our late arriving guests with no hassle. The food was fabulous - loved the farm to table aspect - and our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great find!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is our neighborhood goThis is our neighborhood go to restaurant. They treat us like family here. It only took a couple of visit to be considered a regular to them. The food is outstanding, fresh and local. The price is higher, but the quality is there.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMTrellis continues to be theTrellis continues to be the best restaurant in Kirkland and one of the best in the Eastside. Food is amazing, service is impeccable and the staff is attentive without being overbearing, friendly, prompt, and graceful. There is an excellent selection of appetizers, entrees, side dishes, and deserts, an excellent wine list and a very nice selection of on-tap and bottled beers. What's even more, the prices are very reasonable. I've been here 20+ times and I've never been disappointed. You won't be either.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMpeanut butter cookies & mussels.Trellis is always a great experience. Service is just right – not wanting to be your best friend, but professional and perfectly timed. The food is exceptional; nothing on the menu is a disappointment and the presentation not overdone, reflecting a high level of care. Some of the tastes that could be boring are a real surprise and become favorites (tomato soup).
I could live on the mussels and the peanut butter cookies.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good food and excellentVery good food and excellent service, but you have to be careful as it can get very pricey. The wine list is pricey and we ended up spending $200 for 2 for 3 courses and a bottle of moderately priced wine.3/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
