this lunch was not as great as expected, the salmon was fishy, the soup was not hot, too much bread on the sandwich.

we went to the st. regis for thanksgiving dinner and frankly, we were disappointed w/ the food. it was a buffet and we were served smoked turkey that was very salty. the rest of the dinner was okay, but nothing to rave about. we had been to the st. regis many times before for lunches and always enjoyed the experience. it was also not worth $65.00 per person for our meal.

  • Olives Aspen in the St Regis
    OpenTable Diner Since 2005
    Dined on 12/24/2008
Olives Aspen in the St Regis hotel is easily the worst fine dining restaurant in Aspen. Start to finish our dining experience was entirely unacceptable. From the hostess who had trouble finding our reservation, to the intermittent service at the table, to the inexplicable delay in delivering our check at the end of the meal. By far, however, the worst part of our experience at Olives Aspen was the food. At its best, the food at Olives was on par with a low end, chain restaurant. Our two fish dishes, however, were tough, chewy, smelled fishy, tasted awful, and we didn’t finish either of them. Aspen is a diner’s paradise. Enjoy your stay in Aspen by staying away from Olives Aspen.
