It's the best in town! The gnocchi is pan seared to perfect and covered in the perfect amount of creamy Gorgonzola sauce. I've never experienced anything quite like it. Amazing!

We visited San Antonio last weekend; our group of 8. I was looking for someplace reasonably priced that would satisfy all our varying tastes, and that could confirm an early dinner reservation. We all loved the dishes we ordered. I had the pan toasted gnocchi and would highly recommend it. A great little find.

Overall, this was a disappointing experience. The menu looks great on paper but the food was uninspiring and ordinary, especially given the price. Parking is an issue at this location, as well. Will be surprised if this restaurant exists at this location one year from now.

We had recognized that choosing an Italian restaurant in the middle of the San Antonio Riverwalk area probably was not the right cuisine choice given the strong Mexican influence, and regrettably this caution proved true. We had indicated in the reservation that it was our son's thirteenth birthday. I do not expect anything other than an acknowledgment and well wishes, of which neither were received. The service was slow and non-attentive, and the food was mediocre, and given the price, not a well spent evening. They claim homemade pasta, yet it was primarily tasteless, and my wife's and son's pasta (spaghetti) arrived as a glued mass, and could not be easily separated to spin on a spoon. Regrettably disappointing.

My wife and I go here every time we visit San Antonio. The food is amazing, and staff is really attentive and friendly. The drinks are pricy for what you pay for, I recommend sticking to the much cheaper beer selection.

Had reservations, but told to wait for a dirty table to be cleaned. Baffling b/c there were clean tables. Part of the appeal of brunch is the $1 mimosas. The server said no Champagne for mimosas. Pretty sad since it was Father's Day. Ordered an app. to start w/, server disappeared for about 10-15 mins. For us to order entrees we asked another server to find him. Our water glasses sat empty. Fruit plate came out as a fruit parfait in error but was corrected. Had to ask for the bill & when I gave cash, said he had to go downstairs for change, which took another 10 mins. The service soured the whole experience. When paying $50, plus tips, there is a level of service that is deserved, this missed the mark.

I selected this restaurant from the web site for my Birthday. Perhaps we just went on a bad night, but they didn't have Italian Beer, there was no bread and even though our server said he would bring some he never did. The food was just fair. The service was not very good in spite of the fact that they were not busy!

Located in a historical building which I loved. Very charming. The service was a little slow and they forgot a few things. In all, the food was great. Had a great time and would go back. Our waiter/bartendar was very friendly. He even stepped outside when we were trying to get a cab and offered to get one for us. Really nice.

Upon arrival no one was at the reception station and we had to wait a while for someone to greet us. There seemed to be some confusion as to our seating arrangements and had to wait even more though the restaurant was pretty empty. When we finally were seated, not all our guests received menus, I had to go back up front to get more. It just got worse from here, some drink items on menu were not available, the kids plates came out 10 minutes after the adult main courses, and then we had no silverware to even begin eating. No one ever came to check on us. In the end, I ordered a coffee with dessert it was of course served to me after the dessert was finished and then it was presented to me in Styrofoam to go cup after I got the bill !

Dined here with a group of colleagues at the recommendation of our hotel bartender. EVERYthing we had was delicious. The waiter gave candid suggestions and knew the menu very well. The cauliflower ravioli was wonderful - silky smooth filling and creamy sauce. We shared a pizza as an apetizer (again the waiter's suggestion) and it was fantastic. I'd have happily eaten there several more times. Since it has pizza and pasta, it's good to go with vegetarians, which is nice. The atmosphere is sort of upscale/rustic; very pleasant, but the most outstanding feature was the food, which was just terrific.

I made a reservation for 9 via Open Table; when we arrived on time, the host tried to seat our party at a table that sat 6 comfortably. We were asked to wait for 10 minutes as the people were leaving to attend the Fiesta float parade. The server told us that he would be over to take our drink orders. After 30 minutes of waiting with no contact from anyone from the restaurant and several request for status, the party was escorted to a table that was had partial settings; 7 guests that tableware, 2 had no glasses. We received the items after several requests. I requested a visit from the manager; I was told he was busy. We received free appetizers (just delivered with no explaination) but not a visit from manager during our dinner.

Kitchen closed early at 7:30 pm Easter night but nobody told us that when we called to confirm our 8 pm reservation---closing time for the restaurant was supposed to be 10 pm. So the closed kitchen meant no hot bread and some entrees were not available. Servers were not happy to see us. Fiesta street closings made it difficult to get to the restaurant and to find parking. Maybe the restaurant should re-think their hours and then post them accurately on Open Table so that patrons are not disappointed!

Found this excellent Italian restaurant while staying on San Antonio Riverwalk. Went with my wife and 10/11 years daughters. Food excellent and service very good. While no kids menu they would make any kid friendly pasta dish you'd like. It was a block off the riverwalk and a nice break from the hectic riverwalk scene.

Made the reservation here and they sat us at a high top new the bathroom. Not a good start. Part of the Fairmont Hotel. Very attractive from the street view. Actually a nice looking place with a good bar. The pizza was very good. Wine selection average but decently priced. The Wagyu Meatbals with Spag were OK but nothing special They were out of the fish of the day??? Can't add a fish? Just too many good restaurants in San Antonio. Next time I pass on this one.

A very unimpressive entrance in an historic hotel a little away from the center of San Antonio activity, this was a real find. Invited 14 business associates and my BW for a Monday night gathering and the place was packed. Excellent taste of Italy from the Tuscany region. The Trout was amazing and more than you can eat, Cudo's to the Pasta's and Rissoto. Tuscan Steak got great reviews from my BW. Ably served by Alex and Peter considering the busy night. This was stop #3 on our food tour. The room is sparcely decorated and has the potential to be loud; it was not. Served by the bartender, the service was attentive. The hand-pulled Mozzarella and house made Proscuitto and Soppressetta were delicious. They have a nice wine list and a full bar, Heidi loved the Martinis. The pasta in the Pappardelle Bolognese was crazy long but, the sauce was luscious: best bite of the night! The Grilled Crispy Skin Rainbow Trout came on a platter and was a ridiculously huge portion; it could have fed 3 people easily! The fish was crisp and the Caponeta tangy! The Pasta Oglio Olio was a bit disappointing. At first, way too salty; it improved through the meal but, was still my least favorite of the night. Visit!

We usually go to the Tre Trattoria on Broadway, but decided to try the downtown location this time. The atmosphere is similar, with some small changes to the menu. My wife had the roasted tomato caprese with home made mozzarella (always a favorite!) and I had the white bean soup (very good as well). We split a pork chop entree, which is one of the differences from Broadway, and the Tuscan ribeye; both were cooked perfectly. We even had enough to take home for lunch :-) .. If you like polenta, I would highly recommend getting the side, and it's also big enough to share. Finally, Nutella X3. I'm not even sure if they have any other desserts! Great meal, service and a nice evening at the Riverwalk..

We were visiting San Antonio and this restaurant was near the Marriott where we stayed. Walking by one afternoon and Peter came out and said, Ladies, you need to come in! We have great food at reasonable prices as we are not on the River Walk. Well the next night we came in. Alex served us and was amazing! It was so good we came back the next night! Had the mozzarella appetizer both nights. What's not to love! And the goat cheese wood fired pizza - YUM! And their pastas are home made. Had the cauliflower one night and the tagliatelle the next night. You won't be disappointed! Be prepared that your drinks can cost more than your food bill! We would definitely return if we are in San Antonio. Thanks! :)

On a recent trip to San Antonio, we did not care for the touristy feel of the River Walk and really had no suggestions for dinner our first evening after traveling to S.A.. Used the OT app to find something not too pricey but not a chain either. Brandon was very knowledgable about the special offerings. We started with a "market priced" salad-it was delicious! Radicchio, basil, melon, croutons and fresh made buffalo mozzarella with olive oil, salt & pepper, red wine vinegrette...the sweet melon and a bit of fragrant basil with slightly peppery bitter radicchio with the crunch of a crispy crouton slightly saturated with olive oil and vinegrette, topped with creamy mozzarella was a wake up for my taste buds I had not had in a long while!

we had reservations for saturday night after valentine's day...a bit of a shock to see that there were a few tables empty where we were seated, which had me concerned. we had the caprese, bruschetta, tenderloin pizza, gnocchi with gorgonzola, and polenta...all were delicious, not oversalted, seasoned just right. soon, all the tables around us were filled. we were so full there was no space for dessert, if you're wondering if the portions are small. they are not. i will definitely come back to try the other items on the menu. the prime area to be seated is near the front of the restaurant by the windows. they could probably do something to enhance the back area where we were seated...it was just a giant mirror and that was about it.

This is a good restaurant, but not great. The flavors a good, but the proportions are small. If you don't need a steak and potato to fill you up, then this place will suffice. They have a nice staff and the ambiance is nice. Their bar is actually a pretty good layout and good for a group of 4-6 people to still interact and not feel spread out. It isn't a loud place, even when the bar is full. Big bonus is that there is complementary valet parking. Good location just between downtown and South Town, so lots of after dinner options.

I was trying to find a new spot this Valentine's bcause we've done almost every other hot spot in SA. Service was awesome, nice romantic setting on one side of the restaurant, more of a lunch time vibe to the front. We asked to be moved to one of the three empty tables by the window and were denied :-(. Ok whatever, on with the food im hungry. Food was delicous, just not enough of it. We had a four course meal and walked away still hungry. My main course had TWO medium sized scallops that were placed on the plate by an artist, beautiful presentation. Drinks were mediocre at best. We both agreed, for $220 bucks we could have had a meal as good or better for half that at other restaurants we patron.

In San Antonio for a business meeting. There were two of us that went to Tre Trattoria and it was great. Everything from the service to the food was fantastic. Will stop again on my next visit.
