  • "Great vintage building and place had a good neighborhood bistro vibe."

  • "Previous comments were spot on - the crispy trout and pulled mozzarela were dishes not to be missed. My colleague asked for an individually design pizza that was with grilled shrimp and some of their wonderfule lemon recotta (four cheeses) - it was out of this world! Great for business client!"

  • "The food is wonderful! Complex, surprising flavors and ingredients that are fresh, fresh, fresh. The server was knowledgeable and attentive, but didn't hover. I recommend it for couples and small groups and will return soon myself."

  • "Found this excellent Italian restaurant while staying on San Antonio Riverwalk. Went with my wife and 10/11 years daughters. Food excellent and service very good. While no kids menu they would make any kid friendly pasta dish you'd like. It was a block off the riverwalk and a nice break from the hectic riverwalk scene."

  • "Made the reservation here and they sat us at a high top new the bathroom. Not a good start. Part of the Fairmont Hotel. Very attractive from the street view. Actually a nice looking place with a good bar. The pizza was very good. Wine selection average but decently priced. The Wagyu Meatbals with Spag were OK but nothing special They were out of the fish of the day??? Can't add a fish? Just too many good restaurants in San Antonio. Next time I pass on this one."

  • "A very unimpressive entrance in an historic hotel a little away from the center of San Antonio activity, this was a real find. Invited 14 business associates and my BW for a Monday night gathering and the place was packed. Excellent taste of Italy from the Tuscany region. The Trout was amazing and more than you can eat, Cudo's to the Pasta's and Rissoto. Tuscan Steak got great reviews from my BW. Ably served by Alex and Peter considering the busy night. Seek and you shall find !!"

  • "Great find with authentic Italian dishes made with a flair. Not the usual fare.... great to try something new here! Nice views, great staff. Excellent drinks!"

  • "Great for Sunday brunch! I duck hash dish - delicious. Fried chicken with waffles is another favorite!"

  • "This was stop #3 on our food tour. The room is sparcely decorated and has the potential to be loud; it was not. Served by the bartender, the service was attentive. The hand-pulled Mozzarella and house made Proscuitto and Soppressetta were delicious. They have a nice wine list and a full bar, Heidi loved the Martinis. The pasta in the Pappardelle Bolognese was crazy long but, the sauce was luscious: best bite of the night! The Grilled Crispy Skin Rainbow Trout came on a platter and was a ridiculously huge portion; it could have fed 3 people easily! The fish was crisp and the Caponeta tangy! The Pasta Oglio Olio was a bit disappointing. At first, way too salty; it improved through the meal but, was still my least favorite of the night. Visit!"

  • "Had to come back the next night because it was so good! Wish someone in Colorado could fix that pulled mozzarella like you did. Olive oil, sea salt, pepper, tasty bread. YUM! Homemade pastas were tasty. We had great service from Alex. Thanks for a wonderful second evening experience! :)"

  • "We were visiting San Antonio and this restaurant was near the Marriott where we stayed. Walking by one afternoon and Peter came out and said, Ladies, you need to come in! We have great food at reasonable prices as we are not on the River Walk. Well the next night we came in. Alex served us and was amazing! It was so good we came back the next night! Had the mozzarella appetizer both nights. What's not to love! And the goat cheese wood fired pizza - YUM! And their pastas are home made. Had the cauliflower one night and the tagliatelle the next night. You won't be disappointed! Be prepared that your drinks can cost more than your food bill! We would definitely return if we are in San Antonio. Thanks! :)"

  • "We usually go to the Tre Trattoria on Broadway, but decided to try the downtown location this time. The atmosphere is similar, with some small changes to the menu. My wife had the roasted tomato caprese with home made mozzarella (always a favorite!) and I had the white bean soup (very good as well). We split a pork chop entree, which is one of the differences from Broadway, and the Tuscan ribeye; both were cooked perfectly. We even had enough to take home for lunch :-) .. If you like polenta, I would highly recommend getting the side, and it's also big enough to share. Finally, Nutella X3. I'm not even sure if they have any other desserts! Great meal, service and a nice evening at the Riverwalk.."

  • "This is a Jason Dady restaurant and it's a winner. The food was excellent. We went for brunch and did a breakfast pizza in addition to other menu options. Loved the specially-priced mimosa drinks. It was a treat."

  • "The food is fantastic, traditional invaluable dishes mixed with new and exciting creations by the chef. Definitely try the hand pulled mozzarella appetizer!"

  • "On a recent trip to San Antonio, we did not care for the touristy feel of the River Walk and really had no suggestions for dinner our first evening after traveling to S.A.. Used the OT app to find something not too pricey but not a chain either. Brandon was very knowledgable about the special offerings. We started with a "market priced" salad-it was delicious! Radicchio, basil, melon, croutons and fresh made buffalo mozzarella with olive oil, salt & pepper, red wine vinegrette...the sweet melon and a bit of fragrant basil with slightly peppery bitter radicchio with the crunch of a crispy crouton slightly saturated with olive oil and vinegrette, topped with creamy mozzarella was a wake up for my taste buds I had not had in a long while!"

  • "This is a good restaurant, but not great. The flavors a good, but the proportions are small. If you don't need a steak and potato to fill you up, then this place will suffice. They have a nice staff and the ambiance is nice. Their bar is actually a pretty good layout and good for a group of 4-6 people to still interact and not feel spread out. It isn't a loud place, even when the bar is full. Big bonus is that there is complementary valet parking. Good location just between downtown and South Town, so lots of after dinner options."

  • "we had reservations for saturday night after valentine's day...a bit of a shock to see that there were a few tables empty where we were seated, which had me concerned. we had the caprese, bruschetta, tenderloin pizza, gnocchi with gorgonzola, and polenta...all were delicious, not oversalted, seasoned just right. soon, all the tables around us were filled. we were so full there was no space for dessert, if you're wondering if the portions are small. they are not. i will definitely come back to try the other items on the menu. the prime area to be seated is near the front of the restaurant by the windows. they could probably do something to enhance the back area where we were seated...it was just a giant mirror and that was about it."

  • "I was trying to find a new spot this Valentine's bcause we've done almost every other hot spot in SA. Service was awesome, nice romantic setting on one side of the restaurant, more of a lunch time vibe to the front. We asked to be moved to one of the three empty tables by the window and were denied :-(. Ok whatever, on with the food im hungry. Food was delicous, just not enough of it. We had a four course meal and walked away still hungry. My main course had TWO medium sized scallops that were placed on the plate by an artist, beautiful presentation. Drinks were mediocre at best. We both agreed, for $220 bucks we could have had a meal as good or better for half that at other restaurants we patron."

  • "Stumbled onto this restaurant on Open Table while at a convention in San Antonio. It is all the way around fantastic. Across from the Convention Center and Hemisphere Park in a historical hotel. Was looking for a good place with fast service for a group lunch. We ended up going there for dinner the evening before the group just to check it out and had our waiter, Robbie, order for us....the best idea ever. The food was excellent and the service superb....a true find. Also, got rave reviews from my lunch group of 15 people the next day. Would definitely recommend for individual dining or for groups while in San Antonio."

  • "We were in San Antonio for the marathon and wanted an Italian restaurant the night before. We chose this one based on reviews from Urban Spoon and Trip Advisor. They did not disappoint. Great everything!"

  • "I have used this location several times for personal business lunch meetings where I want to meet with associates to work out unique solutions to business problems over lunch. The restaurant, service and food are very conducive to have a relaxed atmosphere for creative discussions and the wait staff is both respectful of our business while being attentive to our dining needs. I like it and will return soon."

  • "Cioppino special was flavorful, but request for two bowls for sharing fell on deaf ears. Special pizza of the night with "lemon" in the cheese was overwhelmed by lemon flavor. Probably would have been very good if they had left off the lemon. Better than average for a hotel restaurant."

  • "The wine list is a bait and switch. None of the wines we were interested in were the vintages they had. You would only know this if you were paying attention when the wine is brought over. The server apologized and was equally flustered. When the manager was brought over she was neither apologetic nor empathic to our problem. I brought to her attention that the substituted vintage, two years younger, was considerably less expensive than the one proffered to which she explained that the price for the wine is always the same regardless of the vintage. I guess it's safe to say that they don't really have a wine program. Our server tried her best to recover the situation caused by her manager. She was great."

  • "Very convenient to the Convention Center (across the street), but food was marginal. Pizza and house made mozzarella were good. Rest of the meal, around our whole table, was less than good. Pasta dishes were mediocre. The meal was at a reasonable price, but unless the plan was just for some pizza and drinks, probably would not go back. Other reviews labelling this restaurant as noisy, were an understatement. Very difficult to carry a conversation even with those at your table."

  • "First time at this restaurant, we can't wait to return. We were immediately seated by our server, Jared. Service was quick, but not rushed. The menu did not have the common Italian dishes. The dishes we had were served at the appropriate temperature, no one flavor overbearing. Water and bread was plentiful, since we only drank water. The chef prepared a special dessert, not on the menu, a sweet potato crostata topped with ice cream which was surprisingly delicious. We sat overlooking the riverwalk. The only negative for first timers was the parking. We didn't know where to park and ended up paying for parking, but then told we could park in hotel parking at no cost. A wonderful meal for a reasonable price."
