A word from Tre Dici
"Chelsea's best kept secret..."

An unexpected find on a busy Chelsea block, this bi-level gem offers killer Italian fare with seasonal ingenuity in a modern and attractive space overseen by a spot on staff. And the upstairs, speakeasy/bordello-like quarters serves up impressive red meats and pastas in an atmosphere rivaling that of the 1930's. Either way, a sexy vibe and genial staff make either floor a perfect date pick. Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "TreDici is a gem and a great meeting spot for that special occasion, connecting with friends etc. the staff is friendly and efficient, and the food is Outstanding."

  • "As visitors, found this little gem using yelp. They were gracious about a split meal, no wine. Recommended the roasted artichoke salad and lobster pasta. The ambience in this restaurant calming, dark grays, whit and contemporary lighting. tables not too close together, bar slightly separated by a divider...next time in nyc, will return.."

  • "Tre Dici is small, but great ambience, and their food is amazing! Tuna Tartar has a great balance of flavor, style, and presentation. Their cowboy ribeye was rich in flavor, juicy, and tender! I could smell it coming towards me from the back!"

  • "The angry lobster made me smile, presentation was great and it had amazing flavor. Loved all the subtle flavors present in the Tagliatelle. We had the Chilean Sea Bass, Salmon and Veal T Bone entrees. Loved the refreshing cucumber salad with the Salmon, and while the veal was tender and tasty, my favorite dish was the Chilean Sea Bass with the corn salsa. The perfect ending was the delicious Crepe Cake Service was friendly and well timed. Will definitely return sooner than later."

  • "Overall disappointing. The pasta with crab and jalapeño was flavorless. The pasta with shrimp and pesto was average at best. The winner of the entrees was the sea bass. Would not go back."

  • "I wen here for a business lunch. Everyone at the table really enjoyed the food from the inside out meatballs to the delicious entrees and desserts. I would definitely go back and recommend to friends."

  • "In the city for just one night and this place is memorable - part of a great romantic evening! Last minute decision based on location to our hotel and reviews online. Knew it was going to be loud and close tables, but OH BOY - we got lucky! We were immediately seated in a cute little booth next to the bar. The high walls gave us some privacy and allowed us to avoid the noise. We shared several plates with healthy pours of pinot noir. Ate the tomato, blue cheese app, Kobe beef ravioli & Chilean Sea Bass. Super YUM! Colleen was our waitress - super friendly, helpful and patient as we took our time selecting our food and enjoying the evening. GREAT MEAL! Just the right amount of food. All waitstaff attentive and available."

  • "Good menu and flavorful food. The service was nice and attentive. The place is small but noisy from conversation not music. I'd return."

  • "Fabulous find in Chelsea - small, intimate restaurant w/5 star service and mouth-watering food - the stuffed meatball appetizer is a must - u will never taste anything as like it - we will definitely be back! One of the best finds in NYC."

  • "Started off with being very frustrated that our reservation was not honored at the time we made it for. They obviously overbooked the restaurant. It might have been a nice gesture for the manager to offer us a complimentary drink. After we were seated, we had a wonderful experience. The kobe ravioli, the meatballs, and the lobster were wonderful. Amazing to be able to get a 1 pound lobster for 18.00. We had the chicken which was one of the best in Manhattan and very large portion. We also ordered the sea bass, which was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. Hopefully the long delay in seating us was a one time incident. I will try going back again."

  • "The food, service and overall experience was very good. The only recommendation is the wine list could be more extensive "
    Dined on 5/12/2014
  • "It seemed to be a whole lot noisier than the last time I had lunch there - we strained to hear each other over a little table not more than 30" x 30". All hard surfaces and nothing to break up the sound. if you want to hear each other, I guess you have to sit up front. The food is fine though also a little higher priced than my last visit."

  • "We had a great experience. Food was very good and the service was excellent. We were able to get a reservation at a reasonable time with short notice."

  • "Ist time at this restaurant in Chelsea. did not go to their steakhouse, but ate downstairs in the very modern look. The food at grat value is where they excel! Cracked lobster appetizer a 1lb lobster for $18. Main course was veal parmegianna , outstanding for 2 people with great side vegetables."

  • "There service was great, everyone was nice and they are well trained. But food wasn't. I tried Kobe beef ravioli and hunger stake. It possible that it wasn't my type of flavor, but flavor was so strong and I couldn't enjoy it."

  • "We're never disappointed at this cozy spot in Chelsea, with an ever tempting menu and interestingly delicious specials every visit. A great little bar, a reasonably priced wine list, both round out what is always a pleasant evening topped off with efficient, friendly service. We've become, and always will be loyal regulars!!"

  • "We chose this restaurant for it's location to the UCB Theater. It is a short walk away. Although a bit overseasoned, the food was good, as was the service. "

  • "The menu is not very long, but everything is really nice. The service was good. Would highly recommend this place."

  • "I love the food at Tre Dici - I have brought customers there many times and sent out of town colleagues as well. I must say that the young men who are now serving are much more pleasant than the young women who were there before. They are friendly and attentive. The tuna tartare is the BEST and the Chilean Sea Bass was amazing. The crepe cake is amazing - suggest the chef have a great caramel on sauce on top! I will look forward to my next visit. "

  • "Noise level is based on screaming infant that dined in the restuarant at 10:45pm at night.. go figure... this would have been perfect except for the toddler and screaming child that changed the vibe immediately."

  • "This restaurant is a find! My salmon dish was fantastic and my husband raved about his shrimp scampi. Both were prepared in an unusual and extraordinary way. Don't miss the dessert martinis. I had the cookies and cream one and it was fabulous."

  • "Tre Dicii is small and intimate, with fun, contemporary ambience. The menu selections are creative and interesting, and the food is delicious. The seafood was very fresh, and the shrimp scampi had a generous six plump shrimp. The striped bass special was wonderful. The wine list is limited and unexciting, but adequate. The gavi was quite nice with the fish. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall good value for the money, and a very enjoyable evening."

  • "I met my mother here for lunch and we had the most lovely time ! The menu had a lot to choose from and we both loved our choices. The staff created a very nice calm vibe for lunch and there was no pressure to leave when we were finished. We had a lot to talk about ! I will look forward to going back again!"

  • "The Kobe beef ravioli is great, as is the pear salad. Also enjoyed the bread and the butter provided."

  • "It's a very cozy and comfortable space. While I thought it was noisy at first, in fact I didn't have any trouble conversing with my fellow diners. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly liked everything about this restaurant except for one thing. The lighting that comes from the kitchen spills out into the low light of the restaurant in a distracting way. If they could figure out some way to block that light, it would up the ambience quotient significantly."

  • "My 1st visit. This is a little jewel. Very N2c decor, greys, blacks, calming, urban. Just perfect, intimate. Katie was our server supreme! The drink I ordered didn't match my expectation & she switched it out in a blink. Water glass refilled often. Bread basket is their secret weapon! OMG! Out of control little cheese balls & other bread treats PLUS Fresh butter too. How do U spell spoil me? Varied menu makes it easy 2 please many palettes. My kale salad was enough for 2 & wonderful as was my branzino fish, delicious. My friend's baked pasta was too salty 4 me but she loved it. Very big portion. Wonderful house red wine. Great cappuccino. Very fairly priced. Service supreme. Katie's great! Can't wait 2 bring more friends back to Tre Dici."

  • "Had good meal here but evening somewhat marred by fact that most of the restaurant taken up by very noisy birthday party. If restaurants are going to allocate more than 50% of the space to one group they should warn fellow diners when they book."
