The Traymore Restaurant & Bar, in the Metropolitan by COMO, Miami Beach, is a contemporary seafood restaurant, displaying an array of International and American dishes. Native creations include seasonal dishes with fresh ingredients harvested from Florida–presented in a simple, rustic style by Executive Chef Jonathan Lane with exceptional service by the team of Restaurant Manager, Sergio Caceres. French and Portuguese inspired desserts by Master Chocolatier, Chef Emmanuel Alves, are based around seasonal, Floridian tropical fruits.

The Traymore also features the company’s signature COMO Shambhala Cuisine. Developed by COMO’s Executive Chef, Amanda Gale, the menu promotes better health through nutritional eating, focusing on the use of raw foods. The Traymore Bar offers a premium gin array from 40 distillers around the world. The bar staff has created a series of classic and signature gin-based cocktails and are well versed in pouring the perfect Gin & Tonic.

  • "Getting a reservation before 9pm was not a problem on Open Table on a Friday night- so the place isn't quite discovered yet. Food was very fresh... seafood their specialty (only one beef dish on the menu so be aware). Shrimp starter was excellent. I also had the fish special which was a filet of sole (I think?) with Kale and a white sauce- also very good. Side of Brussel Sprouts was excellent. Location is nice if you want to get away from the Lincoln Road and South Beach madness... you are right on the edge so close enough if you want to walk there afterwards. Ambiance is good. Well decorated hotel restaurant and bar. On the quiet side which is what we were looking for."

  • "The restaurant is part of the nicely renovated Como hotel but the restaurant lacks atmosphere - no paintings on the wall, basically a big plain room, no dividers, plants. We sat on the corner couch by the window. The couch is not made to be for extended seating. No back support and you sink in quite deep. The service was friendly but passive - no explanation about the food concept, or recommendations. We had a vegetarian in our party who ordered basic pasta with Alfredo sauce. This dish was delayed and was served when everyone else already finished. All other food items were excellent, nice presentation . Dessert (raspberry cheese cake) was too firm and the overwhelming taste were the nuts."

  • "Great new hotel restaurant right on Collins but off the beaten path. Interesting menu, well prepared and presented dishes. Beautiful dining room with great ambience and attentive service although bar was a bit slow. Be sure to try the squid ink risotto and the grilled octopus, as well as the surprisingly tender char grilled bavette, but skip the tasteless organic?? cheesecake and save the calories for the petit fours. As can be expected, not cheap ($100-$125 per person with cocktails and wine) but a welcome addition to the Miami food scene. Not yet a hot spot but definitely has the potential to be....get there before it's discovered."

  • "The chef came out and introduced himself which was great. Room was very pretty. The hotel is easily missed as it sits back from the street. It is small and not easily recognizable, unless you're looking up. On TOP of the building is a large sign that reads "TRAYMORE", but unless you're looking up, it's easily missed. There is nothing ground level identifying the hotel, but once you find it, you'll love the restaurant!"

Traymore is all about the food first, then wonderful service and impeccable decor. One more positive for the Traymore - no scene. No pompous, loud, tacky diners hoping to be seen. The dining room is quiet and serene. I highly recommend it for a romantic night out. "

  • "We were greeted by the Hotel's operations manager, who is charming and hospitable. The hotel has a low key and comfortable atmosphere. The service was impeccable. Every person we met was friendly and eager to make our experience a top experience. The bread was excellent. I had the seafood stew, a savory mix of fish and shellfish over grilled bread. Thumbs up!! At the suggestion of my server, it was accompanied by an excellent dry white wine. The passion fruit dessert is light, different and exciting. This place is a gem. I'll definitely be back."

  • "This was a good meal with potential to be great. Some misses. Definitely skip the corn soup unless they change it drastically to include some interesting texture, spices and salt. There was no salt or pepper on the table so nothing to do. The fish stew is outstanding. The deserts also. Good ambience, noise level pleasant, service very good and interested. "

  • "The second you walk in every one is welcoming. Went on a slow Monday Night but the ambiance has an open air relaxed feeling that it didn't matter. The back room to the left has an intimate feel. Our Server was Brian, who is a head waiter. I was really impressed on how well he knew every detail on the menu. He gave great suggestions & I could tell he's proud to work there. Honestly when I was his age I couldn't care less about anything. He cared so much for our experience that it made the world of a difference. Had the Black Squid Ink Risotto- amazing, Tuna Tartar - Perfect, the poached Halibut - loved it (light), & blood orange/chocolate dessert. Heavenly! Go there, You won't be sorry. Top 3 restaurants in Sobe."
