Trattoria No. 10The food and service haveThe food and service have been great every time I have eaten here. Generally I have been here for lunch, but just enjoyed dinner. The waiter was well informed and answered our questions about a couple of wines and we enjoyed his recommendation.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLived up to recommendationI chose Trattoria No. 10 for an important client dinner on the recommendation of a friend and couldn't have been happier. Our server was very attentive and had great recommendations for food and wine without being pushy. The atmosphere was formal but not sterile. The food was fantastic, all 4 diners had different dishes and were all very happy.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Downtown RestaurantWe have eaten at Trattoria No. 10 many times and the food has been consistently good. Great for business lunches as well as romantic dinners. Our recent visit was for a business lunch and the out of town guests were impressed with the food. The service was excellent. Our server was polite and attentive but not intrusive. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any high end meal.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful location near theatreWonderful location near theatre near Art Museum and theaters.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMUne tres bonne cuisine italienneUne tres bonne cuisine italienne dans un cadre chaleureux!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMT10Food excellent, service personable. My daughter and I were there for dinner, again, on Saturday, May 11, when we were in Chicago for a "girl's weekend". My husband always jokes that we go to a city like Chicago, with so many new restaurants that we haven't tried yet, and still - on most trips to Chicago - Trattoria No. 10 is a definite stop. Love the ravioli (especially the one with asparagus) and the pasta dishes. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great place to dine in the windy city.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMNo. 10 never disappoints!Delicious "before-theatre" dining experience in charming Italian atmosphere! Highly recommended.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMworth itWe enjoyed our first meal here some years ago, and were more than happy with the second one. It is fine dining that is worth the price.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful for pretheater dining! We had a delightful dinner at Trattoria No. 10 before our tickets to the Goodman theater, just two short blocks away. The food was excellent, and it was nice to know that the kitchen is striving to be "green." Our server, Tammy, was knowledgeable and personable without being intrusive. The valet parking included dinner and the show for a reasonable price and we came back after our play to find some wrapped chocolate sticks and a thank you message from the executive chef, Laura Piper, on our dashboard. Truly a stellar dining experience!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding! On the recommendation of some friends we went to "T-10" for dinner before attending a show in downtown Chicago. The sautéed calamari is an absolute must try, and the ravioli (she with asparagus, he with spicy sausage and arrabiata sauce) was expertly prepared and presented. We got the small plates along with salads that provided the perfect meals. The experience ended with the tiramisu...amazing!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMOur fish and seafood wereOur fish and seafood were fantastic. Food was excellent, and they were very accommodating and celiac friendly. Tried a grilled caesar salad, in which they lightly charred the lettuce prior to composition. Tried it at home the next night - not the same. Great ambience, and lovely selection of dishes. Will be back.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWent here before a musical.Went here before a musical. The food was outstanding. I had trouble deciding what to order because everything looked so good. The server helped me decide and I was thrilled with my selection of polenta and homemade raviolis. I would definitely return, and not just because it is a one block walk to the theater. Everything was outstanding.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMPre-theatre diningGreat for pre-theatre dining. Easy walk to Bank of America Theatre. You can valet park for dinner and pick up your car after the show. Quite convenient.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMA consistent stand byPerfect spot for business or social lunch and dinners. Ambiance adds to the enjoyment. My only criticism is that the menu needs to be refreshed and can be boring with repetitive visits.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMMagnificent, as always! The ambience isn't much to speak of since it's in the basement. Nevertheless, it is still a pleasant, vibrant atmosphere.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMTrattoria No. 10This is a great restaurant in the Loop! The food is always great! The service is attentive! The waiter recommended a appetizer. It was amazing. One of the best ever! we also each had entrees and martins. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. We often go there before the theatre and the valet will keep you car until the play is over. This time there was a treat from the chef, Laura Piper, in the car when we returned, a sweet and appreciated bonus!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect pre-theater choiceExcellent food and our knowledgeable server made this a perfect pre-theater dinner choice. The convenience of leaving your car with the valet during the show is a bonus.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWell-prepared dishes withWell-prepared dishes with attentive and efficient service. Wonderful place to have dinner, especially before theater events. A bit pricey, though.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMI went to Trattoria No.10I went to Trattoria No.10 with a friend before going to a play. We were greeted warmly and offered a coat check promptly as we came in from a pouring rain. Our table was great for seeing the entire restaurant. Water and bread came quickly too. When we mentioned to the waiter that we were going to a play, he (Mario) responded with pleasant and prompt service. He also gave us suggestions for appetizers, pasta and second course that were absolutely delicious. Both my friend and I had a wonderful dining experience and would highly recommend Trattoria No.10 to anyone!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMTrattoria No. 10 - One of the bestTrattoria No. 10 is the best. They have the best ravioli in the world. Their mushroom soup is also outstanding. We also love the bartender. He makes the best Amaretto Stone Sours in the Chicago area. Our server, Laura, was outstanding. She really anticipates what you need and want. We love this place and always go there on our special occasions.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a large group withWe had a large group with varying tastes but the server was able to help each person select a menu item that suited each person.
The pasta items are quite good. I really appreciated the fact that they carried unique Italian beers, not the usuals that other Italian restaurants serve.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMKatbick reviewsGreat! Had a wonderful meal, the sausage ravioli was fantastic, light pasta shell with a very taste red sauce. The farfalla pasta with the duck confiet was rich and very flavorful. Great spot in Chicago for a great meal4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMsuperb fresh menu and winesuperb fresh menu and wine list.. Not to be missed for real Italian food.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe perfect place to eat beforeThe perfect place to eat before theatre or anytime. The wait staff is outstanding and the food is to die for. Have NEVER had a bad experience at this wonderful restaurant.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was outstanding. The food was outstanding. We order the squash ravioli as an appetizer and it was amazing. The mushroom crostinis were also excellent. All of our food was very good but we felt the portions were a bit small for the prices.
Good place to go before the theatre because of the location.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMYou must try the RavioliHouse specialties are great(ravioli). Pork tenderloin was nicely prepared and presented but portions a bit skimpy (and I'm not a big eater). Same issue with garden salad. Lettuce and most greens are fairly inexpensive. Wine by the glass not fairly priced IMO. All-in-all a good experience and will return.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I went to TrattoriaMy husband and I went to Trattoria No. 10 before heading to see "Book of Mormon" on a Thursday night. Curtain time was at 7:30PM so we decided to make reservations for 5:45. Our server was excellent. She had a great knowledge of the menu and got our food out promptly. Our meals were tasty: we each had a salad and an entree. I was happy that I could get a 1/2 order of pasta. It was the perfect amount of food and really delicious. I'd recommend it.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGet the right tableSelected for dinner with representative from Montana State, and we were pleasantly pleased with the result. The first table they sat us at was in the back of the restaurant next to an ugly door. We quickly asked to be reseated in a more central location which happened immediately. Wine was excellent but pricey. Dinner selections were limited, but right food for us. I had the caesar salad and would NOT recommend it to anyone. The other salads ordered were great and made me jealous of my poor selection. The ravioli plates were wonderful. Our guest had the free range veil dish and was also pleased with her dinner. Early dinner is mostly for the theater crowd and the restaurant quickly emptied at 7PM, but started to fill up again.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is not my first experienceThis is not my first experience with Trattoria No. 10. I love it for before theater dining. There are no faults to find with this wonderful restaurant. I'll be back again.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, great serviceGreat food, great service and great location for those attending plays/shows. Great valet parking service which accommodates those attending a theater offering after dinner all at a very reasonable price. Will certainly return again and have recommended to family and friends.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGood choice for dinner beforeGood choice for dinner before a Goodman performance. Lovely mushroom, duck confit, and asparagus farfalle - it's been on the menu forever and remains a favorite even after many years. Prosciutto appetizer was a fresh, bright take, with a garnish of fig, cucumber & mint, making something special out of standard fare. Nicely made elderflower and gin cocktails too. As a bonus, there is a convenient combined valet parking rate of $14 for dinner and the show.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe thoroughly enjoyed ourWe thoroughly enjoyed our pre-theatre dinner...wonderful food, service and ambiance. Location can't be beat.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTrattoria No. 10: Don't miss it.Outstanding, updated Italian food in a casual, comfortable environment. The arugula-based Radish and Orange salad is an absolute delight. Ravioli are encased in delightfully thin pasta that lets the flavor shine. Scallops served on delicately (but) extraordinarily flavorful bed of orzo with rapini, mascarpone and truffle-butter sauce were outstanding. Does this sound like high praise? It should. It's a wonderful experience.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place to dine in the "Loop"!2 of had dinner the other night and it was a wonderful evening. Service was outstanding: friendly, efficient, helpful, and attentive without being intrusive. (Thsnks, Lorenzo!) We split a beet salad to start and 2 scoops of pistachio ice cream to finish, and as our main course we both selected the scallops -- what a delicious choice! I don't recall ever having more delicious scallops. Trattoria 10 is a great place to eat before going to a show in the Chicago Loop area ("Book of Mormon" is a 5-minute walk away), and reservations are recommended. We arrived just as the theater crowd started leaving and had dinner at a nice leisurely place. Restaurant decor is very attractive. At $12 the valet parking is a bargain value for downtown.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waiter Steven was great! Our waiter Steven was great! His recommendations were spot on and the food amazing.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Place for FoodiesLove this authentic Italian restaurant that looks on the inside as if one were truly in Italy. The server we had was knowledgable
about the daily changing menu, describing the freshness of the food and the locally grown and sustainable food. Trattoria No 10
is located within walking distance to the theatre district which makes it a plus too. Our experience (girl's weekend) was fabulous and we will definitely be going again when we visit Chicago.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
